are we going to do this? okay This was one of my first recolors... yeah. Someday I'll remake it Anyway, minor fixing on Gothita and Munna (there was a pixel that wasn't supposed to be colored... oops) (just changed the marks a little because it was bugging me)

sweet dreams are made of this who am i to disagree? For pink, I usually start with a yellowish shade, then I go for pink on the darker shades (I did this on Musharna's body). And for red, start with red and go to a wine (something pink or purple-ish) (btw I really like the first ones of both, but the male needs improvement)

Much better actually, but the outline needs a bit of rework, you're not using the correct colors on the right places. This may be because you're following the colors of the original sprite, which work fine there, but not here. The original sprite has a limited palette, but yours don't! So use this freedom wisely. Lemme see if I can get you some kind of a reference... here. The colors you chose really work well together! That's a plus. I also changed some colors so they can fit better :^) Hope you don't mind Anyway, Rufflet and Bravs May I claim Musharna and Conkeldurr, pleeease?

I think that you should remove the black outline from the body and put a dark purple instead, because it contrasts too much on the other colors

No, I used Paint.net because I really know how it works and I've been working with it for a very long time actually. Never used GraphicsGale, but I want to use it sometime soon! They say that it's a program specialized on spriting so it would definitely be easier to use than Paint.net. Also, thank you!!! aaaa, forgot to claim new things taking braviary and cinccino if the four musketeers are okay.

Finally got time to sit and help some of you... well, here are my thoughts on Luxray, Toxicroak and Abomasnow. Luxray: The shading is REALLY hard to see, specially on Shinx/Luxio. Also, the purple is too light for the black outline. You can change the purple to a darker purple or change the black to a dark purple. Btw, yellow is really tricky to work with, specially when you're starting. To shade yellow, you have to change the darker shade to a yellowish orange, this will make it look a LOT better. You can use this Luxray that I just made for a reference. Toxicroak: There is too much going on. There are unnecessary details with colors that don't work well, try keeping it simple, some designs may need some charm here and there but Toxicroak is already too complex to have all these colors. Also, the red is kinda off, try using a more saturated shade of this red on the darker colors, it'll look more vivid. Also, this is a Croagunk/Toxicroak that I made a while ago, but didn't want to post because you already claimed it. (If you want me to create a red one to use as a reference, just tell me) Abomasnow: I loooove your idea, but you aren't executing it well. It looks like you just used a pink filter on the normal abomasnow. My recommendation is that you use a white for the snow, with reeeeeeeally light pink shades (not too saturated like you used), and use the pink leaves for the hands/feet instead of using the brown from the wood. (btw i love this purple detail on its belly) Remember: Create a shiny variaton that you would prefer over the normal one, that's what I follow when editing the sprites. Thanks!!!!!!! aaajjajajaikqkkqllal It took me almost a day to get the colors right the first time. Also, the first design had a blue jewel, like the normal shiny starmie, but I decided to change it to a pink and make a pink psychic aura. anyway im glad you liked!!!!!

~Fixing old stuff~ aaaaaah... Improvement. (slow's red was more like a brown than a red... also fixed some shading) i wasn't happy with mario's mushrooms so i remade paras to look like maplestory's mushrooms. i think that's it??? if there's something you want me to change just tell me

RHYRHY (male) (female) As said before, I'm having some internet issues this month. But I'll try to keep track of this thread. Anyway, about Dusknoir: I think that you should forget the flames on the neck and do it like you did with Dusclops, just changing the color of these... things to match the flame's colors. Also, the flame on its head is a little off, maybe you should take another mon that has flames and put it on Dusknoir's head. (Charmander line, Chandelure, Chimchar line...) If I had the internet/time I would try to help everybody, but unfortunately I can't :^( But I think everyone is doing an amazing work so far, good job! :^) Edit: @Jan, is there any problem if I redo some other sprites that I made while waiting for Gen 5? I think some of them need a bit of reworking. I won't change the whole design, just fix a few things. If it's okay to you, I can post them here.

@Njab (Tangela), @Might Gai (Electabuzz and Sneasel), @Dypatome (Rhydon) do you guys have any problem if we finish your lines? Or do you want to finish them yourself? Because I don't have any claim left and these are the only ones that aren't claimed. So it would help to speed up the process :^)

I really think that you should brighten the colors. My impression is that you are only messing with the value (making the color lighter/darker) and not with the saturation. Increasing the saturation and darkening the colors makes the palette more vivid. (also the dark green is blending with the pink too much) maybe you should try using this one as a base (or just using it, since i did it using your sprite):

Here's my Togekiss for the contest. Messing with Togekiss' colors is really tricky, it's hard to change them and still look like Togekiss. Togekiss is pure, it doesn't need too many details to have its own charm. So, I used one lesson that I learned with writing: sometimes, the cliche is the thing that most fits the situation. I used Melia's palette on Togekiss, and it fits really well. And an angelic aura to accompany Melia's guardian. (I also made a fancy change on the marks on Togekiss' chest to look like card symbols). yes this was a cheesy attempt to convince you to choose my design with motivating words because of my unoriginal design

Ok, a little update on my claims: Vespiquen line is done, but I'm having some... technical issues, so I'm posting this via cellphone. I should get by my friend's house tomorrow so I can post it. Just started to work on Empoleon and on my Togekiss for the contest. (btw idk how to color words via mobile so i'm putting it bold instead)
