I got to level 8 on the voltorb flip in reborn. It does suck after that but the satisfaction is immense.

The obnoxious jingles and the blatant luck-based elements of voltorb flip are why I prefer the slots. At least with the slots, if I screw up then it's because my timing was off and I don't have to hear annoying jingles all the time.

Don't get me wrong, Bravely Default is super fun. But the majority of the game is repeating the same fights over and over, just harder, so it does get quite repetitive

Yeah I gotchu. The music got me sold on bd, so I'd honestly play it for that reason alone. It just helps that it has good gameplay too.

By the way, this is why I recommended you wait for Ep 2 before you try Se7en. Our Grass starter, Eufur, was noted to be underwhelming by many, so we improved its offensive abilities in Ep 2.

Honestly, I'd much prefer to be the one with problems rather than someone else.

I didn't plan on even ever having a "favorite Pokemon". It just sort of happened. One day in the Battle Chateau I ran into one on a trainer's team, and it was the first Pokemon I felt real-world SORRY for killing...er, fainting. Maybe because its faint-cry sounded genuinely sad, maybe because it reminded me of my family's pets.

XY was pretty lame imo, but the XYZ arc is pretty good so far so if you really want to watch something skip the first XY bits.

Not that good, but definitely better than all the B&W Arcs.

The only types I can imagine them logically giving resistance to without further crippling another Poor-off type is giving it Water ((Because Ice is just water in a solid state afterall... the resistance should go both ways)

then it'd make Freeze-Dry useless against Water types, right?

no hes saying ice should resist water as well as water resisting ice so freeze-dry would still have a use
