omg another late update, posty you should be fired. Nothing new, doc has been updated! any submissions over the past 12 hrs haven't been counted yet! Also we have hit the sweet number of 420+ submissions and it still blows my mind how many Shines we have had sent it, once again even if your Shiny wasn't submitted, thank you for contributing! we appreciate you all.

Okay let me explain in more depth about what I mean, take this Murkrow for example from Reborn, and compare it to the normal Shiny for Murkrow from the main series games, (omg its smol) As you can see, compared to what the basic shiny is, the Reborn Shiny has a unique design, with the ring of the hat having a different colour, and theres an extra bit added on. If you were to re-colour this "custom design" for Murkrow, then it will be rejected, this is because you have not put any thought into the design, you just re-coloured an existing one from Reborn. If you are going to create a "custom design" for a Shiny, then it has to be your own "custom design", not an existing Shiny design from Reborn/Rejuvenation which you just re-coloured. If you just take the basic sprite for Murkrow and then colour it to make a Shiny, thats completely fine! thats essentially what we are after, the point of the post is that, if you want to be "extra" and put more "effort" into the Shiny with a "custom design", you can do, but we will not be accepting anything that is a straight up copy of an existing design in Reborn or Rejuvenation (or any other fangame frankly).

Somewhat of a bigger Update We have now had over 360+ Responses which is crazy considering the project has been going on for about 2 weeks... I didn't think it'll get this much attention lol, once again thank you all! The document has been updated as of this post but note! submissions over the past 48hrs have not been gone through yet, since the squad haven't been around to go through them (also Ruby and I have started playing FFXIV so yeah whoops), now for some bigger updates 1) Please do not re-colour Reborn/Rejuvenation Shiny Designs and submit them as a Shiny for Desolation. I have noticed a good bunch of Shinies submitted which are just re-colours from Reborn/Rejuvenation which is just uncreative and straight up copying, we absolutely love the custom patterns/designs people have made for the Shinies submitted however if you just re-colour a design, it'll be rejected immediately, you don't even need to steal a design! some Shinies just work with a different palette! 2) Please for my own sake, name your files appropriately. I should have made this clear in the main post (will be updated after this) but please when you submit a Shiny, label it properly. What I mean by this is that, when the game checks for a Shiny Sprite, it looks for the Pokemon Number with the letter "s" at the end, for example Charmander's Shiny is labelled "004s" and "004sb", if theres a female version for example with Venusaur, then it should be labelled "003fs" and "003fsb". This ain't a major problem if you haven't been doing this, but it just saves me so much time, I'm going to have to personally edit all the names anyways (due to the google form) but it saves me time having to look up a dex number and renaming like for example "Squirtle_on_crack". 3) UPLOAD YOUR SHINIES AS SEPARATE PNGS!!! please.. don't upload all your Shinies as one PNG, the only exception is Unown, you can upload that as one PNG then if we like it we'll be in contact (we already accepted one anyways but yeah just saying), if you submit your line on a single PNG, its being rejected, you can submit multiple google forms! 4) Finally could the following people throw me a dm when you get the chance! I'll do what I think is necessary tbh. All important boss battles in this episode and a few in the last episode have got EVs (you can check via the PBS) on top of that, I was aiming for Reborn/Rejuvenation Difficulty.

did you use Scizor by any chance, because if you did its been axed So I will just say, the balance was done by me and I know that some things need to be improved on, for example Garret will be receiving a buff in the next ep! When doing the balance I mainly thought about the casual players over the people who are going to breed, who are going to EV, who are going to do wild ass sets to set up Pokemon in a battle. If you wanna win a battle by setting up with the now axed Scizor and then sweeping, more power to ya! The game is more story based anyways, so I wanted to make the game "difficult" but not "frustrating annoying that you have to re-do several times due to RNG". I will be looking over the balance again anyways due to the introduction of Generation 8 but yeah I'm glad people enjoyed the long awaited update regardless!

Update! Nothing major! Document has been updated (might have missed a few idk) and we have had over 600+ Shinies submitted, 240+ Responses, the support on this project is incredible and we are slowly but surely filling up the dex! cheers for all the work guys and keep them coming!

Honestly, it has to be the Black Foxes, their overall aesthetic is gorgeous (Ruby fucking nailed it) and also Amelia is there so why wouldn't I want to be on the team with that gorl

Eevee doesn't have a gender dif.. oh wait it does. To answer this we haven't got the gender difference sprite in the folder since its apart of the Generation 4 sprites however, if someone was to make one then with a Shiny version, we'll for sure accept that! Also in regard to the Eeveelutions.. nah, you could make a Leafeon or Flareon and submit and that'll be fine, the Eeveelutions are different colours anyways so you don't need to make a Shiny for all of them.. unless you want to then feel free

Hiya everyone! hope you're all well, so since the last update we have had.. another 100+ responses and now over 450+ different Shinies submitted to the project! so.. holy shit this has kicked off and once again thank you all for contributing so far! So lets get down to a few changes.. 1) So I've had a discussion with a few people talking about the lack of interactivity with this project, which I understand but in our perspective considering we are busy with everyday life (mainly Caz with the hospital) and working on Desolation, actively dming people about their Shinies is somethhing that's very time consuming. Therefore as a compromise, if you would like feedback on the Shinies you have submitted and whether or not they have been accepted, feel free to throw me a message either here on the forums or on Discord! I hang around in the Reborn Discord but if you need to add me its Posty#0325. I'm more than happy to discuss what we thought about your Shiny submission and maybe something good can come out of it! No they are not! nothing in the game will be shiny locked aha So siding with Shiv or not has no impact on the battle sim, we selected a bunch of trainers to go in there, this episode we added 2 new trainers to the sim but yeah, we can add more for ep6 if people want that but the selection there is the only selection for now! There have been a bunch of awesome Shinies that have come through but I can't spoil my favourite (since its in the game) however have this abomination instead

Secondly if you're talking about getting Lycanroc Dusk, you don't need the ability, you just need to evolve it at a specific time (5pm - 6pm)

Can a friend not be worried about another friend? heck if my friend was consistently passing out, sleeping for long periods of time and apparently is talking to a gHOSt, I would also act like how Ava does and be concerned. There will be no romance option in the game, yes maybe Caz mentioned it when there will be like 5 years ago when he was a young boi. The reputation system is purely there to map out your own story in the game, will you be more friendly towards Ava or Scarlett? Do you care about Amelia at all? This doesn't have to "imply" oh the character is being set up with another character so please. Head Canon if you want thats fine lol just leave it at that. Well considering the current custom shinies are from Reborn, mines Typhlosion lol. I've noticed someone has been playing Desolation on a mobile, so it is possible, but for now we have no idea aha, you gotta ask around about that one. Well Ame and Jan both have Patreons so... I mean if you put it into perspective, Caz is telling a story which is the main kicker of the game, the Pokemon part comes second aha, its a risk for all creators, having a Patreon doesn't change it being a risk also go pledge for some exclusive desolation content from Caz and the other devs Purely and simply just didn't fit that well in the scene, there are other references throughout the game to Reborn/Rejuvenation also to community members.

In this case it would depend, like for example someone could just make an Alolan Marowak because it uses different colours etc from normal Cubone, whereas if you were to do Alolan Exeggutor, it would be best to do the shiny sprite for Exeggcute as well

Update! Firstly we have had about 80+ responses already and over 200+ Shinies submitted in the past 2 days which is incredible, thanks to everyone who has taken time to create and submit Shinies! even if yours didn't get in, we respect the time it took into producing these Shinies and appreciate it! Secondly, we had a few legends submitted and (i'll update this in the main post) if two Legendaries for example Solgaleo and Lunala are meant to be "grouped together" (Shiny Wise mainly), for continuity it would be great if the person who makes one of these Shinies could make the other pair! Thirdly the document has been updated! we will not be disclosing whose Shinies got in, you will have to find out when we decide to drop the Shiny Update :] this will be either a sprite pack or a part of Episode 6 Also I'll make this clear as well, if you see a Shiny which has been accepted and still want to make a Shiny for it, feel free! we can re-evaluate and decide which one we want in the game, however please note we will be prioritising the Shinies which haven't received any sprites yet! ONE MORE NOTE! If you wanna make a Vivillion Form for the game, go for it! Just make sure you make a normal Form and a Shiny version for the Form!! OMG FINE, this is like POST EP5.2020 CONTENT so you essentially somehow and somewhere with the power of friendship find the legendary orb of earfquek deep within the lair of the cellia sewers, why is it down there? idfk ask the devs lol xd so after you get this orb you hit it a bunch of times with a baseball bat which you find on the surface in a specific location in Cellia (huehue not saying where hAHA) and after you do this HUGE thunderclouds come down like BOOM and landorus (oh you thought it would be thundurus? guess you're mistaken) comes down and is like "the fuck is this" and spams earfquek tearing Cellia in two so then you put your bRaVe face on and be like "OI... stop this nonsense" and landorus gets reaallllllyyyy angry at you and fights you like 10 times before he is like, pfft fine you can have a catch at catching me..., SIKE then battles you another 10 times after then he is tired and you are like poof pokeball go and its caught, the end, gg, you have a landorus congratz.
