      Why not just use that then? I've heard you can use flash drives for data on the Xbox, and SD cards for Wii. Why not do something like that?

      Which would be perfect if it would let me pass from the Wii U to the pen drive which it isn't letting me. That would also not let me use my gamecube connector.

      I also have 8GB Wii U and a 500GB external HDD behind it, where everything is stored/installed on... except the pre-installed WindWakeer HD

      and external HDDs aren't that expensive (just make sure it has it's own power-supply and doesn't rely on the WiiU for power - I had only problems with that)
