Terrin just smirked to himself, before looking over at Hoshiko and giving her a thumbs up, striking a pose to the sound of a clearly very angry wyvern rider.
-

Terrin curiously wandered up to the desert wall, making full use of his magical magical ability to levitate just enough to not be hindered by the desert, relatively fearless of the nearby enemy soldiers which would no doubt get caught up in the sand before being able to reach him. As he leant his back against the wall, surveying the battlefield around him- Giving a brief wave to Klaren in the distance -he could hear an audible grunt from the other side of the wall. A very distinctive wyvern grunt.
He glanced over at Ecquis, verifying this mystery wyvern wasn't him, and then glanced down at his Thunder Tome, and then up at the wall.
"I mean, I have about as much of a chance as being on target as I do when I can see the target..." He muttered to himself, before shrugging, and opening up his tome.

"Oh, that's easy. Because I'm only the SECOND best damn lancer in the world, didn't really wanna live in my sister's shadow." He said with a shrug, before laughing a bit. "Seriously though, I like to think I was pretty good with a lance. But I was just sorta plucked outta combat training and taken to magic training as soon as somebody noticed I had potential for it. And then I just sorta... stuck to the magic. Feels more satisfying, I guess." He remarked, mostly just musing aloud on his own reasons for putting down his lance in favour of the tome.
-

"And I'm insulted that you think I would just risk things by taking your wo-" Terrin bagan as he scowled at Keagan, but was quickly interrupted by Saffron's laughing. He just shook his head and smiled, noticing Hoshiko's onslaught against Luka, which caused the mage to begin laughing as well. He cleared his throat and looked back at Keagan, this time smiling, before quietly speaking to the knight. "I'm sure we can carry on talking about this another time. For now, I do suppose we have a city to enjoy."
"You'll be joining us, boss? Maybe you and her high-" He started speaking to Meredith, before shaking his head, still not used to speaking of someone of Saffron's standing so casually, but he was nontheless making an effort to correct himself. "Maybe you and Saffron will be able to learn a thing or two about using lances from a REAL pro." He playfully taunted.
-

Terrin frowned at Keagan. "I mean this as respectfully as possible, sir Keagan." He began, before folding his arms and glancing over to Saffron briefly to reassure himself of what he was going to say, and then looked back at the knight. "You seem rather worked up and hot-headed about the King being here. I'm not entirely certain the wisest course of action is to just leave literally the most important person in this entire war alone with you, when you're liable to run off and do something stupid." He said, firmly, before his tone softened up as he began to address Saffron. "I hope you don't mind, but I think I'm going to insist on staying alongside you, milady." He smiled a bit once more, before looking back at Luka, purposefully ensuring his gaze entirely avoided Keagan. "You don't mind checking things out on your own, do you?"
-

"I don't think anyone will forget the walking corpses for quite a while... Even as someone that has seen similar things before, the whole ordeal was rather... Chilling." Terrin admits, before just shaking his head. "If we can find any information on what was going on, I'm sure that would, if nothing else, help us all sleep easier at night."
-

"Oh, goodness no. Before I headed out to Laguna Port, I very rarely ventured beyond the outskirts of Caelum. I've heard of the college, my own magic teacher mentioned it a few times, he may have studied here in his youth, but beyond that I know very little." He explained, before shrugging. "Senator Deth is hardly the most focused individual in Caelum, he would rarely stay talking on one topic long enough to say much of the place. Regardless, I very definitely want to see what it's like in there- And I'm sure any friends of Feri will be friends of us."
-

"If you two don't mind, I'd love to tag along and see the college. Perhaps I could learn a thing or two. Anyway, I recall my own magic teacher mentioning the occasional visit to the place, I'd be remiss to not take a look myself." The thunder mage remarked to Saffron and Keagan, clearly quite eager to see such a place, before looking over at Klaren. "Perhaps I'll find you in the market, later?"

Apologies I haven't been keeping up with this topic, I set it so I'm following it so I should be able to update it regularly. OP has been updated with everyone up to this point.

"Good morning sleepyface~I hurt my big toe on your hard-rock muscles right now~" Klaren was back up at his feet even before Terrin. He looked around and then back at the mage. "Yeah I slept swell~y'know, like super well-swell~!" He then removed his headband and zipped his shirt back up.

"I think I'm ready for the trip~ I can't wait, hehe!"

"Well, I'm sure your toe will feel better in no time." Terrin yawned as he stood up and began to put on his robes. "I slept pretty good too, excited to head to the city, for sure." He smiled as he watched the monk excitedly bound about the place, ready to go.
-

"....Good morning Klaren..." Terrin mumbles, wincing, as he saw the monk's face not even inches away from his own, a very loud shouting, and for some reason his forehead hurt. However this was not the first night he had shared a tent with Klaren, and this was, in the scheme of things, a pretty peaceful awakening. There was no point even asking what had lead to this situation, however. "Did you sleep well?" He grunted with a yawn, as he waited for Klaren to get back up so he could put his robes on, the thunder mage had a tendency to sleep shirtless.
-

"Y'know, a lesser man would be jealous of how well you can do that." Terrin remarked with raised eyebrows, very clearly jealous of how well she could do that, folding his arms a little. "FEEL the spirits, eh..." He muttered to himself

(Static (28/30) taken from Rosa forgot to explicitly say so last post)

"You think you understand it, huh? Well, if you have advice to offer, one mage to another." Terrin laughed a bit as he opened up the new tome, scanned it quickly, and cast back at the tree. Instead of a bolt, this tome produced more like a small clump of electricity. It didn't hit the lance, but it DID still manage to hit the tree, albeit right at its base, which was an improvement to the majority of what his old tome had been offering him. "Hmm, that was alright, I suppose."
-

"Didn't they teach you basic thunder magic in training?" Terrin asked, curiously, before shrugging. "Well, regardless, I'm probably better off taking it. At a glance it looks easier to aim than this old thing, so maybe I won't be quite so spacially challenged while using it." Terrin smirked as we waved his thunder tome at Serene, before taking the static tome and opening it up, flicking through some pages. He smiled and looked up at Rosa.
"Oooh, I remember these. This is the stuff they give to mages in training. Not the strongest in the world, but really easy to handle. Thanks for grabbing this!" -

"Hit my target? What are you talking about?" He asked, looking over his shoulder. He quickly noticed the char marks in the tree around the lance. "...Huh. I really just...?" He asked with raised eyebrows, looking at Hoshiko for confirmation.
-

Terrin just sighed and shook his head. "I don't think it's that easy, Hoshiko." He muttered, closing his eyes a briefly while the ringing in his ears from her shouting died out. He smiled at her once he opened his eyes again, however. "Although that does remind me of something my teacher once told me..." Terrin cleared his throat before doing an impression of what sounded like an old man.
"Terrin, m'boy! That skill won't get you anywhere without PASSION. Magic is built on it. On Love. On Rage. On Fear. But not on this bullshit indifference of yours." Terrin just laughed once he finished the impression, shaking his head. "I just wish it was that simple, however." He sighed, dejected, as he turned to face Hoshiko, his back to the tree that was the target of this training excercise. "If it was easy as just letting go of everything- My frustration at Ashley's refusal to even aknowledge me, or my resentment of how father treated Terra over me, or my fear of what Lindl has gotten up to after everything we saw with Ignexius... And that can't be anything good..."
As Terrin began his rant about people that Hoshiko had no knowledge whatsoever of, he thrust his hands down by his sides while getting worked up. Unbeknownst to the thunder mage, but entirely in view of the archer, a bolt of thunder shot out from his hand as he did so, heading straight for the tree, and striking with such precision that it hit the lance he had thrown in there previously, causing char marks to crackle out from the tip where said lance was embedded into the trunk.
-

"I'm not sure my pose is the problem but... Sure, I'll try." He said with a shrug, it could hardly make things work. He carefully mimicked Hoshiko's actions- albeit mirrored -right foot forward, left arm arced out, tome held by the leg, the works. A bolt of thunder shot straight out of his fingers. It seemed more focused as it approached the tree. In the end it still swerved to the side and hit the ground, but got far closer to its target than his past two attempts had. "Huh, that IS an improvement." He remarked, surprised as he stood back up straight, thinking for a moment. "You're onto something- I'm still not convinced it's posing, but something is displeasing the spirits. The problem certainly isn't my aim..." He muttered, trying to form a theory.
-

"I... you think the issue is my pose?"He asked, sceptically, before performing a halfhearted heroic pose and casting another bolt of thunder towards the tree, this one arced in the opposite direction to the previous, still hitting the ground a similar distance away. "If that tree was a madman on a wyvern, we would both be in serious trouble right now." The mage sighed, dejected.

"Terrin? What are you doing?"

"What in the!?" The mage jumped back, startled as he heard a voice speak to him. Indeed, he had been so intensely focused on his regime that he hadn't been observing his surroundings at all. Alas, as he was these days for more used to the weight of his clothes than his armour, he misjudged his jump backwards and landed on the ground with a thud, sighing as he looked up and saw Hoshiko. "Oh, hey, sorry about that..." He murmured as he stood back up and smiled at the archer.
"I was training. Mage or not, a strong body can make even the most grievous of wounds seem like but a scratch, with the right techniques." He said, before glancing over at the half lance lodged into a tree a ways away, and the charred ground from where his spell had hit to the side of it. "Not that that matters much if the spirits won't even strike where I need them to." He added with a slight grumble, before walking past Hoshiko a little to pick his usual clothes up from where he had neatly folded them on the ground.
-

It wasn't long before Terrin had finished his pushups, and had picked up the broken lance, holding the two halves together as if it was whole, and darting around a nearby tree, jabbing at it with surprising speed and finesse given he was armoured. He quickly spun around and threw the pointed half of the weapon, which ended up hitting right in the centre of a tree quite a distance away from him with enough force to lodge itself in it. "...Still got it. Now I just need to..." He murmured to himself with a confident smile, before grabbing his tome from the ground and casting a quick bolt in the same direction he had thrown the lance. It didn't come close to hitting the tree, however, arcing to the side and hitting the ground a ways away from his intended target. "Why is it so much harder...?" He asked himself, clearly frustrated, to confident smile from before having canished as quickly as it had crept onto his face..
-

Ecquis had been generous enough to allow Terrin a wyvernback escape, but once they had arrived at their new campsite and things had settled down somewhat, the Thunder mage was nowhere to be seen. Indeed, a short while away from camp, hidden away in the forest, Terrin 's usual clothes lay, folded up neatly, on the ground. Next to this was Terrin, seeming intently focused as he did pushup after pushup. He had put on his old armor from his days as a soldier, as he usually did while training, for the added weight, even if he preferred maneuverability while on the battlefield. The armour was... something. Not the usual dull yellow colour of Caelish standard issue, but a vibrant gold-tint instead. But that wasn't all. Royal purple cloth hung down from his spaulders, similar cloth, only crimson coloured, from his waist. Not to mention the lime green trim all around the edges of the metal plates, it looked... Expensive, which was probably the nicest thing that anybody could say about the ensemble. But Terrin regardless continued his strength training, ignoring the fact he looked more like a jester than a soldier or a mage.
"Forty more, and then the fun part of the training begins." He assured himself as he continued, focusing in front of him where he had placed an old iron lance- snapped in half, worn out, rusted, just generally no use to anyone. But he focused on it regardless.

Terrin finally takes a big hit, and his passive healing renders it almost negligible. Nice.
And more healing + speed? I'll take that as a pretty good level up tbh

"I wonder where it flew off to..." Terrin murmured to himself, slowly hugging the wall with his ear to it. Soon enough, he heard the heavy breathing of an injured wyvern, smiling a bit as he put his Thunder tome into his robes and pulled out his shiny new Static tome, ready to give it a whirl.
