Nintendo did NOT say that 3rd party characters are out of the picture. The characters I listed are not my top choices, they are the MOST LIKELY choices. These characters all have TONS of people backing them up and supporting them. The developers of Shantae and Shovel Knight have also been very vocal ever since the Ballot was announced. They even said "if Nintendo wanted to, we can do 90% of the work". If you asked me "what 3rd party character would I like to see in smash?" My actual first Pick is Simon Belmont from the Castlevania series. Edit: none of the fighter ballots on reddit are 100% accurate. I am going on based on what I have seen on things like smashboards and YouTube. The reddit poll I found says this; 1. King K Rool 2. Shovel Knight 3. Banjo and Kazooie 4. Snake 5. Isaac 6. Wolf 7.
