Hiya everyone! hope you're all well, so since the last update we have had.. another 100+ responses and now over 450+ different Shinies submitted to the project! so.. holy shit this has kicked off and once again thank you all for contributing so far! So lets get down to a few changes.. 1) So I've had a discussion with a few people talking about the lack of interactivity with this project, which I understand but in our perspective considering we are busy with everyday life (mainly Caz with the hospital) and working on Desolation, actively dming people about their Shinies is somethhing that's very time consuming. Therefore as a compromise, if you would like feedback on the Shinies you have submitted and whether or not they have been accepted, feel free to throw me a message either here on the forums or on Discord! I hang around in the Reborn Discord but if you need to add me its Posty#0325. I'm more than happy to discuss what we thought about your Shiny submission and maybe something good can come out of it! Please note with a bunch of Shinies being submitted, I may have forgotten which Shinies are yours and cycling through 180+ responses is a nightmare lol, so if you do dm me for feedback, please let me know which Shinies are yours and we can discuss! **NOTE** PLEASE DO NOT DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION PUBLICLY WHETHER OR NOT YOUR SHINIES GOT ACCEPTED, BETWEEN FRIENDS IS OKAY BUT OTHERWISE WE WANNA MAKE IT A SURPRISE FOR WHEN WE DROP THE PACK! 2) Just to rephrase from what I previously said, incase people aren't aware, we may make slight edits to your Shiny if we like it but one small detail is putting us off, for example changing the eye colour or the face colour, etc, you will still be fully credited! if you want to know why we changed something, feel free to dm me. 3) Document has been updated, there are still a few Shinies we are unsure of which may get added later on. No they are not! nothing in the game will be shiny locked aha So siding with Shiv or not has no impact on the battle sim, we selected a bunch of trainers to go in there, this episode we added 2 new trainers to the sim but yeah, we can add more for ep6 if people want that but the selection there is the only selection for now! There have been a bunch of awesome Shinies that have come through but I can't spoil my favourite (since its in the game) however have this abomination instead

Secondly if you're talking about getting Lycanroc Dusk, you don't need the ability, you just need to evolve it at a specific time (5pm - 6pm)

Can a friend not be worried about another friend? heck if my friend was consistently passing out, sleeping for long periods of time and apparently is talking to a gHOSt, I would also act like how Ava does and be concerned. There will be no romance option in the game, yes maybe Caz mentioned it when there will be like 5 years ago when he was a young boi. The reputation system is purely there to map out your own story in the game, will you be more friendly towards Ava or Scarlett? Do you care about Amelia at all? This doesn't have to "imply" oh the character is being set up with another character so please. Head Canon if you want thats fine lol just leave it at that. Well considering the current custom shinies are from Reborn, mines Typhlosion lol. I've noticed someone has been playing Desolation on a mobile, so it is possible, but for now we have no idea aha, you gotta ask around about that one. Well Ame and Jan both have Patreons so... I mean if you put it into perspective, Caz is telling a story which is the main kicker of the game, the Pokemon part comes second aha, its a risk for all creators, having a Patreon doesn't change it being a risk also go pledge for some exclusive desolation content from Caz and the other devs Purely and simply just didn't fit that well in the scene, there are other references throughout the game to Reborn/Rejuvenation also to community members.

In this case it would depend, like for example someone could just make an Alolan Marowak because it uses different colours etc from normal Cubone, whereas if you were to do Alolan Exeggutor, it would be best to do the shiny sprite for Exeggcute as well

Update! Firstly we have had about 80+ responses already and over 200+ Shinies submitted in the past 2 days which is incredible, thanks to everyone who has taken time to create and submit Shinies! even if yours didn't get in, we respect the time it took into producing these Shinies and appreciate it! Secondly, we had a few legends submitted and (i'll update this in the main post) if two Legendaries for example Solgaleo and Lunala are meant to be "grouped together" (Shiny Wise mainly), for continuity it would be great if the person who makes one of these Shinies could make the other pair! Thirdly the document has been updated! we will not be disclosing whose Shinies got in, you will have to find out when we decide to drop the Shiny Update :] this will be either a sprite pack or a part of Episode 6 Also I'll make this clear as well, if you see a Shiny which has been accepted and still want to make a Shiny for it, feel free! we can re-evaluate and decide which one we want in the game, however please note we will be prioritising the Shinies which haven't received any sprites yet! ONE MORE NOTE! If you wanna make a Vivillion Form for the game, go for it! Just make sure you make a normal Form and a Shiny version for the Form!! OMG FINE, this is like POST EP5.2020 CONTENT so you essentially somehow and somewhere with the power of friendship find the legendary orb of earfquek deep within the lair of the cellia sewers, why is it down there? idfk ask the devs lol xd so after you get this orb you hit it a bunch of times with a baseball bat which you find on the surface in a specific location in Cellia (huehue not saying where hAHA) and after you do this HUGE thunderclouds come down like BOOM and landorus (oh you thought it would be thundurus? guess you're mistaken) comes down and is like "the fuck is this" and spams earfquek tearing Cellia in two so then you put your bRaVe face on and be like "OI... stop this nonsense" and landorus gets reaallllllyyyy angry at you and fights you like 10 times before he is like, pfft fine you can have a catch at catching me..., SIKE then battles you another 10 times after then he is tired and you are like poof pokeball go and its caught, the end, gg, you have a landorus congratz.

Hey y'all! We have a big ole announcement! Introducing... The Pokemon Desolation Community Shiny Project! Yes that's right you heard it here, we at the Desolation Dev Team want to customise every single Shiny Pokemon in the game, but we are busy at work fixing bugs and looking to begin development soon for Episode 6 So this is where you come in! We are opening the floor to the community to essentially create Shinies for every single Pokemon in the game! (including Gen 8! use the >> Gen 8 Sprite Pack << *NOTE* we are not adding Gigantamax Forms) So... how do you even get round to submitting your Shinies? LET ME TELL YOU! Below are two very important links! One is to the Shiny Project document and the other is to the Google Form where you can Submit your Shiny Sprites, let me go into detail about these links. First is the Shiny Project document which is linked >>>>> HERE <<<<< This is essentially a Checklist to keep track of what Pokemon have received a brand spanking new Shiny! Use this to check to see if a Shiny you want to submit has already been submitted The document is split into Generations (Ordered by National Dex) with Regional Variants, Megas, Silvally Forms (please submit cool Silvally forms like in Reborn/Rejuvenation) and Arceus Forms (they dont have to be wild, but yeah go nuts if you want lol) having separate tabs. When a Shiny has been approved by us, the development team, I will be updating the document, so make sure you keep an eye out! Second is the Google Form which will be used to SUBMIT YOUR SHINIES which is linked >>>>> HERE <<<<< Answer the questions on the Form in order to submit your Shinies You can submit as many Shinies as you want! but the Form is limited to 10 uploads per response so take that in mind. **NOTE** When submitting Shinies, We would like the entire Evolution Line to be submitted along with Backsprites and Gender Differences. This is because if for example, One person creates a Litten Shiny and someone else creates a Torracat Shiny, they may look completely different and continuity is lost. We will not be accepting single Shinies if they are apart of an Evolution Line, If more than one person has worked on a set of Shinies, please submit this as one Response and link all names who contributed. The Project is being completed in Generations. Starting from Generation 1, we will NOT be accepting Shinies from later Generations until the previous Generations have been completed. For example if we are currently accepting Shinies from Generation 2, we will NOT accept a Shinies submitted from Generation 4 UNTIL we reach that stage. If a Pokemon has an Evolution in another Generation, please do still create Shinies for them and submit, they will be reviewed and accepted regardless for continuity sake (if we accept them) PLEASE SUBMIT PNG FILES Current Generation - Generation 8 **ALSO** If you plan on submitting a Mega Evolution, we would prefer if you submitted Shinies for the whole line, for example if you wanted to submit a Shiny Mega Beedrill, we would prefer it if you submitted Shinies for the whole Weedle Line! (I know this may mean making a second Response, but just make sure you have the same name so we know it's your Shinies!) Arceus Forms can be different however we would prefer if they were all similar (like the base, use Reborn's as an Example) with a few differences, so if one person is up for the task go for it! Remember we will be having the Final Say, we appreciate everyone who has taken the time to create Shinies and submit them however if we ain't feeling them, they will not be included in the game. This also means that we may adjust a Shiny slightly if we really want it however one aspect is putting us off (for example, Eye Colour, few Pixels etc) If two Legendaries for example Solgaleo and Lunala are meant to be "grouped together" (Shiny Wise mainly), for continuity purposes we would prefer it if the person who creates one of these Shinies would create the other pair! When you submit a Shiny, please try to label it properly. What I mean by this is that, when the game checks for a Shiny Sprite, it'll look for the Pokemon Number with the letter "s" at the end, for example Charmander's Shiny is labelled "004s" and "004sb", if theres a female version for example with Venusaur, then it should be labelled "003fs" and "003fsb". This will save me a lot of time when filtering through the Shinies and putting them into a folder for the Shiny Pack! One last thing... PLEASE USE THE BASE SPRITES IN THE DESOLATION FOLDER FOR WHEN YOU MAKE SHINIES. **WE WILL ALSO NOT BE ACCEPTING** - Half Pixels (Please check your Shinies before you submit, if we notice several Half Pixels, we will not approve of your Shiny, we will have the final say!) - Blatant Video Game/Series References (We do not mind a slight reference to a series, however if its extremely obvious we will not be approving, Shinies relating to other Pokemon Fangames are fine, just don't go over the top with them) - Over-saturated/Too Bright (If it hurts our eyes to look at, we won't accept it) That's about it, we can't wait to see what you all come up with and submit! From Desolation inspired Shinies to a custom palette! From the Desolation Dev Team we once again want to say a major Thank You for all the support everyone has given us with the release of Episode 5, its been a wild ride and we can't wait to bring more to you soon! *One More Thing* I will be updating the document every Sunday so check around 12pm BST on this day to see what has changed on the checklist! We will not personally be making one due to focusing our efforts on other aspects of the game so if you want to make one like Reborn's or Rejuvenation's then go for it! I do not mind at all pinning it for easy access for everyone! If you find a Pokemon that hasn't been listed on this list then please let me know, this took a good while to make and I made consistent edits due to changing Pokemon around, so its likely I've missed some.

Hiya so I realised the problem, for some reason it was asking for "1500 or more" instead of the set price of 800, this will be updated in the next patch but for now here, just download this map and replace it with the "existing map" in your Data Folder.Map108.rxdata

I'll answer this, I decided last minute to axe the Scyther Egg from the Den, you can no longer get Scyther (til a later ep ofc). Reasons for this is that 1) It was too strong against Rosetta primarily and other battles in ep5, and 2) Hardy might have a Scizor but I thought it didn't make that much sense for him to be carrying a Scyther Egg around, so now he drops something else! Don't worry Scyther will be back but for now he is dead. I killed him.

I've mentioned this before but we don't have a public Desolation Discord, we do however hang around in the Reborn Discord! (we have a Desolation channel there also). There is also a private Desolation Discord which is only available for our Patreons (well Caz's I'm just saying ours because we work on the game lol), if anyone wants to know if theres a way to support Caz more, his Patreon link is located in the Desolation ep5 Thread!
