I was similar, except I started with 3, then went back to 1 & 2, and played 4 and 5 as they came out. Such a great series, I look forward to getting a Switch as an excuse to replay 5!

Online is down at the moment, although that usually doesn't cause an error like this. Either way, there shouldn't be anything wrong with your savefile, so you should be fine.

All non-legend and such pokemon WILL be available before the Elite Four, but I can't confirm whether or not that means some of them could still be locked away in E19 or not.
Hopefully AI updates will be finalized for E18, yes, but of course we'll have to see how well our updates fare through testing to see if any more work is needed for E19.

What do you mean by not being able to use it effectively? What's actually been going wrong with the move?

Are you in/have you recently been in the Subseven Sanctum? Silvally is always dark on the Holy Field, so if your last battle was there, it'll appear dark in your summary.

Assuming you have enough money, you can buy Revives, Ultra Potions etc. to your heart's content and win battles by using said items. Does that make Revives or Ultra Potions broken or overpowered too? Not in my opinion.
While this is true, X-Items are super cheap and as of Gen VII, are +2 boosts, which honestly make them really useful. I know a few people, myself included, that used them pretty extensively in E17. Before E17 it wasn't a big deal because they were only +1 stat boosts, but now that they are +2 they are indeed quite formidable.

Mirages will spawn indefinitely, it's fine. Just be sure to check the tower after every mirage in the desert, and maybe you'll find what you're looking for!

Ame's abroad for a while so, while there's still progress going on, not much updating the devblog at the moment. But we're still moving forward, don't worry, stay tuned! (And I just finished the semester so hopefully AI progress can start moving again!)

Further discussion has revealed this is the strnge canon mechanic of non-ghost Curse failing when there are no opposing pokemon on the field. That is to say, while odd, it is not a bug

While it says 'fixed', what that means in practice is that it's fixed in development. We tend not to put out patches for small bugfixes like this sort of thing, so it won't actually be fixed in the released version of the game until the next version. If you post your savefile in troubleshooting, I'm sure somebody would be willing to add roost to your Mantine.

This is the right place, thanks for the report. The bug bin is where we move stuff after we've dealt with them.
For number 3), are you playing with any mods/playing an outdated version? You are correct that you need the 2 in the item name in the PBS for Z-moves to work correctly, however a quick look at the PBS looks like these are all named correctly, and moreover Amaria's Kingdra doesn't have a Z-Crystal in any variant of the fight. If you're playing with any mods that potentially alter team lineups like this, do be sure to reach out to the mod creater and let them know about this so they can fix it.
The other three bugs you mentioned will be looked into, thanks.
