Check your settings. In battle style there will be an option between set and shift. Switch it to shift.

You only need to buy the kit if you want to have a completely unique one. If you don't have it you will increase in rank based on how many posts you have. I don't think cooltrainer is one of those though so you'll have to buy the kit.

Walrein does a lot of damage I've heard. I think there is also a way to get a Lapras which could be helpful.

If you do so be sure to back up your save data as reverting through episodes can corrupt data.

I also found the game to take around 80 hours but that included grinding up a lot of pokemon!

The idea sounds cool but I am personally against the technology becoming available. What is to say some person couldn't create a superhuman army with it and have a mass genocide or something along those lines. We get into dangerous territory when we start enhancing ourselves beyond our current species.
