If you ever get bored, you can always try Rejuvenation, or check out Reborn's Showdown server.     Are there certain conditions under which the field cannot be broken? I lead with a Camerupt and OHKO'd her Abomasnow turn 1 with Eruption and for a split second the field was gone but it just...came back.

    Actually to me it wasn't really a huge plot twist or anything. I forgot about the player's mom as soon as I started playing. The only time I remembered her was when they mentioned her in the game, and then I proceeded to swiftly forget her. There was no relationship built between her and the player so that had no impact, and there really isn't any "spoiling it" for me.
