    (Trying to keep this as spoiler free as possible.) Quick question on where to go next. I just got back to Gearean City via boat, and stared the event with reuniting the two friends, though the text skipped so I didn't see where I was supposed to go. What should I do in the way of events to make progress towards the sixth gym leader? Edit: Well, I figured it out, so I'm good.

    "Axed" is the term people use to describe Pokemon that were removed/moved from previous episodes, like Magikarp. As for gym advantages and disadvantages, Julia is a bad example for field typing since there isn't many ways to use her field to your advantage. Let's say you're in a gym that boosts grass type attacks. If you could somehow start a fire, fire type Pokemon would get a boost, while the grass type leader would be at an disadvantage. Basically, find out what gives the gym leader an advantage, and destroy it with the fury of a thousand suns.

    Field Effects are a gym leaders'd double edged blade, as they give them a large advantage, but can be used against them to land some devastating strikes. As said, it is common for Pokemon to get "axed" for being overly powerful at certain stages of the game. Creating a solid team is usually not enough, as many gym leader and bosses have counters, so get into the habit of having a team and a back up team. I consider myself to be a casual Pokemon player, but I was able to make my way through Reborn by playing smart and getting help form the community.

    That's good to hear. Since you managed to escape, I would recommend watching were you save for now on, as there are a few points of no return like areas.. With enough determination, I'm sure you'll be able to make it in the long run. Good luck!

    Oddly enough, I don't know if Rift Garvantula is still bug type. My Combusken I believe wasn't hitting super effective moves against it. I would recommend getting used to soft resetting in this game, as there are several event Pokemon that you will want to go for good natures. Since you saved it the rift, I don't have much advice for you, and can only hope you have something that can poison it.

    Quick question on Stacking Shots. When it says it become more powerful the more powerful the more it's used, does that mean in battle, or throughout the entire game?

      I think it works like a fighting-type fury cutter, getting stronger if you use it more times in a row.
