  1. "Was whoever was panicking out there alright?" Alexandria asks Kyle, "I would have looked myself, but the action would likely have been over by the time I got out there."
  2. "Actually," Alexandria chuckles, "My body was designed to fight dragons, battleships, and other such hard targets at any range while maintaining the mobility and small target profile of infantry. But my heavy shields and skill at attracting attention make me well-suited to drawing enemies out of cover for snipers and artillery to dispatch."
  3. Words emanate from Alexandria's back in time with Kyle's signing, as from now on you should assume they will when he uses sign language near Alexandria unless he asks her to stop. "Ah, Emissary, welcome. I had not seen you there," She greets Jesse. The slight emphasis on the word seen implies to the angel that he had in fact been noticed, but if he's socially adept also conveys that evading her eyesight is still pretty darn impressive. If he's not, Alexandria can be hard for people used to organics to read. "My skills synergize quite well with a marksman's. Experience indicates that we should work quite well together." "And to answer your question, Kyle, I am equipped with many weapons. Unfortunately, most of them seem to be malfunctioning or starved for energy at the moment. My power supply is designed for my home universe, and will take time to adjust to this one's different physical laws and composition. However, my rocket maul, my plasma cannon, and one of my shielding systems are currently at my disposal." "Edmond? Kyle can understand you fine. He just can't talk."
  4. "I could put together a sign-and-speak program to translate," Alexandria offers, "But as I am not certain what you would sound like if you could talk, it would lack inflection, tone, and emotion. Useful in emergencies, at least. But I wouldn't want to talk like that for everyday use."
  5. I am fluent in a dozen different forms, including this one, Alexandria signs back, I took the time to learn after a friend badly injured her vocal cords with an unhealthy amount of shouting.
  6. "I have a radio?" Alexandria offers, "My other long range communications will only work with technologies from my home realm, unfortunately. I do not fully understand how it works, but something called quantum entanglement is supposedly involved. Sometimes I think that scientists just throw 'quantum' at you when they do not feel like explaining things."
  7. "... I believe I have been issued a challenge," Alexandria murmurs happily upon hearing Mar's words, "Excellent. Nobody's had the bearings in far too long." "It is good to know that we've picked up someone else with a level head," She continues in a better-projected tone, "And I suspect that after a few days or weeks in the field many of us will be grateful to have you along, weaponsmith. But I must caution you against eating the fell creatures. I've never seen a predator willingly touch their flesh." "And I am an android, thank you very much. You can tell the difference because a robot wouldn't feel offended about being called one. Or about anything else, really. It's a rather pitiful state of existence."
  8. I'm not planning to play this character at this time, but once I thought of the concept I had to share it. May you feel inspired. Warboss Nik Klaws:
  9. "Hm. This seems to be a day for introductions, doesn't it? I am Alexandria, Primus Councillor. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Alexandria turns her active scanners on the new arrivals to make sure they aren't hiding something dangerous, but does absolutely nothing to outwardly indicate that she's doing this.
  10. "My apologies, friend," Alexandria moves carefully to the side, allowing motes of light to swirl through the sunlight shining in now open window, "This should provide a more ample view."
  11. Since I can't find Alexandria's character sheet post here, I'm going to assume that nobody else is going to have better luck and just repost it now. This is the final version.
  12. "I am Alexandria, and despite the unusual circumstances it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Magus," Alexandria inclines her head slightly in Visrii's direction, as the hard-light barrier falls apart into countless tiny hexagons that vanish as they hit the floor. "I find mages usually have fascinating views on reality, far different from my own."
  13. Alexandria considers following, but decides she wouldn't be able to catch up. Besides, if nobody extends any trust to Solomon, he'll never have a chance to prove himself trustworthy.
  14. "Ah. Simpler then. Very well. Not everyone has the same education, after all. I am an intelligent machine. Every machine has a purpose for which it was created. Mine is to be able to think for myself. A computer can also think for itself, but it is far simpler. A computer is to me as a dog is to a human. I am able to remember things because I was designed with this ability. A thinking machine that cannot remember what it experiences would not be very useful. And an organic is quite simply anything that is alive." "Do you promise to be civil to those you encounter, Solomon? Or do you require supervision to avoid inserting your boots into your mouth?"
  15. "..." "Ah. No. RAM is a type of memory that mechanical beings and advanced computers have. Circuits are a body part, similarly specific to mechanical entities, that serve the same purpose as an organic's nerves."
  16. "Heheheh, Oh, how I needed that. You two are... Oh my," Alexandria scrapes at nonexistent tears with the back of her hand, "I haven't laughed so hard in decades. Now, if you're finished comparing the size of your genitalia, perhaps we can move on to civilized conversation? I think that's the expression..."
  17. "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Alexandria clamps both arms to where humans keep their guts with a hollow 'BOOM!' that reverberates throughout the house as she breaks down laughing. Her barrier flickers and ripples, but quickly restabilizes, "Oh, oh, this is too much. Now say you've got 30% more RAM than him! No, no, tell him your sword's bigger than his sword! Ahahahahahahaha! Oh my circuits I think I'm going to overheat. This is- This- Hahahahahaha!" [OOC: Everyone who's anywhere near the house just heard a loud noise, like a thundercrack or a cannon going off. The poor bastards who were inside with Alexandria probably have tinnitus, although they wouldn't have lost their hearing.]
  18. Fans whir to life deep within Alexandria's chest as the corners of her mouth begin to twitch. Her eyes snap back to their binocular configuration, and an odd clicking noise emanates from the back of her head.
  19. "I am in fact quite concerned that someone will do something stupid," Alexandria 'confirms' with an enigmatic smile, "And the concealment or lack thereof of weapons has no bearing on my ability to detect them. Feel free to leave them wherever you wish. It matters not, as long as you continue to play nice." Her optical sensors unfocus, and each trains themselves on one of the quarrelsome individuals in front of her. [OOC @AGuyPassingThrough: "Little metal lady"? You do realize that Alexandria is over seven feet tall and built like a Greek statue, right?]
  20. Alexandria considers this briefly. "Yes, you are surrounded. And yes, butts were kicked." The subject of these statements is very ambiguous.
  21. Alexandria considers Visrii and Solomon for a few moments. Then, she deploys her hard-light barrier between them, tuned to be almost transparent. "Precautionary countermeasures deployed. Please continue."
  22. "She's totally a lich. Not that there's anything wrong with that, unless you fueled your transformation with sapient sacrifice or did it to someone without their permission."
  23. "I reserve the right to refuse if I disagree with that statement. But there is no harm in asking."
  24. "Only at ranges that a human would be able to detect it. However, my broad spectrum E.M. scanner is working properly, so I can detect heat and other emissions as long as I am not near that dragon. His presence drowns out anything else I might be looking at. It's harmless, but enough."
