  1. Satomi blinked as Alma explained why she'd called them. A nice goal, very admirable - seeing humanity come back from this was what they all wanted, wasn't it? She'd not known much about the others, but enough to have an inkling where it was going. Still, she was quiet as she listened to Alma recount their losses. ...It had certainly hurt. She was 7 at the time - she was a smart kid, and understood what had happened to some degree. But she'd so, so wished that she hadn't. Father hadn't been much help after that either. Or since. Again, adjusting her glasses. She considered her words carefully. "...I like to think I feel fine, Doctor. That said, I don't think I'd have a problem coming to talk if an issue comes up." ...Well, Beverly wasn't entirely wrong about the patient confidentiality thing. Satomi didn't mean to bring up any issues she may or may not have when there were people right here. Still, probably best not to start off the new world burning bridges - which was apparently an opinion at least one of the girls here did not share.
  2. Satomi had been relieved that she'd gotten through the tests with all being well, and even more so when they returned her glasses - she could properly see, at least. Getting out of the jumpsuit and into normal clothes felt nice too - her clothes were nothing particularly fancy, and in fact a bit casual. A clean white button-shirt and a blue skirt, black leggings, and sneakers. She'd slipped on her hoodie too - she was just a bit chilly still, but the doctor had said that was normal, considering how they'd been practically ice cubes. She'd been about to call her dad - he wouldn't be too busy to hear that she was alright, probably - when other staff ushered her and a couple others into an office. What was it? Had something happened...? She sat down, her leg bouncing and occasionally adjusting her glasses (oh god it felt better to have those again), as she waited for something to happen in quiet. Satomi had nearly stood as the woman entered, but relaxed as the doctor's tone implied a bit less serious of a matter. She took a deep breath as the doctor informed them they were fine. "Good to meet you, Doctor Neummann." she says, shoving the nerves out of her voice. "Satomi Hashimoto. ...Why was it that you called us here, if I can ask?"
  3. Satomi gave Beverly this look, and then turned back to Kyou. She gave a nervous smile and did that adjusting-glasses thing again that would probably work better with glasses. "Heh... I wouldn't really call myself a 'princess' or a 'celebrity' really. That implies I've done something. And I'm sure he's not a mad scientist. I only heard him laugh maniacally that one time, and it was more a crazy giggle really." She's pretty clearly joking there.
  4. Satomi rubbed the back of her head a bit awkwardly. "...A bit important, I guess." Satomi wasn't generally the one to bring such a thing up, not really liking the attention. "He was in the pod right next to mine, but he'd already gone to get his checkup when I looked."
  5. Forge Forge concentrates for a bit, finding the specific one that had gone that route. Huh... "It went this way, definitely. But... it feels like it's still going. It hasn't run into anything yet."
  6. "You live here. I'm sure you'll be plenty helpful." Satomi says. She glances at the door. How long...? "I guess you could say that. Father's a scientist, yeah. Doctor Daisuke Hashimoto."
  7. Satomi nods. "Most of us lived at a facility called NERV-03 in Germany for a long time before the Arks launched. They had a school for the kids and teens, so most of us know each other from that." she says, gesturing to the others. "When we have time, by the way, could we talk? I have a bunch of questions about how life on the trip over was for the ones not in cryo. Assuming the scientists that were frozen don't run a bunch of tests on the crew to see any sort of differences in those born in space. Father's probably gonna be curious about that... well, so am I really. But that's besides the point."
  8. Satomi closes her eyes and repeats that action where there should have been glasses. ...I really hope they can get me some glasses or something soon, nothing being there is going to drive me crazy... "...How about we just not start off like that, alright? Not so soon after waking up..." she turned to the gender-ambiguous blob and cleared her throat. "My name is Satomi Hashimoto. It's good to meet you, Kyou." Then, to Ahmed, she shook her head. "I can make out shapes well enough not to walk into a wall. Probably."
  9. Dia on Silef. 3d4+1.25 SYN --- Strength 5 (+1 due to Blade Ring) Dexterity 8 Intelligence 0 Synergy: 9 Resistance: 9 (due to armor) Constitution: 4
  10. "Hmmm, hmmm hmm hmmm..." came the humming, as Jess approached. "Hello, William. Those who wanted to help were supposed to gather with you, right?"
  11. Forge Forge sticks near Sense, in the center. As they walk, she drops a few metallic balls. Two roll on ahead, sensing around for anything of suspicion. Another goes behind them, checking for any attacks from the rear. She has two more roll beside them for the moment, to split off if there's a divergence in the path.
  12. Satomi still couldn't see very well, but her ears were working good enough. She squints the speaker - "Ahmed? That you? Sorry, from the sounds of it they forgot to mention my glasses in the medical records, so you're sorta just a colorful blob right now." she reached up and pushed at the bridge of her nose, a muscle-memory response that really doesn't do anything due to lacking glasses to adjust right now. "Could have at least got me some contacts... Anyway, Kyou. Glad to help- on the way here? I thought most of us woke up at the same time-" she stopped. "Ooooooh... I think I see what you mean."
  13. Satomi blinks as the ... person of indeterminate gender as she arrives in unorthodox fashion on the scene. She... didn't recognize this person. Granted, she didn't have her glasses or even her contacts (don't want to risk anything extra in the pod), so that was to be expected really - most people were just colorful blobs, which she could only make out enough not to run into. So she just stared at this new colorful blob for a solid 5 seconds, before suddenly registering that she should talk. Her mouth worked for a bit to figure out how to talk again - it had been frozen for over a hundred years after all. She eventually found her words. "Konichi-" she paused, and switched to English. "Uh... hello, Kyou? I don't think you're late. We're waiting to get in."
  14. Satomi Satomi was a bit disoriented, coming out of cryo. She'd known what to expect of course. But that hadn't really prepared her for it. She remembered when she'd stood there, staring at the cryopod that would hold her for... who the heck knows how long. That was certainly a thought, as she suited up (she was just glad they'd designed those jumpsuits - this would be a thousand times more awkward if they were naked). She'd be there for a hundred years at a generous guess. The maintenance people would walk around, right past her pod. Just one of thousands of ice sculptures. They might do maintenance on it, making sure that ice sculpture stays alive long after they pass on. At least she hoped they did, or she would never wake up. And if all went well, and she did wake, she'd be far, far away from the home she'd known all her life without much if any odds of seeing it again. It was... really rather frightening. But she watched her father get into his pod without hesitation, and she couldn't help but join him. Freezing cold was the last thing she felt. An instant later, Satomi woke. Had something gone wrong with the pod? Would she be trapped in there until she died? Or would she get out, and have to live out her days on that ship - her father waking up, maybe to find her grandkid if she married? These thoughts went through her mind sluggishly as the cold seeped from her, and the pod opened. In her blurry vision a white figure approached. Oh, was she dead? What the heck had she done to go to heaven then? She felt it touch her, she heard some gibberish words. Could you speak Japanese (or English, or German. Just some language she understood), Mister or Miss Angel? Satomi wasn't even religious, but the iconography was familiar. As she exited the pod, the blur began to clear and she began to feel warmth as something was wrapped around her shoulders. The disorientation began to fade - not angels, medical staff. Alright then. Second hypothesis then... no, no. Father had said it would feel instantaneous. But it had been a long, long time since she'd entered that pod - these people were not the same medical staff who had left Earth. They went through a few basic tests - heart rate fine. Her eyes are tracking - hey, stay with me Miss Hashimoto - tracking fine. Reflex- that's a strong kick, good. She was already being shuffled into line by the time she thought to look for Father - but he'd already gone to the 50-60 year old group, her being grouped with other teens. She would need to find him later. She glanced around the line, seeing if she recognized anyone with her from NERV-03.
  15. Yuri smiled right back. She saw copious amounts of pink in her future, but at least she made Yuki smile. She went and purchased a Simple Elegant Coord (Rosette Masquerade). "Guys, we've got to go and do other things too..."
  16. Clarisse braced for the attack - it was going to hurt like a bitch, she was sure, she wasn't so good against magic. That prediction came true, it hurt, but it was also a lot more than that. Clarisse was pissed. Now this would be normal usually, but Clarisse's a pretty chill sort of woman. Nonono, this was not natural anger at being attacked - this was a haze of rage. She stumbled from the attack - and then went and smacked whoever the hell looked at her after it. Unfortunately it happened to be Emilee rather than someone on the other side. Sooooo... a literal hammer, and as she went down like a sack of potatoes the effect wore off. "Huh... what-what happened? ...Oh hell did I- does someone have a vuln here!?" she then turned to see the one who'd done that. With not-induced anger. "...You really should not have done that."
  17. I'm aware of it and read it. Not particularly good if I'm being honest, but considering that it's basically the first gender-bender manga I've found that isn't hentai mostly since Ranma 1/2 and that one with the aliens genderbending a guy they ran their ship into by accident I'll take it
  18. Yuri put down the Elegant Coord and walked over to her twin, patting Yuki on the back. "I know you want to wear cute things, but we need to do it for the show. There'll be plenty of chances to look absolutely adorable on stage, I guarantee it!" She leaned in and whispered something in Yuki's ear - "Look, after the show I'll let you dress me up in whatever cute clothes you want to, alright? To make up for it." She took a step back to look at Yuki with the Regal Coord, making a show of thinking about it. "Mmmm... yeah, I think it'd look good on you."
  19. Quote: P011 - Vivian Loki (Welp, guess I have to give her the ability to screw with peoples' sex now) Please do Think of the shenanigans it could cause
  20. Already having her personal dress, Yuri looked at the non-cool ones, for future shows. "Well, it's sort of the style that most idols go for. When you sign up for being an idol you sign up for that. I'm sure that when we get big you can get a custom outfit for your own tastes." She took a glance through them, she hovered on the sexy and pop ones. They'd done a cutesy song for their (disastrous) debut, they were doing a song with a cool tone now... logically, they'd do sexy and pop ones at some point in the near future. She grabbed a Simple Elegant Coord. "Think this would look alright on me?"
  21. Mmm On one hand, Forge might feel inclined to stay and she's not much help in a direct assault I don't think. On the other hand, she's got a reasonable means of rudimentary communications with that metal thing, which is rather useful when there's a stealth operation involved and just in general. HMmmm
  22. I have too many games but have been wanting an NGE game for a long time sooooo very much yes Question: will this be a free-form type thing or is there going to be some sort of solid system?
  23. "That's true, but you're going to be doing an Appeal too, so it's probably smart for you to get a dress that's a bit fancier for the show. Gives a bit more impact to your performance. and like I said, these are pretty cheap. I already have a new dress from that job me and Azusa did... I might go for a Cute or Sexy type dress, for a future show."
