"This session was very interesting, I look forward to working with you folks in the future." He nods, as the Gang Leave the Testing Area. -- <"Very Distrusting, yes."> <"The Guild is Canada's Protectorate. We do a lot of the same things, but in addition, The Guild does not have a Wards Division, and Furthermore, we often work to hunt down and attempt to kill S-Class Threats, or Contain them."> "Nothing but Forewarning, I'm sure. Panacea isn't exactly a member of the Wards, after all. She is aligned with New Wave, who would be good to contact if you wanted to get into contact with her. I can give you their business line, if you like?" -- The Gang eventually make their way back to the city, It is now around Noon, and a few party members may be growing tired, if they weren't already. The group attracts a great deal of attention, phones flashing to take photos, and a general murmur of interest and curiosity.

<"Unfortunately, no, Piggot certainly would not allow me to have surveillance in her own office."> <"Unfortunately, the best way to prove that you cannot do something in this city is to simply have a completely unrelated power, or a branch of your company devoted to PR. I get the feeling your group is not suited to the finer nuances of Public Relations anyway."> "It's worth testing! I am sure she is up to the task, she is very diligent and experienced with her ability, and curing viral infection is certainly within the scope of her power." Dragon says to Harry, her projected image nodding. -- The Mandalorian rushes through the process of Forging and smithing with ease and speed, samples going to Armsmaster for testing, while Dragon's watchful eye examines through a camera. Armsmaster, meanwhile, Nods at Frigus's explanation. "Very good. I believe we have all we need, unless any of you have further revolutionary replicate tinkertech to share with us. I look forward to more joint Projects of this nature. I'd like to retain any leftover Bescar for testing of my own." -- "Unfortunately, no, The closest Grey Boy Victim is a few states away. I believe this was a good testing session. Remember my suggestions, if you would. Lilly, Leverage your powers more, they are being used too directly, for how fragile the constructs are. Calvera, use your environment and tools to your advantage, a force multiplier of any kind in your hands is a lethal tool. Kusuke, look into things which are not re-usable, such as guns, vehicles, or something as simple as CO2 powered objects. Your ability to rewind time should allow you to use them indefinitely." "A parahuman based in Montreal, his power allows him to manipulate the emotions of others, he maintains a harem using his abilities, including several parahumans. Though his is a major threat, all attempts to capture him have failed, due to his parahuman force and various moles giving him more than enough forewarning to prevent anyone getting the drop on him, assuming his current compound is even found." Linebacker answers Proditor. "Well, I noticed that your Energy Rope is especially weak. You need to use it more intelligently, try stringing it between two points, low to the ground. It might make a powerful area control tool, or a method of disrupting speedsters. Many of them rely on being able to move over the ground." He says to Lilly Linebacker Proceeds to Coach Lilly in creating Mana Rope to trip foes. "As for you Calvera, consider utilizing things which react violently to heat." He walks outside for a moment, before returning with a can of soda. "Like this." "No pressure, there, Kusuke, there is only positives to be gained from attempting. Any possible effect would be better than their current state. Lastly, do you believe you could rewind an object? If so, I think you would be best served using vehicles or other temporary objects to your advantage, Those are often limited by fuel, which you can simply renew." Clockblocker eventually leaves, bored. -- <"Well, I'm not one to gossip. You are all certainly an interesting bunch, it's refreshing, quite honestly!"> <"As for your threat levels, I get the feeling none of you are very up to date on Earth Bet's History, considering how blase many of you are about your capabilities. The ability to manipulate human minds, create minions, and advanced biological powers, all of those are terrifying in general for many. Some of the world's worst S-Class threats are related to those Classes of effect. Your Team is certainly very worrying, no matter what threat levels you are assigned. Bonesaw, Biological Tinker, like your own ability, Nilbog, Master who can turn living biomass into minions, who have their own powers, Heartbreaker, controls the emotions of others, and has never suffered a lasting loss due to having a harem of parahumans protecting him. Simurgh, Telekinetic Precog who has the power to produce a scream that slowly reprograms the minds of others, turning them into ticking time bombs, waiting to cause mass death after trying to achieve high positions of authority or power."> <"Each one is an S-Class threat, the worst possible threats to humanity as a whole."> Then, Out loud. "Well, it might be either one, I am not sure how her power interacts with noncellular proteins. Visiting her should not be an issue, she is usually working at the hospital in much of her waking hours." -- Those that Follow Armsmaster would find themselves in a large empty room plated in some unknown metal. "Tinker Testing Area. We don't normally use it for creating tinkertech, but it's large." He gestures to the Blacksmith's shop, which has been brought in rather quickly. A simple Tungsten-alloy forge with an array of tools, tinker or otherwise. "Frigus, I am not normally in the habit of producing jewelry. I imagine there is some unknown effect caused by that metal of yours?"

"No, no, nothing like that, it's just that your breaker state was a bit more than our equipment could handle, you probably exerted, what, a few billion degrees of heat? Thank god it's manton-limited." Linebacker Genius says to Calvera. "Your ability is one that could do pretty darn well with some more kit. If you are willing, you could probly' receive a pretty good amount of money powering a reactor if you do that on demand." "You two seem to have a pretty good handle on your tricks, how good is your rope control? I might have an idea for later." He says to Lilly and Ador. "As for you, Kusuke, I'd like you to try and pop a Grey Boy Bubble ASAP, Ol' Clockblocker here is a risin' star cause of how good his power is. As far as we got on record, he freezes something, and it isn't going to be 'Moved' at all. You can, so I'm a bit exited about that trick." And indeed, the fit lab-coat wearing hero does have a relaxed and pleased posture. "Yeah, Armsy brought in a mini-nuke one time, as part of my extended power testing, didn't even scuff the paper I froze." Clockblocker says, on the back foot after seeing his power rendered completely impotent. After this, Linebacker looks to Proditor. "I'd like to ask you to allow for additional testing whenever is possible, if you believe you can cure victims of the Simurgh or Heartbreaker, Then it warrants further testing. There are no shortage of people who would pay any price to see a cure for that Endbringer's power over others, even an intensive one as you claim." -- Armsmaster bears the verbal lashing from Lucile rather well, in all honesty. "It's fine Frigus, Satomi. Protocol dictates that to prevent alienating potential allies, that certain unorthodox beliefs not be challenged, so long as they do not interfere with procedure or allude to future illegal acts. Myridian is a well respected member of the Protectorate, after all. He too believes his abilities to be magical in nature, due to their aesthetic, and for all we know of powers, his stance is unfortunately no more inaccurate than any other we have developed." Armsmaster says politely. "I will say however, it is odd to claim that parahuman abilities are 'discovered'. I personally would not describe a Trigger Event as a discovery, aside from possibly in the most literal sense." "I approve of your design, Satomi. Given nothing but analogue components, it may well exceed anything I myself would have designed, under the circumstances. I look forward to collaborating with you more directly in the future, even if it is only in a small capacity due to the limited overlap of our abilities." Finishing his speech, he turns on his heel, gesturing for Mirri to follow. It is at this point that Dragon decides to take a screen over entirely, she has a bit of a sour look on her face, like someone who caught a lemon flavored fly in their mouth. "Well. That was certainly something." She comments. "As for your question Harry, I have a program running right now that lets me monitor goings on in the Rig and Armsmaster's lab. I can monitor everything currently active here. The Protectorate and Guild work in very close tandem, myself especially. Why do you ask?" -- (12, 1) Forced to knock on her door instead of sneaking up behind her, Piggot answers the door to her office, looking disgruntled in the same way an atom bomb explosion seems "warm". Jun speaks at her, to which she responds. "Is that so? Then give me an explanation for why I have to file papers that are clearly the work of liars, madmen, or the single most dangerous parahuman group that don't have a kill-order or Protectorate Punch card? None of you even have your stories straight, only half of you are willing to even pretend being functioning human beings, and all of you seem to be in agreement that you know better than us regarding the safety of this city." "Or did I imagine the mix of Unstable Masters, Tinkers, and other horrific powersets among you all, any of which would cause massive problems on their own, who appeared from nowhere, with unknown goals and vague allusions of being a force of good?" "If I had even the slightest inclination that any of you had done anything illegal worth noting, we would not be having this conversation, you would be in a Master/Stranger testing cell to see which one of your teammates is controlling all of you, and my peace of mind wouldn't be shot to hell." "But I don't, So instead, I have to register a new Parahuman Independent team with a ridiculous name and aspirations to demonstrate the lowest group cohesion in a parahuman team since the Archer's Bridge Merchants were formed." Finishing her rant at Jun, Piggot Firmly closes her door, and locks it.

Armsmaster stands stock-still, listening to the various comments and responses. "Yes. My nanoforge and nanolathe do not suffer from things like "errors". If the object designed is made from molocules, I believe it can accurately produce it." "I produced all of the technology you see here. Tinkers such as myself have the ability to produce technology not possible in the modern era, with several stipulations." (4, 2) The Nanoforge begins extruding a dowel of some red-hot substance, which cools into a brown colored stone. Several more are slowly extruded one after the other, resulting in a final product of 17 Dowels, each one a full kilogram in weight. "My Workshop is too cramped for what you seem to intend with this. I will have what you need brought into room 24 B, Would you like to produce this supposed Metal first, or help me complete my Micro Fusion Core?" (17, 1) At the same time, the Nanoforge Extrudes a silvery metal, grey and glittering. Armsmaster, looking at Frigus for a moment, points at the dowel, which eventually cools enough to handle. Frigus would find that the metal's structure is already filling with magical energies from the air nearby, it seems that the internal structure of it is the key to the magical metal's nature. It is clearly different than Mythril, however, due to this lab's magic being different than the magic that was used to create the mythril on Frigus's own person. -- Proditor is presented with 3 Boxes now. A cursory glance at each false mind shows several different effects. One effect seems to be simple chemicals, introduced to manipulate thoughts through hormones Another seems to take control of the electrical activity found in the brain, resulting in certain thoughts constantly being inserted, along with impulsive actions The third is actual rewiring of certain parts of the brain, which is used to remove memories and implant hypnotic suggestions and commands, which can have specific conditions tied to their activation. (14, 8) The third is... Different. Proditor nearly misses it. It seems that the entire brain has been rewired subtly, using physical manipulation of it, the entire mind is hardwired to become aggressive and homicidally misanthropic once very specific conditions are met, or when the brain receives a sufficient amount of satisfaction or stress as the result of being in a position of extreme power. The strange thing is that this rewiring would never work unless the person doing it knew exactly what conditions the host would be put under, long in advance. This simulation would never work, as is, but it seems to have been intended to cause an individual to seek high ranking positions, and then snap, causing mass death or harm to others. Clockblocker happily takes Kusuke's hand, at which point he feels an odd sensation of being completely frozen in time. (9, 1) Being Kusuke, he simply starts himself moving again, while Clockblocker is in the middle of pulling out a sticker. It seems the sticker reads "Clockblocked!", and has a rather humorous cartoon Clockblocker on it, who is giving a thumbs up. Kusuke can practically see the moment where the young man's mirth turns to cold sweat as the handshake completes, un-clockblocked. "Uhh-" "-Apparently nothing to you, big guy." he says, throwing hands to air in what is probably supposed to be nonthreatening. The sticker flies into the air from the rude motion it is subjected to. It is at this point that Calvera explodes into white hot fire, turning what once was a beautiful sticker into a floating mist of ash. Dummies and machines are completely eradicated, and the barrier protecting Linebacker sags with heat, though, strangely, nobody is hurt. Calvera is promptly sprayed with fire retardant foam and containment foam, while alarms blare loudly. Linebacker rubs his eyes, groaning lightly. Pulling out his phone again, he requests someone to bring in the counter-agent for the containment foam.

"Very well. As you all may know. My specialty is miniaturization." "Myself and Mirri will complete the Fusion Core I have half-completed, Harry will produce what he can using my chemical synthesizer, with Dragon's assistance, and I'll set my scanner to replicating your material sample using my nanoforge, if possible. Satomi, have either dragon or one of your companions aid you in producing something with my nanolathe, it can essentially print objects from raw molecular stock, with little to no flaws Your Thinker ability to produce efficient engineering marvels should work nicely in tandem with it." Armsmaster says to the group, and then to Frigus and Saitomi specifically. He takes the sample, and sets it in a small box attached to his supercomputer, which immediately begins producing colorful lights and sounds in an effort to make out what this material is made of. (7, 17) Armsmaster's head jerks back to the screen scanning the small splinter of Mythril. "Silver, Iron, traces of carbon in specific patterns." "There's an energy present in that sample that my scanners aren't picking up. Can you elaborate?" he says, at the same time pulling a drawer out which has a small palm sized device, whose wiry guts are spilling out. He places the device on his table, a series of instruments also being placed there. Harry would find that as he connects to the Chemical Synthesizer, Dragon has opened a text dialogue on one of the screens, at the very bottom beneath the machine's diagnostics and User Interface. Finally, Armsmaster waves off Mirri's question. "I should be able to produce 37 Pounds for testing out of my existing discretionary tinkering budget. Will that be an adequate amount of this ore?" (19, 15) Lucile hears a practical symphony of subtle noise coming from all of the active machinery, lightning coursing through metal veins, molecular spin repurposed into crude gears made of fundamental particles, and quarks made into things that she can only roughly consider matter or energy at all. -- "Wow, Freeform master power. That will be fun to explain to the higher ups. And that Vocal effect is also rather impressive, some sort of sound based telekinesis, with another additional master effect. Arminius, could you try to mock or taunt this-" He has a large metal block placed on the ground. "Into being thrown in a specific direction? Say, making it fly upward, as a result of your damaging effect? As for you, Proditor, your ability to influence brain chemistry and electrochemestry at the same time, seemingly at your command, make you a potentially powerful asset for countering other master effects, With your permission, I'd like to use an emulation software to make the machine imitate being under the effects of a few common master effects we have on record, to test if you can sense or counter them." He thinks for a moment, that is indeed a conundrum. "I think I might have an idea, Kusuke." He pulls out a phone, asking for someone named "Clockblocker" to be brought in. Before long, a teenager in a white, clock themed outfit arrives. "So, who called for the all powerful Clockblocker, master of Time itself?" He laughs, speaking in a clearly joking manner. Seeing Kusuke, he walks over and offers a handshake.

Armsmaster gives Harry a look. "No, not wholesale. I believe given time and effort, a viral agent could be engineered, by producing DNA and the protein shell separately, and assembling them using other chemical agents, but that would be a project at the bleeding edge of my Tinker Specialization. That besides, I have no knowledge of biology sufficient to make a virus of any import." "A prion however would be trivial, provided I had the information needed." "I am required to log people who are capable of that though. Are you implying you have the ability to create viral agents?" Armsmaster says, with no real tension in his voice, and a certain creeping curiosity. At the same time, he pulls a drawer open, and pulls out a frayed cable, one end of which he places in his nanolathe. After some typing and manual adjustment, a cable compatible with Harry's pad is made. -- "Uhh, Yeah, Hold on bud." Another button brings up a thick rectangle of machinery. "This should record a wide range of Master Effects used on it. It's about as close as we can get to a fake brain."

"Do you believe you could produce a sample of this armor compound with my nanoforge? I have most elemental substances available, but it cannot make sub-atomic constructs freely yet." Armsmaster says to Mirri, glossing over the other factors. His own scanners have already failed to penetrate her armor beyond a very thin layer. A testament to it's durability in relation to energy based effects. He then turns to Harry. "It is still very rudimentary. I am not a chemical tinker by trade, so the best I can do currently is make variable output tranquilizers. It has been a several month porocess developing one with this tool, but it is very robust, and can function well enough to overpower Lung's regenerative ability." "Creating organic compounds should be possible, so long as they do not exceed a certain singular size and complexity."

With an Awkward look from Armsmaster, he simply nods, not feeling that anything productive will come from further discussion. -- Tinker Team (<3) One group is led by Armsmaster, down winding halls and up an elevator, until finally, a bright blue door opens up, revealing a small room covered in drawers, a single table, and a series of monitors. With the press of a button, Holograms appear next to all of his drawers, scrolling through tools and inventory he has, while the monitors begin to scroll through blueprint after blueprint. "What do you all specialize in." Armsmaster says, turning on his heel to face the assorted rabble. Armsie's inventory -- Testing Team (Team Guinea Pigs) The other group is led to a large auditorium made of panels of metal, hexagonal in shape. With a few Button Presses, Linebacker Genius sets up a Clear substance to rise up out of the floor, forming a barricade which he stands behind. With another button press, a series of cloth dummies are placed on the ground, 20 in total. With a final button press, a strange contraption rises up, it has a pole going horizontally between two mechanisms, and a simple screen which reads "0 Pounds, 0 Ounces, 0 Kilograms" Another device appears to be a rather large treadmill, about the size of an office cubical, two handles on either side serve as safety rails. Finally, a turret rises up, and more clear material surrounds it, with a clearly defined area to walk into the middle of the impromptu firing range. The Dummies are made of some sort of black foam, wrapped around sheets of electronics and a steel cored stand, they seem to be roughly shaped like a human form, in that they have defined arms, legs, and a head. One of them has a sheet of paper with a smiley face drawn on crudely, which seems to make Linebacker smile. "Well, Let's go through one at a time, I suppose." Linebacker says. "The dummies are for general damage testing, they have some expensive sensors to see just how good you all are at beating people up. The bar over there is for brute testing, and the turret shoots different types of ammunition to test durability, or with lighter test rounds, other abilities, such as dodging."

"The work produced by Tinkers is made in such a way that it is not replicable or understandable by non-tinkers, and furthermore, it is unable to be maintained by a non-tinker as well, resulting in Tinkertech quickly becoming useless without it's creator available to maintain it, and only so much work can be done by one person." (Kusuke) : (13, 13) Kusuke seems to have everything in order. He gets another form. -- (Mirri) : (20, 2) Mirri's work is phenomenal. Once all of them are filed away for later review, she sits there, an indescribable expression on her face. Everyone sits there awkwardly, or stands, if there is no room to sit. She takes a long look at everyone in the room. before her eyes land on Kusuke, who stares back unblinking. A mug of Coffee in his hand mirroring the one on her desk. Finally, she blinks, a forlorn look appearing for a moment on the previously stony eyes, finally, a decision is made. "Get the hell out of my office." Not one to argue, the party leaves, and with a simple motion, she slams the door shut. Armsmaster, Linebacker Genius, Assault, and now a new figure, the one who was paired with Assault in the previous meeting, stand awkwardly nearby. "That went very well, I feel." Linebacker says, clapping his hands together with a smile. Now, it seems the party has some decisions to make, regarding what they do now that they are officially sanctioned for operating in this world.

Nodding, Linebacker Genius guides the party through a series of scanners, one bleeps, another bloops, several of them make whirring noises, and flashy lights are abound at every stage. After that litany of tests, the gang is finally brought before their most daunting challenge yet, the simple office doors stand before them, it's opaque window proudly emblazoned with the name of the master of the horrors ahead. "Office of -Director Emily Piggot-" Only trials await each member at this stage. Only horrors lie ahead. With what is surely an imagined creaking, the doors open, further imagined fog sweeps out, a pale gray wind, carrying the scent of boredom, and the odor of universally mildly malicious intent. Inside, the party's only lifeline in the coming battle, a battle possibly unlike any some of them have ever faced, but no less deadly for it's nature, nor any more interesting for it's novelty. A battle with the very notion of getting all important information in writing, multiple times, preferably. Director Piggot looks irritated, though the party does not know why, it is simple enough to assume that she both has a reason, and does not need one, in all honesty. A bench directly outside of her office offers seats where needed, considering the large volume of people involved. "Let's get through this as quickly as possible. I don't have all day." Emily says, leaning back. She pulls out a fat stack of papers, which is divided, then passed around. Each stack basically amounts to

"Yeah, I usually go to all the bases whenever I'm needed, since my thinker power doesn't work through cameras." He answers Frigus. "Well, we had a problem a while back with someone calling themselves a tinker, joining up, and then immediately blowin' off a bomb in the break room. So now we make sure people are actually tinkers, and not just crazy, and we check for bombs." He continues, answering Harry's Question. "I've got a neat power that makes it so I can figure out how people can use their powers or skills better, and what their powers can be used, or how they piece together with others. They call me in every time a new time controllin' cape comes in. It don't work too well on Thinkers, Tinkers, and Trumps though. Their powers usually don't do stuff I can see. As for why they call me that, I figured out I had powers after the PRT came and told me my Football team was gettin' thinker help." He finishes, his last line aimed at Jun.

"Yup, I've got to be touching something to take it one way or the other." Assault says, nodding. The party is escorted onto a lift, which begins taking them up, higher and higher, they see out of a window, and overlook the bay in the process, the morning light glittering over the morning tide. Eventually, the lift slowly, and with precise finality, comes to a halt. The doors in the lift hiss open for drama's sake, and a litany of scanners and arches dot the path in front of them, people scramble about, doing whatever it is they do for a job here, and a heavily muscled man in a lab coat walks in, a clipboard in hand, and football helmet on his head. "Howdy Assault, Howdy Part." he says, nodding with a gentle serenity and polite western accent. "The name's Linebacker Genius, you can call me Linebacker though, Piggot called me in for some heavy duty power testing. If I recall, she wanted me to bring you over to her office first for some paperwork, right?" He says, explaining himself. "Now, considering we are keeping the kid gloves on, we'd appreciate it if you had the courtesy to remove any high explosives on your person, they'll be returned when we're done in the sensitive areas, course, but bombs make us a little more nervous than parahumans round here, and the scanners are mostly set to track anything like that." Linebacker says simply, waving to a hilariously mundane plastic red tub on a table before the first scanner.
