  1. Which puzzle are you trying to reset? If you mean the door that Taka sliced through I don't think you can reset that without loading up a prior save. Even if you solve the puzzle beforehand you just get some orbs and a Z-cell and the door won't open. So it probably doesn't matter if you do it before or after.

Have you tried rebooting your pc?

I just did and it indeed worked. Now I'm realizing though that there's no file for the noTMX thing anymore or the actual mod that lets you change the weather which were the main things I wanted. Do those just not work on E19 anymore?

  3. Just tried adding the mods to my 19.03 game version and it literally does nothing. Game doesn't acknowledge that I did anything at all. I downloaded the newest V70 version of the mod. Mods folder is in the data folder. Absolutely nothing's happening. The mod worked fine for me on 18, this is my first time attempting to add it to 19. Any suggestions for a fix?

  4. The issue is in these fangames you're gonna be fighting broken OP mons in broken OP fields so not having your good defensive stat maxed out could end up screwing you when you switch into a boosted Pokemon attacking on that side. Meanwhile on the other side you could still get ohkoed by some random non stab move that's just boosted by the field or coming from a rift mon or whatever. For example you might switch your mixed defense Clefable into a Garchomp and still get 2HKO-ed by Earthquake but then if you switch it into a Hydreigon on the special side you might just get 2HKO-ed by a combination of Dark pulse + Flash cannon because they're both field boosted or whatever. That's why I usually focus on speed + power in these games vs any type of defensive strat. But regardless you might be better off going all in on the one defensive stat and just never switching into a Pokemon attacking from the other side.

  5. Spoiler

So this is the part during Lavender's dream sequence where she's running from Risa and the game just gets stuck on this scene right after Lavender uses the rope to get across this gap.

The music is still playing, the characters are still doing their little wiggle but I can't move or open the menu. The only thing I can do is save by pressing D which I tried doing just in case but when I load back up it's still stuck. I've attached the save right before this scene and every time I run up to the gap it gets stuck again. So it's impossible to advance anymore at this point and a fix would be appreciated. Or if someone loads up the save and it doesn't get stuck for them, you could also just save right afterwards and post the new save here so I can at least continue playing.

Playing on PC and have the newest patch btw.

  6. I'm a bit late on this since it took me a whole month to realize that E5 was out since its release but I finally just finished playing through the game from the start including the new content. I definitely enjoyed the episode but I've gotta say the lack of Scarlett screentime/story involvement was a massive disappointment, especially after all these years of waiting. I'm assuming it's because for some people she'd be dead/missing at this point so including her in the story would mean writing 2 branches but we could have gotten at least something more than 2 lines of dialogue. Ah well, maybe next time.

Main story aside, the thing I enjoyed most in this episode were definitely the sidequests. Especially all the ranger stuff including the part with Aderyn. That's the type of stuff I love to see. I'm actually invested in seeing the quest through at this point. Also, Venipede was definitely the right choice for my starter. 70 levels in and it's still OHKO-ing important Pokemon with megahorn in key battles after 1 speed boost.

    Spoiler

    *cough* *cough* Umbreon *cough*

Oh and for the love of God, please reduce the encounter rate for those early game areas. Everything up to the 3rd badge is grass or caves, a Pokemon jumps out every 3 steps and the game doesn't give you nearly enough money to buy the amount of repels required even if you put a repel selling guy outside the cave. It's almost unplayable and I could easily see someone dropping the game over this. Reduce the encounter rate by 80% and give some more money early on would be my advice. Thankfully later it's mostly cities and you can farm repel money in the fight clubs.

Now time to breed my perfect Excadrill and then wait for the next release.

Yeah, I'm not implying people are harassing him to add it, more that people seemed to fixate on it, and/or some of them may not have seen his statement. You had worded your post (mostly the "take into consideration") part in a way that came off to me like he has to be open to changing his mind or listening to repeat suggestions, which is why I had gotten somewhat aggressive in tone.

Well I can only speak for myself but I've been following the game for some 5 years now and have just learned a few days ago that Jan's this adamantly said that there won't be any romance. Until then I just thought "Maybe he'll include it, maybe not. Lets wait and see." But now that I see he apparently doesn't like this brought up, I probably won't bring it up again (at least not for a good while) although I may still engage in the discussion if someone else does. We're still allowed to discuss these things even if it doesn't end up being canon.

As for the friendzone thing, it's fine if you don't want to talk about it further but just keep in mind that the next time you see it used, the person using it might not mean anything insulting by it. That is all.

@Magus543 Dude you really don't need to prostrate yourself like this. You're entitled to your opinion, they're entitled to disagree. You've said literally nothing that sounded entitled or even questionable and in my humble opinion, they are overreacting probably because they're tired of seeing people bring this up and are conflating you with the entire mob. It's very clear to me that you were just trying to have some fun and talk about the game but they seem to have taken it as some kind of attack.

And you're DEFINITELY not being stupid for seeing the romantic undertones in Rejuvenation whether they were intentional or not. If that many girls are being that friendly towards you, you'd be an idiot for not considering that some of them might be interested in your romantically. Don't be the dense harem protagonist that needs a girl to spell it out for them in large capital letters. Even if none of them thought of you that way, there's nothing wrong with trying to pursue them anyway and maybe they'll end up liking you now that the idea has been planted in their head.

I get that you're trying to appease the devs now because they seem above human at least on these forums but you really did nothing wrong here and you are also not the only one with this opinion. Don't let their harsh response make you think otherwise.

The issue is that he has. He said no, never. It gets repetitive, at least in that instance. Asking for features is fine if it's done politely, but asking for something already said that will never, ever be in the game is going to get on the devs' nerves.

From what I've seen it is done politely or at least not in a rude way. But yea, feedback is gonna get repetitive the more people you have playing the game and noticing/wanting certain things. That is just how this works. Also not all of these threads are even asking Jan directly to do anything. "Would you like to see romantic routes in the game - poll" and then it's just people discussing amongst themselves. If the topic doesn't interest you, just don't click the thread.

Now if people are actually PM-ing him every day with "Implement a romantic route with Aelita you *****" then by all means that's not appropriate.

Btw, "friendzoning" just means you want to date the girl/guy but they just want to be friends with you. It doesn't mean you're entitled to their affection or that you think they owe you anything.

It's just something that happens a lot and people came up with a word for it. I see no reason why anybody should be offended by it.

  9. 57 minutes ago, Jan said:

Correct. Notice how I didn't specifically comment towards the OP of the thread or anyone in particular. It was a general statement. As the game's creator I notice a lot more talk about this sort of stuff. I've seen what people have said about the female characters and it's straight up gross.

I have not personally encountered anyone doing that but I'll take your word for it that they exist and sure, fuck those people. But since you were directly responding to a thread/post not doing that, it looked like you were addressing it to all of us wanting romantic routes in general.

Although if people want to make a thread or comment that they would like to see X in the game, I don't see the problem. We're just giving feedback. You can take it into consideration or not.

the only other available quest is classified information. but when I try to accept it it says I've already completed it.

It's the same thing in my game too and I definitely completed that quest. It's probably either a bug or just intentionally there. The game's telling you that you completed it so I guess just leave it at that.

  11. Reborn isn't really a game where I'd recommend using the same 6 Pokemon throughout your playthrough. Especially since you can't get any good ones early on but you're still gonna need to build a team to defeat the leaders. For starters I'd recommend Mudkip, Froakie, Chimchar or Torchic. Consider catching a Krikitune because I pretty much 1v6-ed Florinia with one of those by spamming fury cutter.

Late game we've got some really good mons available like Aegislash, Excadrill, Ferrothorn, Hippowdon, Garchomp, Rotom-W (these 6 happen to be my main sand team), Weavile, Mega-Lopunny, Magnezone, Skarmory, Clefable, Alakazam etc. so I'd recommend using some of those. Even then you're probably still gonna want multiple battle ready Pokemon in rotation in case one (or more) of your main team is useless against the current match up. Greninja, Weavile and Alakazam are what I mainly use to sweep through battles but you're gonna want some of the more bulky mons for gym battles. Sand rush Excadrill with life orb is also REALLY good.

  12. I'm gonna pick the romance option for the sake of the poll and because that's what would be my preference but the 3rd option probably describes what I actually want better. A non explicitly romantic ending would be perfectly fine too. For example staying with Aelita to take care of Sheridan. Or you could go with Valarie to visit her hometown (I kinda forget where that was). Or stay at Telia resort with Amber (Tesla offered to let you stay there anyway) etc.

I'm not asking for a 50 hour visual novel where you get to date each girl but a 15 minute epilogue (with an open ending or otherwise) would be nice.

Anyway great thread. Props on making it so the devs at least know we exist and what our opinion is. Whether they choose to take it into consideration or not is a different story.

This sort of thing has never been in a Pokémon game and there is zero reason for people to be expecting it.

Having choices in the game that give you relationship points with individual characters is a good enough reason for people to at least consider the possibility in my opinion. It also just feels your character is bonding pretty deeply with some of the characters (especially Aelita and Melia) so I don't see why you'd be surprised that people are thinking about a potential romance option.

You have to finish all of the neo Gearen sidequests as well.

    Spoiler

Ohhhhh you have to do that because he needs to battle Aya for the badge. And for that to make sense you first need to clear all those quests and beat her. That explains why some people couldn't get the quest to trigger.

  14. Well obviously you can completely mark up the rows like the middle one that have only bombs and 1s in them because they're useless. Other than that you're in a casino so it's gonna be largely luck based as you'd expect. You can however increase your odds by analyzing the board. For example the top row has 3 bombs and 6 points which means both of its point squares are gonna be 3s. So it's definitely not gonna be the 4th column since that one can only contain a single 2 point square. At the same time you've excluded the top and middle rows from containing the 2 pointer for the 4th column.

Middle column could have one 3 pointer or two 2 pointers so the odds of it being in that one are less than it being in the other 3.

On the other hand, columns 1,2 and 5 can also only contain 3 pointers so that gives some very useful information. Now take a look at the bottom row which has 2 bombs and 6 points. You can reach 6 with three 2 point items but since we know 3 of the columns cannot contain 2 pointers, the combination has to be 1, 2 and 3.  This means either bottom row middle is the 2 pointer or bottom row 4th column is the 2 pointer. At this point you can just take the 50-50 since it's relatively safe. The middle row only has 1 bomb so your odds are good that you'll at least hit a 1 if not the 2 pointer.

And if you hit a 1 then the other spot is guaranteed.

From there you can keep doing this type of analyzing but you might be better off just guessing and getting your coins from the lower levels if you fail....

  15. Spoiler

You know it's kinda pointless to be concerned about spoilers in your text when the poll choices are clearly visible to anyone who click the thread. Maybe you should have put "SPOILER" in the thread name instead.

In any case, I don't see why you would not intervene. First of all, Karen is the one who invited me onto this side quest so I'm basically on her side by default. You'd also be expecting some kind of reward from Karen at the end whereas Karrina hasn't offered you shit. The 2 reasons why you might let her do it is if you agree with letting her get revenge or if you're expecting some reward big enough to make you abandon Karen such as the mega ring.

In the first case, I don't really give enough shits about Karrina to side with her on this. Especially since Karen was basically mentally ill when she killed her parents so this just seems pointless. Also Karrina's kinda killing her in a cowardly way so again just no reason to side with her.

In the second case, Karrina offers you nothing to switching sides and if you let her do it expecting a mega ring reward, she pushes Karrina WITH THE MEGA RING down into the sacrificial pit.

I'm thinking that's the main reason why you'd push her down too since why would anyone change their minds from 2 minutes ago when nothing unexpected has really happened?

tl;dr Karrina COULD have offered you the mega ring since that would have actually made the choice more difficult but as is, stopping her is the morally better choice and it gives you better rewards.

    Pushing her is just lol

  16. Spoiler

As said above you need to go to the Blakeory Atheneum which is located in the scholar district in Grand Dream City. If you did all the previous thing related with the quest, Ana should be on the second floor looking at a computer.

To give you a quick recap, while you were in the underground you saw a girl running from some Bladestar grunts and for some reason the protagonist lets them take her. They bring her into their main building and then finally you decide to help her. Dylann also shows up at some point and lets you into the building I think. He's the guy who initially showed you into the underground and he seems to know a lot about the place. Anyway you obviously rescue her and take her to Dylann's house.  The girl remembers her name is Ana and btw she happens to be an android with no eyes.

Also she has some kind of chip inside her which is what these people are actually after (it looks like some person called V is the ringleader). Some things seem to trigger Ana's memories and she gets them back little by little represented via % of data regained.

At this point she's just curious about the world and you and Dylann take her out to experience new things and learn about the world while V's henchmen try to capture her. You end up saving her from a few of them and then when you get back to Dylann's place there's a package from the Puppet Master addressed to Ana with a disc that can be inserted at the Blakeory Atheneum which is why she went there and where the quest cut off last time.

One more thing to note, based on the bits of memories we've seen, it looks like she's from some post apocalyptic future where Pokemon and possibly humans are either extinct or on the brink of extinction. At least that's what it sounds like based on what this person she calls "Grandma" is saying. It will certainly be interesting to see where this story goes but don't expect any major reveals in this version either since the quest cuts off again.
