  1. Please redownload E17, this was patched relatively soon after the version game was released (I'm surprised you managed to get caught by it, we patched it quite quickly), and has been fixed. Just downloading E17 again and playing from there should resolve the issue, apologies for any inconvenience!

"You are welcome, of course. We've come this far, after all. And yes, Lua Magi, well... She was certainly... something. She didn't seem particularly nice, but it was clear she cares about her people, just as you do yours, and is cautious to that extent. She believed us when the much kinder Sol'Fael did not. I hope she can convince both him and the Ignis of the weight to our words." Terrin folded his arms. "It's a shame we were hurried out so quickly that we didn't have a chance to present the gauntlet to them, though. Perhaps I should have offered it up at the start..." He sighed, unsure of himself.

"Well we just got thrown out but... All things considered, I don't think that was a disaster." Terrin remarked with a shrug to Hoshiko and Saffron. "I don't think she asked us to leave because she didn't believe us. I think she asked us to believe because Sol'Fael didn't believe us, and a marital spat is hardly something to air in front of the potential ruler of another nation." He said, hopefully, trying his best to reassure the two. "I suppose there's little else we can do now but wait to hear back from them."

"Ah, there were previous reports of this? That is worrying, I had hoped against all odds that this was a one off occurence..." The mage admitted, before shaking his head and frowning. "What Hoshiko says is true. Many of these shambling foes would indeed get back up after we struck them down. The only thing which seemed to be certain to keep them from getting back up was burning." He explained, solemnly. This may not have been what they came intending to discuss, but the chance of being believed warranted this discussion as, despite his hopes, he knew this could be very dangerous indeed. Rudimentry animation of a Wyvern as he had seen was one thing, but people? It was wrong.

"There are some wonderful sights outside Caelum. Laguna Bay is quite lovely when the Kings' men weren't about terrorising everyone, although perhaps not enough sand for my tastes." The mage admitted with a shrug and a small laugh, before sighing a little. "We've faced the forces of Dragao on a number of occasions, including a general by the name Cloudbreaker who couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with her bolting tome, and quite the scrape with House Nohr. And over this time a number of Dragaon soldiers- either those forced to serve, or those who have had enough of Roswell's madness -have joined us too. We have faced many challenges to get here, but it has been rewarded with those we have helped on the way." He explained, before turning to Hoshiko. "If you wish to know more about the lands outside Caelum generally, I imagine Hoshiko can do a far better job than I of that. After all, she came to Laguna Bay all the way from Yukihana. It's quite the long journey, I hear." He chuckled slightly at that, before pausing to think, looking at Saffron and then back to Hoshiko.

"There was in fact one other obstacle we faced on our journey, however. Something... different." He began, before looking over to Hoshiko, who had a closer witnessing of the whole conflict with Ignexus, and could no doubt provide a better account than he.

"Put simply, it is just as I mentioned - we are looking for allies. I think I can safely say that everyone in this room- and I would hope nearly everyone in this kingdom -wants an end to this pointless war, waged for the greed and ambitions of a tyrant. I fear that many of the people of Caelum have lost their life to Roswell's crusade, and our group has seen firsthand that many people of Dragao have done so. And there are plenty of good people in Dragao - indeed, many of the allies our group has gained on our journeys are former soldiers or citizens of Dragao who wish as we all do. For this mass bloodshed to end. And no matter how much faith I have in the Kingdom of Caelum and our own group of fighters to end victorious over Roswell... Then what?" The mage asked, before looking in the direction of Saffron and Hoshiko for assurance he wasn't making a fool of himself, and then continuing.

"Dragao needs a strong leader, but not a tyrant like Roswell. Not a greedy, hateful person. It needs somebody just. Somebody wise. Somebody who truly cares for their people. Our group started as a small ragtag group in Laguna Bay, doing as best as they could to oppose Roswell and help the people around us. But that's all we could do, all we were. Just a small group helping on whatever small scale we could. And then we had a chance encounter. Saffron and her allies, evading the forces of Roswell just as we were. And things changed for us. We had real hope and a real purpose. Something really tangible to fight for. King Brandon's rule ended with ghastliness, it's true. I think nobody knows that as well as Saffron. But his legacy before that was one of fairness. Of wisdom. Of compassion. And THAT is the legacy that the future Queen has clearly embraced and inherited. For she has demonstrated to us countless times that she is kind. That she is just. That she truly wants to help the people of Dragao and beyond." Terrin paused after this, leaving the room quiet, briefly, to give everybody present time to reflect on his impassioned words, before nodding respectfully towards the trio, waiting to read the response to his words before considering the best moment to bring up the gauntlet Ecquis had given them to gift to the young rulers.

Terrin nods respectfully towards the three young rulers, before beginning his own introductions. Unlike where he usually had his tome strapped to his side under his cloak, he had ensured both his Thunder and Static tomes were fully on display and, in fact, had the broken remains of his old javelin strapped to his back as well. It may be useless now but it was a meaningful weapon to him, and he felt it appropriate to bring it.

"We appreciate your congratulations, and granting us an audience. We were able to make it here on account of the many allies we have gathered on our journey, and hope only to acquire more. I am Terrin, son of Lady Aisha. I grew up in this Kingdom, before embarking on a journey to discover where my true calling was in this world." He explained, briefly, before gesturing to Hoshiko with a proud smile on his face.

"This is Hoshiko the Righteous, noble warrior of Yukihana, and a true friend." He introduced, before turning to Saffron standing between them, and then back to the rulers, particularly looking at Ignis as he continued to address all three of them.

"And this is Saffron Dragao, daughter of King Brandon, and the future Queen of Dragao." He introduced finally, deciding to not yet elaborate on their reasons for being present as it seemed apparent enough, not to mention it was a good chance to give the three rulers or Hoshiko a chance to speak now.

  8. So I've looked into this and any issue with stuff like Espeon knowing Psychic is perfectly fine in E17, so we're good there. However Hooligan's observation is accurate- I do believe Calm Mind was unavailable in E16.

As for Sceptile, I don't reclal whether or not Substitute was available in E16, but off the top of my head Dragon Pulse was NOT available to it in the episode - The tutor for that move isn't yet available at the end of E16. So these are likely the sources of the issue.

"I do trust you are, in fact, joking, Senator. If we win enough favour in our meeting I will ask the Lua about the tome for you." The mage said, somewhat sternly, before turning to his companion with a smile. "Stay armed, be challenging, and earn the interest of the prideful? Y'know, I'm starting to think you may well have been the best choice for this mission after all Hosh, perhaps moreso even than me." He mused with a reassuring nod towards her.

  10. 0c611388f4a844dd9358eaf6fc40e759.png

Terrin glanced at his companion and smiled a bit; who knew Hoshiko was even capable of such surprise and embarassment. He turned back to the senator with the same smile, regardless. "Yes, that complexity can be quite something, and the two of us- and our group as a whole -would certainly rather this meeting went well. It's, uh..." Terrin sighed a bit as the gravity of the whole situation began to hit him while he explained it. "We have an audience with Ignis, Sol, & Lua."

  11. 0c611388f4a844dd9358eaf6fc40e759.png

Terrin was clearly trying very hard to hold back his laughter- This meeting was going about as well as he expected. And he couldn't help but be amused by his friend's embarassment.
"While I'm glad you think she would make a lovely main wife, this beautiful woman and myself are in fact here on matters of a more... political nature." Terrin said, before taking a deep breath, trying to compose himself. Not that he did a very good job of it, clearly still very much on the verge of hysterics. "We have a meeting tomorrow, a rather important one. And we felt you would be able to give us advice on how best to deal with it. Of course, we would also love to hear about your discoveries!" The mage said cheerfully, before turning to his blushing companion. "Right, Hoshiko?"

  12. Alpha is winding down and we're near it's end, so Beta will begin at some point in the near future, and then once Beta is done will be the community release where it is widely available to all forum members. The new AI required plenty of tweaking hence our underestimating testing times but we're all working hard to fix the bugs reported in each testing stage so we can get the cleanest most polished version of things we can out there.

  13. 0c611388f4a844dd9358eaf6fc40e759.png

"It has indeed been too long, Senator." Terrin nodded wholeheartedly in agreement. "I'd love to see your experiment- and some tea would be appreciated. I hope you don't mind if my friend joins us, though?" He asked, gesturing to Hoshiko to bring the Senator's attention to the archer.
