Enya looked at Miss Rose, momentarily confused. At that moment an earthshaking roar sounded throughout the library hall. "Up my sleeve? He wouldn't fit up my sleeve," she said. The tear ripped apart as if unable to hold back whatever it hid-- and out came a massive dragon, white with energy that rolled off its scales, flickering black with fury. Its head almost reached the ceiling, knocking down a chandelier, as it drew itself to its full height, the little girl who had climbed onto its neck like a little speck or a mere ant on the beast. The smell of the wolf was caught in its snout. Dinner was just standing there, below it. The human woman who stood by was irrelevant-- this would provide much more meat that she would. It lowered itself on all fours, and unfurling its wings, sped towards the hellspawn, hunger in its eyes.

Umbreon looked up at him. Unfortunately, her telepathic powers weren't anywhere near the Gardevoir's level, so she couldn't really give the guy a piece of her mind for only coming over now. In a last attempt to get Zephyr awake, she swept her brush-like tail over the girl's nose, irritably. Nope. No response. Not as much as a flicker in the girl's eye-- "ACHOO!" The poor Moonlight Pokemon tumbled off her Trainer's lap in surprise. Ugh. What. Where. Zephyr shook her head multiple times, finally coming to, sending her hair flying. Groggily, she looked at Umbreon, who got onto her feet and shook herself, looking miffed. As if she'd had no memory of dozing off or whatever'd just happened, she squinted up at the dude. "Oh, you again. Where'd you get those?" She pointed at the pistols. Those were hers. How'd he... Oh, whatever. Stretching, she stood up and yawned. "... Rest in peace," murmured Zephyr, brushing the head of the Hydreigon as if it were nothing-- as if she wasn't about to murder it not too long ago. As if it weren't her guns that killed it. "So... What's goin' on?" Umbreon merely looked at her in surprise and disbelief. Sometimes even she couldn't fathom her Trainer.

"Just go, I'll kill this bad wolf," snapped the child, with a steely tone to her usually naive-sounding voice. If Misters Ethic and Taylor wouldn't be able to help then, they should just get out of her way. The lava spread quicker, spewing and spitting as if personifying the anger Enya felt towards the evil creature. It bubbled furiously and greedily consumed the wooden furniture and shelves as it spread, faster and faster as it became thicker, toward the bad bad wolf. Over Enya, another tear of static shimmered, as if she were readying another round of God-knew-what to throw at the mad dog, should she pass the lava as well.

Helzebeth- Wall Team Scrutinizing, stormy, keen grey eyes looked the man up and down, and an equally cautious wolf eyed him warily-- almost immediately, however, deeming him to be no threat. Without a word, she picked up an arrow by her feet and spun it around in her fingers. "It appears to me that your men are in dire need of assistance." Looking up at the young man, she continued, "You as well." Whipping out her bow, she heard a couple of squabbling men in the distance. A look of distaste spread on the young half-Elf's face, and she sent the arrow flying. It zipped past the men's heads and hit the target behind them squarely in the center. "You'd all best work hard and heed my advice," she said, loudly, looking at the startled men as she addressed the archers-- no, they could not even be deemed worthy to be called "archer", not yet, at least-- people in the vicinity. Adding emphasis on the following words, she continued, "or that next arrow I fire will no longer be a warning shot."

Big bad kitty. Big bad wolfy! Enya fled for dear life with Miss Rose and Miss Ellaria, followed closely by Mister Ethic. She gripped Ace tightly with the other hand. On the other side of her fear, she was also starting to feel annoyed towards the bad creatures. Not because she didn't like them, but they were bad, bad, badbadbadbad. And Ace doesn't like them. The child's eyes flashed an icy blue, the color contrasting her mood, and what appeared to be a wall of static opened up behind them, widening gradually in a semicircular direction, even spanning across the seemingly endless bookshelves. This time she intended for them to be gone for good. Monochromatic lava burst forth from the seams of time and space, pouring out rapidly and spreading, consuming all in its path.

"Scal... Salcha..." The hellhound shook his head rapidly, giving up on trying to repeat the weapon's name. "... That kid's got some pretty strong chompers." He watched the Deino-- Umbra-- as she played with the Dewgong's tail, a bit astonished at the fact that suddenly, there was a baby in their midst. "... I'm going to guess that... That Hydreigon was its mom, and we pretty much just..." Houndoom shook his head again, slowly, this time, in disbelief. Taking down the oh-so mighty dragon didn't faze him much, but for some reason it felt... Wrong, in a way, to have the squirt tag along with its mother's killers. Ugh, whatever-- no time to pu... Persian out now. Shoving away his thoughts on how weird the whole situation suddenly felt to him, he stretched and shook his body. "Meh. Let me know when you want a round or two. I need to get some exercise in, anyway."
-
Ice poles, huh? Not bad, but... "Wouldn't those be... a little too simple to hit?" inquired the Houndoom. "If y'all want, I could fire some rounds, and you could get some practices in for moving targets too." After a beat, he added, "So that we don't have to kill each other accidentally." Looking back in the direction of the massive dragon's body, where his friends remained, he continued on, saying, "Could probably get Umbreon to help out too... If Zephyr'd just wake up. Also, what is that?" He wrinkled his snout, only noticing now something small, with the unmistakable feel that only Dark type Pokemon could give off-- what's more, he picked up the scent of dry scales, sensing a sort of naive, innocent bliss emanating from whatever the heck it was. Narrow, dark-brown eyes widened in disbelief. "That's not a... Is it?"

The hellhound watched as the Dewott fired(or... Watered? Houndoom shook his head in confusion.) in interest. As much as he worried for his Trainer, simply sitting around waiting for her to wake up just wasn't going to get them anywhere. And, he thought, nothin' wrong with showing her that we can be stronger too, right? The thought of making Zephyr proud and happy, somehow, seemed to revitalize the dog, though he didn't quite show it. He yawned. "Hey, kitty. Don't you think we ought to be buffing up too, like that fellow? Y'know. So we can protect Zeph better too." Umbreon, on the other hand, had to think about it for a while. "... I guess you've got a point. I don't know. But I'm not going to leave her alone here," she replied, curling up again on the girl's lap. "If you really wanna play around, go on ahead-- we'll take turns watching over Zeph till she comes to." Not needing to be told twice, Houndoom sped off to join the others in training. Sure, the ominous wind bothered him, and he didn't like leaving Zephyr and Umbreon all by themselves for too long, but just sitting down like this and not taking extra measures to protect his only remaining family-- now that, that just seemed worse. Making sure to avoid the jet of water, he approached the otter-like Pokemon. "I could go for a warm-up or whatever," he said, casually. "Got room for another?"

The little child hadn't bothered to try tuning out what the nice old man had just said-- she already knew that they were in a bad, bad place. It just hadn't occurred to the lass to feel afraid or doubtful as she watched Mister Ethic laugh like a crazy person. Enya observed the entire exchange, feeling quite bored the whole time. Letting go of Miss Rose's hand, she sank down to the ground and sat, playing with her little bear. "The only way out is to get to the end, or we just keep dying and dying and suffering and suffering," said the child, nonchalantly, waving the stuffed animal's arms to amuse herself.

"Hey, hey, is she okay?" The hellhound asked his friend, rather concerned about their-- admittedly, somewhat unstable Trainer and partner's condition. Zephyr'd been kneeling by the huge corpse's side for a while now and didn't seem to be responding to either Houndoom or Umbreon's gentle nudges. Climbing down from the lap of the girl in question, the ringed Pokemon shrugged. "I can't tell if she fainted or fell asleep or what. It's like she's shut me out somehow." Umbreon whimpered in frustration and worry. "Urgh, why'd... Why'd this happen? Darn it, she shouldn't have trusted those guns to the dude. Heck, I couldn't even get him to help me look for her..." She leapt onto Zephyr's shoulders and tried to get her attention from up there, pawing the girl's head gently. "Zephyr, c'mon, girl. Get up... We've gotta go... That crazy wind's acting up again, and I don't like what it's telling me..."
