  1. "We're getting drafted for war!" Dackly shouts, cheerfully. Gozer mechanically puts a hand to his face. "Did I do that right, Dackly, or was I supposed to slap the back of your head for that comment?" "No, no, you do the headslap when you are exasperated." Gozer thinks for a moment. He is fairly certain that means he simply won't be doing that gesture.
  2. -- Eric's trip to the waffle house nets him a nice large breakfast, he meets an old couple, and sees some cool birds outside as well. After sating his hunger, and bumping into a strange lady, who apologies are shared with, he spends a ton of time at the beach, swimming, collecting seashells, and generally enriching his life through relaxation and a genuine appreciation for nature and the outdoors. This outdoor adventure is nicely contrasted by the Videogames he rots his mind with immediately after, immersing himself in the virtual worlds of gaming, albiet, he can't seem to decide which one he wants to stick with, before topping his day off with a home-made supper. The old people were named Martha and Johnny. -- Akitsuki begins their day with calm and calculated exercises and a humble but enjoyable breakfast, this leaves them feeling energized and ready to face the day ahead of them. They then put that energy to good use reading manga for several hours, before taking their lunch at the local Ramen Joint, the place is packed for it's small size, but the food, as always, is just so worth it. Making their way home, they spend some time watching Academia, filling their mind with dazzling intrigue and zany action, and their stomach with empty, which they promptly fix, before spending their time before sleeping at long last, after a satisfying day. The Ramen Shop owner sure seemed overworked. -- Arthur wakes up, without so much as a snack or a shower, this case is just too important to him. Too much is riding on it, he spends several hours interviewing several suspects, all of which are unnerved by his demeanor, and appear to be helpful to the untrained eye of a normie, but to him, they are all belligerent, all of them hiding secrets. One of them finally coughs it up, blood stains in the back of the local washery, the clothes washery, to be exact. He rushes over the minute he finds out, leaving his companions and assistants in the dust. The lead was a bust, literally, someone busted cherry juice in the backroom. People watch too many movies today, thinking those stains look anything like blood. He would know. God would he know. However, the juice could not have been there unless the culprit was, because there was a red stained scrap of cloth bearing this exact color at the crime scene, someone with a stained shirt like that would want to get it cleaned. In fact, They would want to get it cleaned at this very washery. He tackles the Washery Owner, pinning him to the ground and arresting him. Another case well done, Arthur then chugs down a bottle of celebratory whisky, passing out on his bed in the revelry that only solving a tough case can give. The Washery Owner was named Julius. -- A good breakfast is the foundation of a great day, Asashi builds on this foundation, built from eggs and bacon, by performing rudimentary exercizes, by her standards at least, practicing her martial arts with efficiency and grace. Work like that builds up an appetite, so she decides to treat herself to a local Italian place, bumping into some thin guy in a funny videogame shirt, apologies are made, and she continues to the Restaurant, a place called Tenor Bella, next to some kind of ramen joint. It is expencive, but oh so worth it to enjoy a meal from this place, as it never fails to impress. The waiter was especially nice. He might have been expecting a better tip for it, though. The Restaurant seems to be closed tomorrow, Asashi thinks she saw something in the news about an employee here turning up dead. -- All [Theme: The Deep End] Everyone would find themselves awake, (maybe?) in a black void. In the floor of this strange black space they find themselves in, the events of their days seem to be replaying, appearing in dark purple, yellow, and occasionally red, before slipping back into the fuzzy blackness. Despite this appearance, the floor is solid, and stable. In the distance, a pool of red liquid can be seen, like paint, or some sort of red water, it glows brightly. --
  3. "Jeeze, hold a grudge why don't you. Me and Gozer have to do something useful, LOTUS-sempai." Dackly says, stowing the scraps of tech in her inventory.
  4. "No, certainly not, I have an idea, considering the false life you are able to imbue into your creations, and Alchemy's properties, I believe we might have something VERY intriguing to test." "You see, in Alchemy, I can substitute by proxy, if I need a humanoid form, I don't need a human, I can simply use an effigy, an imitation, meant not to replace, but to represent it." "Could you assemble these parts into an empty frame, like you might do to create a golem, and I will combine these remaining spikes with my pickaxe for some armaments." "I think, given yours and my magic, we can utilize your false life as it is meant to be in alchemy, a representation, rather than a replacement." She theorizes, gathering up the glowing green glass-like spines.
  5. "Oh that would simply be divine, my last batch of golems ended up hiding in the bowels of my ship, digging reinforced tunnels and worshiping me, and stealing my things. It was very creepy, if flattering." "Perhaps you could cultivate a large soul mass in a random fashion, and simply keep it sustained once you achieve something suitable for reproduction?" Dackly says, pondering to herself. "I am unfortunately not funded by any one source, so the idea of being able to replicate my results without that same random aspect you debase is beyond my capabilities." "Alchemy is the closest I've come, considering it's deep roots in cognition, I can replicate results through proxy and substitution with great success."
  6. Dackly nods, giving him her permission. "If it would help, I can soften substances with some Tender love and care." "As for a livelier servant, I've found that the simplest method is to not be very good at it, or give it a soul. Those things are so damn lively, great source of infinite power, Terrible source of obedience and predictability."
  7. "My word! It sounds like I stand before a master, she sure is quiet, a personality trait, I assume? My own exploits in golemancy have resulted in annoyingly independent and lively creations, So I am impressed with her demeanor." She comments, looking up and down Lambda's Form. "Let's do a joint project, It will be quick." Dackly says, Whipping out her giant club. "This club has been an absolute eyesore to my aesthetic, and honestly, I don't believe it is that useful. So, I believe it is better off as parts. Disassemble it for me, and then power this crackpot with whatever you choose. We can discuss the details as we work, Doctor."
  8. "Ahh, I can see from your Golem Friend, that you are rather skilled in your art. I'm very interested in seeing how our talents mesh. I have no particular specialty, but I have been many places, and learned many little tricks and tidbits." She says with a bow.
  9. "I'm still listening." Dackly says, wandering off with the attention span of a styrofoam cup. She promptly makes her way to walmond. "Well howdy ho! I believe Gozer has met you already? I'm Dackly."
  10. "I'd take a damn cactus spliced into me if it made it so I didn't need Air-conditioner life support during the hot months." Dackly jokes, comically fanning her face. "I'm curious too, any world with super-weed is naturally in my preview of interest." "I'm kidding, but go on, doc."
  11. "Ugh, I imagine it is a lot more fun working with plants than it is being one. Dehydration is a lot worse than it used to be, and paying the water bill is a real pain. Heat intolerance, It just never stops. Hell, I'm pretty sure this place is temperate and I could do with it being cooler." She whines, the tip of her tail flicking. "Previously, Dackly was not made of plant matter, a series of magical mishaps with Ice Fire and Alchemically reduced plant matter resulted in the form she now possesses."
  12. "A Camera? Perfect! My powers proliferate through images of myself, so you should be able to capture some of my hatred with a video recording or picture, just don't look directly at it!~" She says, removing her mask and smashing it. "I'm pretty well under control now, can you print pictures off there, or what? Otherwise, You would have to actually show someone the image to infect them with my petrification." Dackly says to Edmond, before turning to Isobel. "You know, Me and Gozer have been to a ton of different worlds, if you really want some tricks to help out, Both of us would be happy to find a font of power you could unlock from within, and all that jazz." Dackly says, making Jazz hands. Gozer just nods.
  13. Chapter Zero: Pilot Location: Millwaif Seattle Time: 6:30 AM The city, and in part, it's inhabitants, begin to stir, It's a sleepy day today, but somebody has to experience it. Cars whir and rumble their way down busy streets, and the occasional bicycle moves alongside them, a masked figure paints graffiti on the Quiki-Sippi Gas Station, and is gone moments later. Stores are beginning to open, and some stores already have. An old man makes his way slowly to the door of the Hardware store, unlocking it for business, while next door, a thin bearded fellow opens the door to the Game Center. Our Heroes begin to wake as well, beginning their daily routines before they make their way into the world today, if that is their prerogative. Some have places to be, others are looking for those places. It seems that they are not yet aware of the adventure soon to come. Later on, they will remember this day as the last ordinary one they ever had. Some of them might even remember this day as the last boring one. One thing is for certain though. They've got something that needs doing today. [Players should detail 5 Actions they take today, based on what their daily schedule might look like, Days will be split into 5 Sections, and Nights will be split into 4, This information will be added to the Original Post in the OOC. 14. "Well, I feel that is a leading que-" Gozer interrupts. "She exclaimed angrily that everyone around her was plotting to kill her simply because she was smoking, made various rude remarks, and did so with a great deal of passive aggression. She then threw a tantrum for a few hours until it lost it's effects." "I had to personally manipulate the smoke from it, and pump it out the castle walls, due to Navin believing it to be a biohazard." "Dackly, It would be best to find another way. Isobel is correct in that pursuing our mark risks the lives of others." "Oh Nyx Damn it, I really wanted that statue. It was too smug for anything other than the most painful possible retribution, I already had a name too, "Thief in abject fear, in D-Minor"..." "I can't allow any people to be killed if I can help it. I guess I have no choice, with those stakes." "I wonder if anyone has a camera." Dackly seems to have conceded the point.
  15. "My skills are exponentially more powerful against enemies whose abilities I am aware of. I would be at far more risk against some unknown foe, and infinitely less effective. Your argument seems to be based on underestimating my abilities." "My methods may be bizarre, but my results are conclusive, my Petrification was able to slow it's advance greatly, it's approach was slowed by several seconds by a single petrification, from what I saw. And considering I have to look at something to petrify it, I believe my sight of the matter is not in question here. My immunization was overlooked by Gozer here, and I avoided any real repercussions, even when everyone looked at me funny just for trying to better myself." "If I had a method of storing light or images, I could certainly do without, considering my abilities rely on a combination of doped light and memetic images of my face, but without those methods at my disposal, I am forced to be there personally to preserve the vast power that dragon could offer our efforts, and to take my sweet, sweet, revenge." "As you might know just from the ideas my skillset offers, I would be far more useful making a single blow against key targets than attempting combat against an unknown." Dackly says, her arms still firmly crossed.
  16. "Why do I need to participate in combat beyond my stated goals? More importantly, I took the liberty of Immunizing myself to her mist, by smoking a fat rock of it I obtained previously. Your assessment makes several assumptions which simply do not hold validity, LOTUS-sempai, even without my immunization. The mist's only advantage was us being surprised and her not being surprised, Now that we are aware of it, I can simply leave and secure our escape as soon as I have tagged both the Statue and My Dragon with Petrification, which persists long after I have left." "Lastly, my skills have already proven effective at disposing of both her minions and her mist. Either we are fighting her in an open area, enabling myself and Gozer to simply leave, or we are fighting in an enclosed area, which allows me to turn her own mist against her in the form of defensive walls." "It's sound. And any advantage we can obtain should be leveraged to the fullest." Dackly says, as Gozer stands next to her, not moving.
  17. "Uh, That's going to be a problem LOTUS-senpai, I want my statue, and I want to see the hope die from it's eyes. you know how it is, Petty and deep Vengeance and all that." "I don't have any way of sending that party a care package for petrification, so I kinda have to go with them to blast that whore straight into the most classic of fates worse than death." Dackly says, crossing her arms. Gozer looks nervous, well, he would if he were, anyway.
  18. "I do not. But, as I have mentioned, I have caked the entrances with Magic absorbing and deflecting substances, to prevent any undue spellwork towards those doors, and we have, as you yourself know, completed our heavy duty weaponry. All we can do is wait and watch. There appears to be a barrier around this place, preventing us leaving as well." Mar dictates simply. "Be prepared as though to fight for your life. I have a sick and sinister feeling."
  19. Dackly slithers up to LOTUS and Isobel? "Hey, are you two one of the ones with some authority? I've got this crate of potions I made out of Officer's Armor. I'm pretty sure it will make whoever drinks one look like one of the enemy officers. If you think you can distribute them when it gets time, I'll leave these in your capable hands and antennae." She says, hefting the small crate of potions, and setting it down.
