  1. He gets Bob DeNiro quite a bit, actually. Not sure if that's who you're trying to place. Thanks, by the way.
  2. Worst case scenario is he takes a couple weeks off. Honestly, fans of the game hound him frequently during his stream about the game. He's caught up in Smash but he's never been one to bend to a challenge. He always says he needs to read up on the field effects. Maybe he'll actually do that. It's too bad he staunchly refuses to grind, claiming it "takes too long"; I find I've always been adjusting my team around. I picked up Ralts when it was shuffled way to the back, long after my team had developed a good synergy. I replaced my Level 52 Donphan with a level 20 Drillbur because I lacked a Steel type. Just all depends on what kind of work you're willing to put into the game. I won't spoil anything other than the first Drought Ninetails was replaced with Darmanitan. So there's only one on her team now.
  3. I doubt it. Considering that the series was initially cancelled, resurrected by someone doing a playthrough of his game, and being gifted a Darmanitan by either the player or Amethyst herself. The series is very popular. He reacts by calling it "broken", but even he knows it's not broken. He'll eventually beat Charlotte once he gets the team situation figured out. The rant on the Samson fight is amazing. "WHY DOES THAT HAPPEN??". He would've gotten it had he read the rules, but you know.
  4. I'll be honest, I was astonished when he brought it back. A huge thanks to everyone that made that happen, considering I find him hilarious. His first attempt at Charlotte is up as of yesterday. The rage is real with this one.
  5. Me and my old man, off to a themed wedding.
  6. So how does one acquire this text code? What were the "deformities" you saw? Was this placed liscenced to sell alcohol? Was the food "out of this world", as in good, or "other-worldly", as in spaghetti mixed with strawberry jam? Does the circus tour? If not, how could any practical businessman keep the circus afloat? Were there other people attenting this with you and your friend? What was the main attraction? Are you able to enter and exit the carnival on a whim, or does the text code change ? Lots of unanswered ones here.
  7. Try taking out the "go to sleep" text. I mean, I might be the only one, but I find if you give an image context, it's easier to rationalize.
  8. Amaria. If all it took was reading a diary to shuffle her off her mortal coil, then I can only imagine how unstable their homelife must have been.
  9. Lin's unbridled power is paralelled by none, that much I can agree with. The only thing that I can say is that she's recognized. When you're in the Abra PULSE room, where you first meet Lin, Dr. Connoly is certain he's seen her somewhere before, though Lin dismisses the thought of them meeting before that very moment. This can mean a variety of things: Lin's being subjugated by some power-that-be, and her raw power as the Champion is seen as a means to an end. We've seen her Hydreigon, so we don't know if she has any particular typing for her team. This could also mean Lin was subject to Dr. Connoly's experiments prior to her mind being purged of weakness, and experiments that were performed on her were wiped from her memory. Since it was Saphira that saw Lin, and not Laura, this theory can only be supported whether or not the Elite Four (and the Champion) have a limited correspondence with Gym leaders, which is unlikely. It's no secret who the Elite Four are, but the Champion hasn't played any crucial role in the story to date. It's likely that Bennett was inducted into the Elite Four thanks to the help of Elias, yes.
  10. Crawdaunt, bar none. I needed both Water and Dark on my team for a few encounters in the game, so Crawdaunt seemed to be the one I'd choose. First one I caught, who's still part of my team, had both a Lonely nature and Adaptability. I had Adaptability Knock Off's and Crabhammers come through for me completely. Crawdaunt completely shit on Radomus' front porch. Honestly, I love it. It has since become an HM slave for the water moves unfortunately, but it'll get a 21 gun salute once it's retired. EDIT: Also, the Noivern I've trained from a Level 5 Noibat is starting to really break through for me; she was certainly the MVP against Charlotte. I didn't want to have to put Rain Dance on my team, so I opted to start off with Noivern and Excadrill: Two relatively quick pokemon, but I wanted to ensure I got Tailwind up so I could hopefully spam Earthquake. Low and behold, Tailwind nullifies the hot plate field.
  11. Truthfully, neither. If you're looking to make it more unsettling, try and take a more simplistic approach.
  12. I find it interesting that a Wiki for every game has now become the standard. Virtually every game out there, fanmade or AAA, has a medium to find out where you exactly need to go to get whatever it is you're looking for as quickly as possible without putting much effort in.
  13. 7th street is located in the Lapis Ward in Reborn City, after you've unlocked the ability to get there. If you're not far enough in the game, you won't be able to reach the NPC that changes the nature of your pokemon.
  14. You can expect that if this is to fail, it won't be long before some other variation of this is going to return. The SOPAs and the PIPAs are going to keep coming in full force in the name of benevolent intentions, but that isn't what these bills are for. There's always going to be a bill that's going to try and go through congress, and it's everyone's job to not only be aware of this, but to stand up and defend the internet as we know it. It'll be a battle of attrition, because they won't give up on this. The internet, by far, is the most remarkable invention human beings have invented. Ever. The ability to reach out and gather information at the tips of your fingers is far more valuable to you than most people realize. Censorship of the internet, in any capacity, is unnecessary and unfounded bottlenecking of information, and that should outrage you. There are a myriad of very powerful people that want to eviscerate the internet. Don't let them.
  15. A solid substitution is Crawdaunt. Adaptability coupled with Swords Dance canset up sweeps. It's Water/Dark typing provides great coverage as well, and it naturally learns Knock Off. The only issue being it's speed, though if you breed Aqua Jet onto it, it can wreak havoc on just about anybody after you set up.
  16. If the champion is going to follow the same formula as the rest of Reborn, I'd imagine the last fight is going to be an epic one. One of those fighting-over-an-active-volcano types. I don't think the champ-in-the-making guy would have a good mass appeal. There's been minimal, if any, mention of a champion in the Reborn region. Members of the Elite Four have an active role in the story thus far, but never a mention of a champion. Is it possible that the champion is shrouded in secrecy, even to the Elite Four?
  17. Truthfully, I didn't know that you'd be able to progress without defeating Arceus. I'm not sure if I got lucky with my encounter, but I ended up defeating him on my first try. *I began with Ampharos, who dodged Arceus' initial Focus Blast. * Used Thunder Wave on Arceus. Judgement downed Ampharos * Switched to Gengar and used Curse. Arceus is fully paralyzed. * Used Confuse Ray. Arceus hits itself in confusion. I essentially got lucky that I was able to set up a Thunder Wave/Curse on it. Switching over to Noivern and getting a couple flinches from Air Slash also helped me in my encounter. Cheap? Maybe. Annoying? Almost certainly. Do I feel any semblence of guilt? None. Arceus is banned to Ubers for a reason; got no time for scrubs using legendaries.
  18. Truthfully, it varies. As of right now, I'm re-reading the Icewind Dale trilogy, so I'd be pretty bias towards R.A. Salvatore right now. I love works from Stephen King (namely the Dark Tower saga), as well as George R.R. Martin, Chuck Palahniuk, and Dean Koontz. How about yourself? PS: Thanks for the welcome, everybody!
  19. I'm actually astonished Feraligatr is still in the NU tier and not RU. Torrent +2 Aqua Jets with the natural bulk Feraligatr sports makes it a viable threat.
  20. Hello everybody! I've just completed episode 14 of Pokemon: Reborn, and I must say, I was captivated. This is a fantastic game, and I look very forward to the next release. Like any other fan of something great looking towards the next addition of a series (looking at you, George), I feel that being on a forum of like-minded people is a great medium to tide myself over. So, with the sticky thread at the top of the page, it's recommended that I tell you guys a little bit about myself: * My name's Rick * I'm currently in the paramedic program in school * I'm Canadian * Frequent exercise, reading, and Pokemon are among my favored vices. That all being said, thanks for having me, and look forward to getting to know you guys better.
