Death is not a bad thing. It is just boring as hell for the ones who die, and sad as hell for the ones who have to live while the ones they loved passed away.

    3. laggless01

      laggless01

Try to fathom the concept of not more existing. Not just being dead, but your entire world to be gone without incident.

Also, technically it isn't a bad thing a long as you have procreated, but that's just evolutionary biology...

I see why people get upset about it, sad about it and even go to extremes about it. When the thought of death, or me dying, crosses my mind I just feel nothing. All I can think about it "Oh well, they're dead."

  2. Although the first semester is over, my music teacher wants me to keep running the coffee houses that we have once a month.

  4. Those who come to the Abyss are all the same. They’re all desperate to get something back. But everyone goes mad part way. It seems being with the dear dollies is no good for them

  5. Welcome, Xeno. It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Eva. I hope you enjoy your stay.
  6. The depth of darkness to which you can descend and still live is an exact measure of the height to which you can aspire to reach.

      Shamitako

Yes, absolute values are a thing. But if you're aspiring to be in the depths of darkness, do you fall to the heights of aspiration?

    3. VoidStar

      VoidStar

If you can aspire for darkness and still have a mind afterwards, then it's all up to the person and what they see as the heights. Even while falling, you can still choose when you've had enough. Though of course, at either end of the the persons scale, they will either splatter on bedrock or pass away from lack of oxygen or freeze.

(My teacher hates it when I use metaphors.. I guess I can see why)

    4. Shamitako

      Shamitako

Eh, I like the metaphor, I just like pointing out its massive flaw better. Since I'm sure you like massive things --Okay, that was kinda random, but I had to--

  7. You have to listen to what the heart says. If you don't, the heart will attack you.

      Well, all spiders but SpiderDan

  11. ~insert everything I learned that relates to this here~ It does sound strange and ominous, but it really isn't all too much strange once you think into it and know that you are not in control of your conscious state of mind all the time. Of course what I'm saying is just hypothesis based off of what I learned in psychology (unit in social science) and my English's advertising unit courses. So it may or may not be correct at all xD It can seem like you're psychic and made this happen when you imagined it, but it's not. It could all just be chance~ I do hope that things get sorted out about a vehicle, and that your sister does well after that~
  12. Darkness is the best place to find what your mind is after.

  13. "The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness. We have multiplied out possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; we've added years to life, not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice. We have higher incomes, but lower morals; we've become long on quantity, but short on quality. These are the times of tall men, and short character; steep in profits, but shallow relationships. These are times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure and less fun; higher postage, but slower mail; more kinds of food, but less nutrition. These are days of two incomes, but more divorces; these are times of fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, cartridge living, throw-away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies and pills that do everything from cheer, to prevent, quiet or kill. It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stock room; a time when technology has brought this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to make a difference, or to just hit delete..." -Author Unknown So if you read this, and understand it, and aren't currently going on and on in your head with, "more this less that" right now, then thank you for reading it. I saw this a long time ago, and it came up today in one of my classes, so I thought I'd share it. It is your choice to agree or even take things out of this, so leave it at that. Have a good day everyone~
  14. Chaos does not mean total disorder. Chaos means a multiplicity of possibilities. Chaos is from the ancient Greek words that means a thing that is birthed from the void. And it was about that which is possible, not about disorder.

    1. Magus

      Magus

There is a whole spectrum of this, going from lawful good, to chaotic evil.

    2. Maelstrom

      Maelstrom

The expression of other possibilities is deviation. Deviation disrupts the existing order. The intent isn't disorder, but that is the effect- redefining boundaries.

  15. A path is something you create as you walk it. The ground you’ve trodden hardens, and that’s what forms your path. You’re the only one who can create your own path. Walk on your own. If you haven’t given up yet, that is.

  17. "Let me ask you the reverse. How is it that you can give up so easily? I can’t understand that…attitude! “It’s bad luck! I have no choice!” People who passively accept their fate…because no one knows their future, least of all me, so I don’t dare put things off. I have to do what I can, while I can still do it, so…I’ll be kicking and screaming, ’til the very end."

  18. I bring to you the battle music I have been using throughout the day..

  19. Everything happens for a reason. The daily tragedies and misfortunes are all meaningful events, leading toward an ideal conclusion. With that in mind, there probably isn’t really any meaningless misfortune.

    1. Maelstrom

      Maelstrom

The tragedy is that I can't read anything you post on the forums if I'm browsing it with my iphone. (AKA, your font makes me unhappy)

You are so very welcome, good sir.

  20. I guess not knowing someone doesn't mean you don't understand them.

  21. If we're talking about games in general and not just video games then I've played eight to nine different titles. If it was just video games then it would be one if battling on Showdown counts.
  22. Today I learned that giving a pokemon more than 9999999999999999999 IV's in teambuild will break the page
  23. It's a nice thought to believe in a "next time". But in reality, there wouldn't be a "next time"
