A lot of things spelled backwards is backwards.

Everything, actually.

Except palindromes, ironically. Because a palindrome such as 'Girafarig' if spelled backwards, is nevertheless not actually spelled backwards.

Unless of course the word is literally spelled as 'backwards', in which case, yes. Although then the whole meaning of language is lost, if a word is spelled as another and yet expected to carry the same meaning.
