  1. 6 Meowth because Pay Day, all day, every day. (50 years later) And that, kiddos, is how your grandpa became insanely rich.
  2. Kanto Fav: Agatha. There's something awesome about this old granny being one of the most powerful trainers in the region. Least fav: Lorelei. Can barely remember fighting her. Johto Fav: Karen. She's cool, not much else to say. Least fav: Will. How did he even get his position? Hoenn Fav: Drake. He's a badass and has a nice design. Least fav: Glacia. I had to look up her name. Nuff said. Sinnoh Fav: Flint. He forgot to be stupid by actually using mons of varied types AND using Sunny Day to his advantage. Least fav: Aaron. See Will. Unova Fav: Grimsley. Reminds me of Setzer from FF6 with his gambler theme. Least fav: Marshal. Again, nothing memorable. Kalos: didn't play the games.
  3. Ofc Torchic gets honorable mention due to how godlike Speed Boost Blaziken is in this game. But I always seem to go back to Snivy, the green little snek. Snek is love, snek is life.
  4. If somebody could confirm, I'd be very interested in knowing wether Beldum is gonna fall to the almighty axe or not. Tbh I'm not very fond of all the "good" mons being pushed back to the very late game. It would be a bit weird to suddenly get access to all the pseudos, all the legendaries, all the Uber mons in E19 imo. Not to mention Mega Evo.
  5. This has to be one of the most American polls ever. As for myself, my favorite type of cereal is Salvador Dali, cuz the guy's paintings were... SURREAL *badum tss*
  6. It isn't. Besides we are not going to have access to Mega Evolution anytime soon apparently.
  7. Yeah I meant he was going to be able to catch lvl 40ish NoiBAT much later on, thus capturing a low lvl Noibat early on being rather pointless. Sorry, I keep mixing up these two.
  8. Well, a win is a win. Good job and good luck for your future battles.
  9. Pssst. Magneton. Dude benefits a LOT from Shade's field and can easily wipe out Gengar, Doublade and Trevenant if used right.
  10. Oh, last thing that might help you against Julia! The Kricketot you get from a lady in one of Peridot buildings is an early game beast! It learns Fury Cutter at level 10, so if you manage to set up you can OHKO or 2HKO anything on Julia's team with it.
  11. Oh no, why does nobody liek teh Gulpin... I'd say go for Ekans then. Anything will do better than Butts or Bidoof for that gym really. Besides, Ekans can easily solo a certain boss you'll encounter not long after. Also, the game is still pretty generous at this point since the default level cap allows you to outlevel Julia's mons by up to 5 levels. Just grind a little bit and it should be much easier. You won't be able to do that for other leaders tho.
  12. Obsidia Ward is the very next area you'll go to after beating Julia, so yep, it's coming soon enough! (should have told you right away, dunno why I assumed you would know where it is right off the bat) Well, you didn't pick one of the easiest starters to begin with, but we'll find a way to make it work! Braixen and Blitzle are the best mons on your team right now imo, but Butterfree is only going to drag your team down I'm afraid. If you still have a Pokésnax, check the trash containers in southern Peridot. A Gulpin will jump out one of them. Catch it and replace Butts with it, it has a decent amount of HP and hits fairly hard with Sludge.
  13. I think both of them show up only after beating Julia (imagine how OP a Numel would be for the first gym). You'll get access to a beauty Salon as early as Obsidia Ward. You'll get lvl 40ish Noivern much later on. Electrode can be a pain indeed. Priority moves or moves that do a fixed amount of damage are most effective against it, but these are very scarce early on. Care to tell us what mons you use so we can help you better?
  14. Welcome buddy. It's funny to see how common it is for people to be very fond of Pokémon games as teens, then give up on it for a while only to be hooked again with Reborn. More or less happened to me as well!
  15. This. However, we do have access to a pseudo as of E15. Granted, it's not a dragon, but imo that means we can't completely write off the possibility of getting another pseudo before late game. Although I don't feel 16 is gonna be the episode for pseudos just yet. My money is on Goodra for E17. A pure Dragon type, hooray!
  16. University, studying social responsibility and durable economy since september. Previously social sciences. Applying to college at 16? That's rather young, or maybe your country's education system just works that way...?
  17. NYEEEH HEEEH HEEEH HEH HEH NYEEEH HEEEH HEH I SAID NYEH WHAT'S BONING ON
  18. 1am uh? When I was bored and couldn't sleep, I used to hastily put on some clothes, jump outside my room's window and walk aimlessly for a few minutes before going back to bed. Helps that I live on the countryside, otherwise I wouldn't have done that!
  19. Jasper is the best place to get Pidgey. It has a pretty high spawn rate there. Shouldn't take long at all. Beldum is, I think, the only non-legendary mon that has the same catch rate as a legendary, so it IS supposed to be very hard to catch. It's definitely worth the effort tho, earliest pseudo available in the game, nice typing and of course awesome stats later on... Not to mention it evolves into freakin' Metagross, one of the most badass mons ever!
  20. tfw when you are allergic to dogs, and have to keep your sister's dog for a few days. So you expect to get sick because of dog hair, and indeed you get sick but not because of the dog. Simply because you caught a cold. Then the allergy kicks in.
  21. Soulcalibur 2 is an absolute must if you like seeing scantily clad characters go all out with weirdly shaped swords ! Oh and it's a really nice game to settle arguments between friends, like who's gonna pay for that extra pizza you ordered.

    Mining

Lugruf's answer is very complete, so there's not much left to say, but i'd add 2 things: Always quicksave before mining any rock, so you can softreset if you really screwed up and made the wall collapse before you got anything valuable. Also, if a rock gave you only shards, which are really easy to come by, just reload to get better stuff. It's a bit tedious to mine the same rock several times but well worth it in the long run. Go reeeaaal easy with the hammer. The pickaxe should be your default mining tool. Hammer is very situational imo.
  23. Dunno where you are in the game, but Magnezone is ridiculously helpful against several gym leaders, so like everybody else said, you should definitely get one. If you don't like 'zone Ampharos and Eelektross are probably your best bets. The latter hits hard and has virtually no weakness, it's hard to top that. Edit: just realized you said that change was already taken care of. Sorry about that. For the other 3, Flygon and Crobat are both excellent so you might want to keep them. Not so sure about Arcanine, he is gonna have a hard time against upcoming leaders (Saphira, Hardy, Amaria) so it's probably going to be next to get replaced. Your current team lacks a Fighting type. Maybe you should look into that.
  24. Hi jnsvda! Nice time to join the community I guess, with E16 just around the corner. I totally feel you for the "not being familiar with latest mons" thing. I basically discovered gen 6 with Reborn, even though I spent loads of time playing the gen 1-4 games as a kid. Gen 6 is still not my fav, but I'm glad I could catch up before gen 7 arrives!
