    "Oh, Paradox, you mean?" Raiza said. "The little darling's actually not mine, but Henry's. I'm watching over her for him while he's battling... Is there a monitor here--?" After wheeling around, she turned to her childhood friend again. "Well, I'm glad you're all right; I uh, I kinda promised Henry that I'd watch his battle with Paradox up in the stands." Hurriedly, she continued to say, "Uhm, sorry, I'll catch up to you later!" before running off towards the stands again. If she missed his battle, she wouldn't forgive herself for it-- and neither would the Togepi in her arms. At the same time, though, she couldn't help feeling guilty for leaving Lana abruptly.

I too often ask, "Why the frustrating gesture?" "Simply", I remind myself, "so that I can see you in the future."

    Personal choice is a tie between Water and Fire. Water for practical reasons as well as versatility; Fire because fire is pretty and fun. If we're following the quiz, though, I got Airbending.

    I understand that. Unless it's there, normally I don't follow rhyme schemes or forms cause that affects word choice, which can in turn alter what you really mean to say.

    Just wanted you to know that I'm reading along this time at least >< sensei. As usual, I love the fantasyesque feel one can glean from your works and I've got to admire the rhyme and form... sonnets are hard things to write. ><

    "Cytotoxin" (or was that "cytotoxic"... zeh) marks the first take on this challenge I'm taking: for twenty-six days, I'm going to take a new word from the dictionary and write a poem based on it. The rules are that the word has to be involved in one way or another, whether I mention it, write about it, make it into an acronym-- whatever, as long as I write something about it. I've already got my words for days two and three, which I'll be posting later and tomorrow, respectively. Should you like to suggest a word for me to write about, feel free to post it here or PM me. I'll post up the word I choose and its meaning and context, if any. Maybe if I feel like it, I'll provide justification for what I've written as well. EDIT: So I've found out a rule ._. apparently I was supposed to follow the alphabet in doing this and that I can't repeat a letter... no wonder it's a 26-day challenge. In this light, after day three's word (which'll start with the letter A because I already have C and B ), I'll continue with a word starting with the letter D, and so on and so forth. List of words used + definitions according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary

    A couple of minutes later, a near-breathless Raiza busted through the infirmary's doors, nearly knocking over a Trainer with a trayful of Pokeballs. "Oh sorry, dude-- hey! Hah... Phew. Hey, Lana! That was awesome!" she said, panting from all the running. In her arms sat a bubbly Togepi. If there was one thing she'd forgotten, it was to get Paradox's Pokeball from Henry... Though, well, she did realize it earlier, but figured that having time with her while she was outside her Pokeball would bring them closer. Ah well... it was a responsibility she took on for a friend, and she'd see it to the end. Anyway, before she spaced out and thought about how nice it felt to be acknowledged as a friend by Mr. Infamous Orre Boy, she grinned at her childhood friend, Lana. "Saw how you took him on there. You did great, girl! Whew... D'you have an extra shirt on you? I think I might have one in my bag if you don't. Gotta get out of those wet clothes," she gasped out.

    Chim, just to make sure, we're only allowed to use three Pokemon, yes? Does one of the pair always have to be the new Pokemon (e.g. my first battle had Lucifer and Toothless; can my second battle feature Rogue (Sneasel, aka second Pokemon) and Lucifer, or does it have to be Rogue and Toothless?)?

    So the battle had ended the way everyone expected it... But Lana didn't seem too fazed about it. Raiza'd have to confirm that; so far, she was just glad that the big guy didn't go easy on her at all. In fact, she couldn't help grinning when she noticed how surprised the crowd seemed as they watched the quiet Breeder hold her own against the popular tactician. Either way, the fact that she was, in her own way, a force to be reckoned with, should be burned into their minds now. With that proud thought in her mind, the Trainer hustled to meet her childhood friend. If she hurried, she could probably make it to Henry's battle with who was that aga-- Danielle. Paradox probably wouldn't let her hear the end of it if they missed that battle.

    It's a little difficult to stay away for so long. Hi, folks. I'll actually take time to check out activity here whenever I feel like it often enough, though I'll still not be as active on the rest of the forums.

    "Oh-- well, uh.. It's a fantasy themed game and... never mind," Raiza said, deflated. And here she thought she'd met somebody who loved video games as much as she did, too. "So that's how things are in Orre. I'd heard it was rough-and-tumble, but I didn't know it was that tough..." she mused. Thought Henry was just really joking, but I guess not. Right as she opened her mouth to say something, a thought struck her suddenly-- "Oh crap, isn't it time for Lana's and Mareek's battle already?! Ah, shoot, I completely forgot... Totally not cool of me. Not cool!" If she hadn't been holding Paradox the whole time, the girl would have been flailing; instead, she seemed to be jogging in her place, or hopping up and down-- it was hard to tell. What was certain though was that the Egg Pokemon in her arms didn't seem fazed by all the excitement-- in fact, she was giggling and bouncing along and wiggling her stubby little arms in glee. "Look, I'll catch you later, okay Henry? I promise to take great care of the little sweetie here and I'll be up in the stands for your battle too. And it was nice meeting you, L-- uh, Citrine. I've gotta go--!" And with that, the Trainer took off for the entrance to the arena's seats.

    ... did all this just happen while I was asleep really *sighs* anyway Regarding teambuilding, personally, I'm just going for a Dark team (with a future Chandelure). Given that I'm horrible at teambuilding (and that I actually, for some reason, have a somewhat competent Dark team on the server), this one in the RP is pretty much just for fun and the members are being chosen to compliment Raiza's characterization and to well, make sure that the team doesn't get completely rekt (which it probably will, I don't know). As for the speculation on Ryan's fate, I agree with Dobby; it's too early to deduce anything. At the same time I've got to applaud Chim for inducing all this mystery in the RP cause it reminds me of how fans speculate about their favorite books XD bravo and great job there, Boss. also hi Dobby I don't hate Doux he's super adorbs as long as his sparkles don't touch my Dark type babies The real reason why I'm here though, is to announce that I'll be away for a while. I need to sort out a ton of things on my end (yeah man, college life sucks. And so does being a girl at my age.). Assume that Raiza's watching Henry's battle later on with Paradox and bunny her if you guys have to. At most I'll be gone... Two days? Three days? I don't know. I'll probably be back in time for her second battle anyway. Right now I'm just looking for a way to logically get Raiza out of the active scene for quite some time...

    For a while, Raiza was flabbergasted. "C-Citrine, you're thinking of the wrong game. This isn't Final Fantasy..." That made it kind of hard to believe that credit went to her for some of Henry's tricks-- not that she'd seen them all, though. But, then again, if she had this mindset about type advantages and disadvantages, maybe she also played a little FFTA... "Why'd you have to trade Zuko away for two meals...?" she asked absentmindedly, thinking it weird as they were siblings. Even if they didn't really resemble each other.
