  1. A familiar messenger, to some of you, comes through the front doors. Upon seeing the group Jake walks over and hands a wax-sealed scroll to whoever puts their hand out to accept it first. He looks tired to his bones, but smiles upon seeing the Drow and Barbarian again. After one of you takes it he salutes and starts to move back towards the exit. Inside the scroll is a short message: Good Morning Adventurers, Please meet me in my chambers at the Brindol Keep, at your earliest convenience. I have had the night to think it over and I am considering something, and I wished to speak to you about it in person, and in private. Signed, Council Member Eoffram Troyas
  2. @Jace Stormkirk @rustytengo In the Drows case she wakes up 2hours earlier and 'dream' refers to what she was meditating about in her trance. Missed her in the fallout by accident <.<
  3. As you sleep, your mind relives your past experiences. Both of the battles the night before and everything leading up to it. When each of you wake up you feel a little stronger. Morning arrives, when you head down stairs you are told your complimentary breakfast will be ready soon.
  4. To Althea About an hour later, one of the other clerics taps you on the shoulder. "Go get some sleep child, you look like you could fall asleep any moment. We wouldn't want you to make any mistakes because of that. Besides I think we have seen the worst of it, it seems to be calming down now. May The Dawnbringer's light shine bright and illuminate any darkness in your path. "
  5. To Richard "No, sorry, she hasn't come to collect her key yet. Only the half-elf bard, halfling and the owner of the Antler and Thistle have, and they have all gone to their rooms for the night." he replies while smiling.
  6. To Richard + Althea + Maris While you are off on your own, a messenger comes up to to inform each of you that there is a room booked for you at the Avandrian Hostel and the directions to get there. Courtesy of Commander Markus. To Everyone When you eventually aproach the Avandrian Hostel, you see a large three story structure, with warm light flooding out from the bottom floor. Inside you find a large busy common room with a raging fire, As you enter a middle aged halfelf with a scar down his right cheek greets you. Upon inquiring about your room a keyring bearing the symbol of Avandra and a set of directions, leading upstairs, are given to you.
  7. 11, i always looked at the clock by chance at exactly 11:11 when I was younger for no particular reason.
  8. if no one else replies ill give you something but im not home right now
  9. To Richard You find a number of willing participants and a couple of guards, and are shown the way to the stockpile to collect your equipment. To Maris You find a small nook in the corner of a building underneath a tree, that still has a good view of the square, To Yautja + Ragash "Thank you???" he replies to Ragash. He then points to the west "Over there is The Marooned Schooner tavern and around the corner is the Avandrian Hostel inn, I sent a messenger to the inn to organize seven rooms just before."
  10. To Richard + Ragash + Yautja After listening to the messenger that ran up to him, and sending him running back off. The commander turns back to Richard. "An Ensign, hmmm...." A shiver runs down your back, Richard, as the Commander weighs you up. "If you want to help that badly... As a junior officer you should of learnt the basics of fighting fires in cities, I will trust you to organize bucket lines and so forth, to help battle the blaze in the sector you came from. I would hate to of saved this city just for it to burn to the ground." He motions to the very young man on the ground. "Take Jake here to show you where the supplies are kept, you will have to recruit people to help you on your own." Motioning to Ragash and Yautja he follows up with, "I have also heard of what the rest of you have done for my city and I thank you, I will organize somewhere for you all to sleep tonight." He waves another messenger over and starts to whisper in his ear. To Althea You move quite expertly throughout the makeshift hospital, tending wounds, applying ointments to burns, bracing snapped bones. One Cleric keeps a close eye on you for the first 10 minutes but after seeing your work, trusts you enough that she goes back to work herself. To Yisan You spot the stage off to the side, and approach. Climbing the stairs you stand in the center and start playing a beautiful melody, to help soothe the broken hearts of the masses. To Everyone You start to see everyone brighten up slightly as a beautiful song plays throughout the crowd. Slowly you see a few others take up instruments and move to join the charming bard you met at the bar on stage. But only after this wondrous song is finished.
  11. Cool then just post and explain what you want to try do with it in particular (you can make up the injuries/patients as you see fit)
  12. If you chose medicine to have proficiency in then, yes that is right.
  13. To Maris + Yisan The Elf turns to you both "Thanks for helping us get here safely, I'm off." As the elf walks away the barman turns to you. "So what are you going to do now?" He asks while stroking his daughters hair. To Richard "Rank?" the commander asks as another messanger rushes up. To Yautja
  14. To Richard You spot two guards running form different direction and follow them as the approach and elderly man in a more ornate guard uniform. To Ragash He looks you up and down again and his old eyes soften a little, "ahh you must be one of the adventures from the bar I heard about. Thanks for that, the owner is an old friend. I've heard a couple of people..." He stops talking mid sentence as two new guards run up to him. The paladin you met early following them. To Richard + Ragash "Sir, the goblins have turned tail and retreated. One more Ogre was slain and its cart destroyed. We have sent a small squad to close the gates so we can trap and kill as many as possible." splurts the younger of the two new guards, looking barely 15, while huffing a puffing. "Good." replies the commander, "Sit down, here and catch your breath Jake. James tell the squads to push forward and dash the rest of them against the gate." "Yes sir" replies the second slightly older guard as he rushes of, while the younger one sits to catch his breath. "... being abducted though I assume we will find out more about that in the morning," the commander finishes. He looks at the Paladin for the first time. "From the timing of their strike... I would guess to strike fear or perhaps for vengeance. As for the captives, no idea. We will interrogate our prisoners and hopefully find out in the morning." To Althae Over there she says pointing to a large tent that has been re-purposed as a makeshift hospital. As you walk in you see many very badly hurt, or missing limbs. But the life threatening injuries seem to of already been healed with magic. You also see a number of clerics/acolytes moving around between the patients.
  15. Off in the far distance you hear another massive explosion, followed by a plume of smoke. A minute later a chorus of horns blow starting in the distance and moving towards you. You see one of the guards in the market blow a horn in response. To Yautja The cleric looks you over and seeing that you are quite badly wounded clutches the symbol in the shape of a sun around his chest and mumbles something under his breath, you only catch the word "Pelor." (Healed 6hp) "I'm afraid that is all I can spare, I'm expecting many more wounded before this night is over." To Althae "Depends what resources you have available child, you can heal the wounded, either emotionally or physically, or if not just help anyway you can." An elderly feminine voice responds from under a dirty white hood. To Ragash As you are about to leave the little girl yells after you "Rememberrr you promissssed." You find a guard wearing more ornate armor then the rest, and that seems to be issuing orders. Seeing you dressed in rags and not wielding a weapon he responds, "Nothing little girl, that last horn signaled that the enemy is retreating." He turns away and continues barking orders to guards nearby who upon receiving an order quickly scurry off.
  16. One of the guards starts to wave you through, "Come through, there are a couple of healers in the market, though I doubt they will have much magic power left... Anyway get in. If you have any questions find one of the captains." As you enter, it is a strange sight. There are beautiful streamers set up, marquees of every color and a stage set up to the side. And as a counterpoint you see a hoard of civilians. Some wounded, others crying, and even more that are just plain terrified. There are many guards around and they have set up similar barricade at every entrance. You see a few clerics in various robes moving about the crowd, doing what work they can. The civilians that you helped each thank you before moving off into the crowd, to either have their wounds tended or to look for family members. The last remaining civilians are the barman and his family, the elf hunter and the elderly dwarf. You can hear the far off sounds of battle and can see smoke rising to the west/south-west.
  17. As you all move towards the market square you start seeing a number of guards, as you move into the area that has already been secured. Up ahead you see a barricade made of what seems to be upturned market stalls/tables with a dozen guards weilding longspears or crossbows behind it.
  18. To Richard The barmaid shakes her head, "Our house is next to the bar I wouldn't feel safe there. The guard said we would be the safest if we head towards market square while they pushed the goblins out if the rest of the city. Is only a couple of minutes away at this pace." To Everyone You hear a massive explosion, that rocks you to your core, as you see flames crest over the top of the building, in the direction of what once was the explosive filed cart.
  19. A guard moves up and slays the final goblin that is in sight. The rest of the guards rush to get away from the burning cart and to catch up to the civilians , who continue moving north towards the market square.
  20. The goblin near the ogre's charred corpse turns around and squeezes past the burning cart and dashes down the alley out of sight. As the goblins rush the paladin he kills the wounded one as soon as it gets withing striking range. The last goblin leaves a deep gash along an unprotected portion of the paladins body. (7 slashing damage) The barbarian continues to be singed by the flames. (2 fire damage for starting your turn in the flames)
