  1. Tbh, I'm glad you went this route with hoothoot. It looks SO good. Thank you for your work! I like the pichu idea a lot. It was well executed too. Hitmontop looks amazing too! Both are approved. This is absolutely beautiful tbh. And I corrected it. Sorry! Oh dear... I'll be waiting with bated breath. Also, Ambipom looks gorgeous! Nice job! Approved. Kinda sad that you aren't going with the green. This is good too, though! Keep going!
  2. Sounds good to me! Rocky Quaggy is best Quaggy. Let's go with that. Yep. It's really incredible how a small change can make a huge difference. These look really good! Approved! Yep! Go for it.
  3. Oh.. so you did. Sorry about that I completely missed your post. I was really behind so I was rushing through replying. Anyway... Thank you! I hope the rest of the game lives up to your expectations ^^; Edit: For the contest, yes, you may submit more than one design! These are cute! Approved!
  4. Not sure how much the dots work here. Not sure how to criticize this one because I'm not sure how one would sprite flower buds effectively. Anyone else have any thoughts? Hm... That's weird. Also the pink parts are here: Well. That's nightmare fuel. I like it. I think the blue goes well now with the new red. So let's go with that. Yanma is approved. This is definitely an improvement. Though, the shading is way tooo harsh for that orange. Something like this would probably be better. Though I had an idea for another Corsola shiny sprite, which was Corsola with Mareanie colors. I thought it was a shiny that made sense. Perhaps Corsola have changed their colors to Mareanie's so that they can survive longer by evading their attacks? Any thoughts? Okay... words can describe how much I hate this... because I love it so much. The concept is so siimple but you pulled off the colors so well. I LOVE this. Approved! That's fine! I can take it from here. I love the color choices here! Approved! Politoed and Aipom are yours. These are better, but the spots need better blending. I'll take it from here, though. I really like the idea here! The color choices are nice but they have some issues with them If you can redo the backsprites similar to these two, (which it should only be a few color edits) it should be ready for approval. Wow.... I'm thoroughly impressed with this. These are really nice! Approved. I like these a lot! I have a bias for this type of green. Approved! Approved! Oh, I actually really like the gray beaks/claws etc. I'll take those! Could you resend the Ariados with a white background/transparent background? The outline was lost in the black background. Spinarak is fine ,though. Also, I'll need the front sprite of Misdreavus as well. In png of course. I really like the new one you made! Made some color corrections. If you can replicate this with the backsprite/other hoothoot lines, then it'll be ready for approval! Try to not use many different shades of the same color. You can reuse color in other places and it'll have the same effect! Get called out, Zumi... Inside joke, anywayI've already accepted Zumi's ampharos design. Also that's fine for Quagsire I think. The blue spot on the back kinda stand out. I like the red/green colors. I'll approve this!
  5. I like the colors a lot, though if you're going to go for flowers, then spriting actual flowers would probably be better than just dots. ...Well played. Approved. I do like it. Let's try some other colors first before we decide on this one! Wow these are actually really well done. *screams* That was my fault. q~q. You two have similar styles (Which are excellent) and I got confused. Fixing now. I forgot to reply to Blissey and Igglybuff but I saw them and they are approved. Everything is a-okay. Okay, marked down!
  6. I've been gone for most of today... so long post inc. This looks WAY better. This is quite the improvement! Try blending the mouth with a gray rather than the brown. It makes it stand out too much. I'd also try other colors than brown. Not too sure that it works well here. These are extremely well done. Thanks! Unfortunately, there are quite a bit of issues here. I like the idea of bleached coral reefs, but I'm not too sure the colors successfully work here. There's a bit of pink left over from the original sprite as well. Additionally, it seems like you tried to manually edit the shades using a 1x pixel brush. If you look closely, it makes the pixels look broken up and shattered. There are a lot of needless shades of the same color. It's best to keep this stuff to a minimum for neatness. Lastly, what program are you using? Just curious because some programs can't go to 2x resolution which is an obvious problem. It's also really hard to keep track of colors that were used. I used to have that problem and it was not a fun time :[ So Hoothoot and Noctowl here have quite a bit of coloring/shading issues. It's very hard to discern each shade. It looks like Noctowl is all one shade. When it comes to shading I like to follow one rule. Is the shading visible when I zoom out? If not, I've shaded incorrectly. Also, like it was mentioned somewhere... it's pretty similar to Reborn's shiny. I'd like to keep things different. Perhaps try another color scheme? ------ Like the above, there are a bit of coloring issues present. These are the results of some tweaking I've done: So. the first problem with Celebi is that one blue shade was overly saturated. Everything else was quite dull while one blue was -incredibly- bright. I think it's best to keep to similar levels of saturation unless you're specifically doing it for shading. I know this works well with red and pink. The pink was fine for the most part. I just messed with the saturation and the brightness to help them stand out more. But you don't have to worry about this as I've went ahead and fixed it for you. So I'll coonsider this one finished. So there are a few color/saturation problems here. Which doesn't surprise me because yellow is a BITCH to work with. Generally when working with yellow you wanna go towards brown/red when creating darker shades otherwise it comes out like this gross yellowish-green shade. You did that for the most part, but the outline is leaning towards green which makes it stand out, and not in the good way. The goes for some of the shading with Mega Heracross. On the topic of Mega Heracross, I'm not sure Gold and Blue go together... Perhaps trying another color? Preferably not pink because we have like 10 gold/pink shinies at this point. LASTLY, I went ahead and created a fixed version of that heracross for reference, but I also made a red version. I kind of like the red, but what do you prefer? Hello! Welcome ^^'! Noted! Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would also be inclined to agree with all the dark colored shinies. Mostly black. I'm trying to stray away from using black too much from this point on. Which is why I created a brighter Chinchou. Oh wow, thanks! These look really nice. I can see your improvements with resolution already. Nice job! These are really pretty! I like it a lot. Go for it! Yeah I saw the PM, sorry about that. I tend to get distracted and forget to reply, but I did read it. Perhaps change the beak color, though? If nothing works better than this, that's fine. I'll just accept as is. approved! These are cute af. Love them. Excellent work as always, Atticus! :] Not sure I like the red too much on Ampharos... Perhaps use blue instead? ---- Houndour's line is... good, but those spots need a ton of work. They are too square. you're going to rough these out to make them look like actual spots and less like cubes. If it gets to be too much, removing the spots is a viable option as well. I think these were a step in the right direction. If you base the colors somewhere around here: They'll be perfect. Don't forget to change the outline's color when editing sprites! They only change a small amount, but that can mean a huge difference! You did exactly what I asked! So you're good. These will! This is cute, I like it. Carry on. These aren't bad! Especially for your first time. One thing though, please save these images in PNG instead of JPEG because JPEG ruins the quality a lot. I can't even save the file to take a closer look, thus I can't point you in a good direction. Though I will say that the golden Misdreavus is probably my favorite. Also I like the red Spinarak as well. So I'd continue with that! As for Mismagius, I'd say just go for it anyway. To keep things consistent. Sorry if I missed anyone. I had to catch up on a -LOT- Keep it coming guys!
  7. This was a good try for your first time!, but I kinda want to move away from the black shinies a bit, so I went ahead and implemented your ideas into this. One thing you should work on is staying to the same resolution. Some pixels were 1x, while the rest were 2x. So it made the sprite look cut up and broken. Mostly around this area. It's fine. It's all a learning experience. Looking good so far! Shading is a little hard to see, but that's all I really have to say about this. This'll do! Approved! ya. Also I finished up the Chikorita line. My idea was the idea of a blooming flower. It changes into something different entirely.
  8. #DaddyDan!!!!

  9. Nice job! Marked as completed~ Approved/Marked as completed. I... have nothing to say to you tbh Sweet! Approved/Marked as completed I actually like the diamond one the most. Wow, these came out really nice. Marked as completed! The idea is fine, but the colors are a little off. Something like this may be better?
  10. This is pretty sweet! Thanks! This is good. I can take these two from here. Oh. I like the Zubat looking Crobat. Also those Ho-oh's are beautiful. Hm... I actually might go with yours since you claimed it first. I really like these two. How about putting the colors of the beak/tail from the first sprite on the second one and post it again?
  11. You had the right idea. The saturation basically determines if the color is washed out or not. The colors are too potent so bringing that down a bit would result in this: The one on the right is my edit. .....jESUS Christ. Okay well, these are all extremely beautiful and I approve all of them. So, there were a few color edits I made. The outline was a different blue so it looked off. Here are some edits I made.
  12. I like the purple one more, but it has a slight shading problem. It's a little hard to see each shade properly so it looks slightly blurry towards the bottom. Sudowoodo is fine, but the shadow on its foot is way too dark. For Magby's backsprite, you're confusing shades. You made the lighest shade dark, and the darkest shade brighter. You reversed them, basically.
  13. The concept for Houndour is fine, but you're using way too many different versions of gray. Because of this the outline is becoming mangled. What program are you using? Some programs do this by default and it's really ergh. Also I wouldn't use solid black for the spots. especially on the lighter parts of the body. As for mareep, the body is fine, but the tail looks prettyyyy mangled. You can't even really tell it's a tail. So that'll need some work there. Gotcha. This isn't too far off from being completed! The main problem here is that the shading's saturation is way too low. If you bring the saturation up a bit, it should look better So the rule I follow myself is that if you zoom out and can't notice a difference in shading, it's probably wrong. It's also tougher for you because you're using so many different shades of the same color. Try to keep this to a minimum. This will make things look cleaner. I went ahead and switched the brown to red (It's easier for me to notice things with red than brown.) One thing you may notice is how each color can be differentiated from each other. With the browns you chose, you can barely tell the difference. That way it makes it look messy. Some things you can do is lower the saturation for some shades, but I'd be careful while doing this as it can cause some color problems. If you have any specific trouble, don't hesitate to mention them. I'm here to help.
  14. These are cute! Approved! Ye. Gotcha down for it. A complete free-for-all! Yep. Noted.
  15. Let's see it! Perhaps someone can help/touch it up. ---- Also edited the main post detailing a small contest. Go nuts.
  16. Wow, I didn't expect this much activity so quickly... I'll update the board accordingly. And boy... those are quite a bit. Gonna see what Bluedodobob can do with the Mareep line. As they claimed it first. And actually I'm going to reject the togepi line because I totally forgot that I was going to do a small contest for Togepi... Because it's Melia's Ace. That's my fault, sorry. Sudowoodo is fine though! I'll accept that.
  17. Okay! A few days have passed so it's time for Gen 2! After running the first thread, I'll be making some differences. Some new rules: You may only claim 2 lines at max. Let's give others a chance to claim stuff. You must WAIT for me to approve your work BEFORE going onto others. If you do not update me on your work in 4-6 days, I will release your claim. Parenthesis indicate a specific look I want the shiny to have. If you take one Pokemon that has an entire line, I would expect you to do the whole thing, not just one. If you cannot do the whole line, please say so beforehand. Things that may be required to work on this project Basic knowledge of color usage Basic knowledge of programs that can be used to edit sprites Your creativity! Red = Claimed Green = Completed Yellow = In danger of reclaiming (Basically people who haven't updated in a few days.) You can download the sprite pack here. Also, some mega evolutions from Gen 1 were not completed. So we're going to complete them now. Gen 2 list: ~ Small Contest time! ~ Togepi/Togetic/Togekiss Seeing as though Togekiss is Melia's ace Pokemon, and her Togekiss is canonically shiny, I'll be holding a small contest for it. Anyone can create their own Shiny Togepi/Togetic and submit them. I'll pick my favorite at the end of -4th Gen's- shiny thread! ------------------------------
  18. I mostly meant like... it can take a free hit whenever. So it can set up a Swords Dance/Bulk up for free practically. Don't even want to think about baton passing to it. Though I'm not the best at scripting so I might have to take you up on that offer sometime. I hope I don't keep you waiting for too long ^^;
  19. Maybe it will have the fast forward button, but probably not the field notes or the Dimensional dex. Dunno. Mimikyu can put in some serious work because of Disguise. We'll see.
  20. Up to you. Restarting the game will be a fresh experience. What changes specifically? I get what you mean though, but unfortunately that's just how the cookie crumbles when it comes to unfinished games. Changes are a core part of it. Those scripts will still help you. We aren't providing that. Just stuff from the pbs/sprites etc. And yeah... Torkoal and Pelipper are getting the mighty axe. I never thought I'd hear me say I have to axe Pelipper because it's too op, but hot damn 2016 has been a year full of chaos and if this isn't the icing on the cake then I don't know what is.
  21. So I was still not really feeling the blue still. So I expanded on the original idea and your idea. (I liked the color you gave their tails) So I got this: Still have to work on the blending for Doduo but I think I'm going to go with this. But yeah, Gen 1 is finished! There should be some sprites I need to fix up, but yeah, we should be done! Thanks for all your hard work! Gen 2 should start up in a few days!
  22. Me @ that statement I made. So yeah, originally that was the plan, but Ame/Zumi and a bunch of others came together to collaborate on adding gen 7 content to Reborn/Rejuv... and really any game that wanted it. So uh.... SURPRISE!!! Gen 7 is going to be in v9. This means it'll take a bit longer, but I promise you that it'll be worth. That's what I tell myself anyway. ----------- Reasons it's going to delay V9: Rebalancing: If I'm going to add in gen 7 Pokemon, then I'm going to have to rebalance a lot of fights, including Gym Leaders. I've already started compiling trainers in each area and have redone them accordingly. So you'll be noticing a lot of battles are different. Some teams have been changed all together. So I really apologize if something is too tough/easy on release. I'm still working stuff out. Reworking Wild Encounters: This one is self explanatory. Gen 7 mechanics: Tbh, this one won't take long, but it'll hurt my soul because dealing with scripts hurts me sometimes. I think this one will hurt the most because I have to add gen 7 mechs to Fields and aufhdgdfjhgdfg. Oh well, gotta do it. ----------- On top of that I'm polishing a lot of various other things like battle sprites, VS sprites, Battle backgrounds, shinies, adding in quality of life features etc... So uh... Yeah... Version 9 is going to be a mega update.
  23. You can customize the game however you want. Go ahead!
  24. There are a few sprites that I've saved that need touching up, but that's about it. Nice job! Marked as completed.
  25. I appreciate it! Go ahead and try if you'd like. I don't mind. We're almost done!
