  1. Any tips you guys have for someone who's never played anything like Dota 2, but will be giving said game a shot this week?

Ahh, I completely forgot about that! Thank you for posting it Itirnal Idgi, haha!

Purge is pretty good. Stick to bot games until you have a basic knowledge of what every hero does, and play every hero at least once.

    4. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Yea Purge is a good guide, he explains things rather than just let them happen. Have fun climbing the skill cliff, it takes a lot of time to learn let alone master anything. And don;t be afriad to try out the other MOBAs if you don;t end up liking DoTA, every Moba has its Merits and it's weakpoints.

  2. Nest Balls, a status-er and a Ghost type do the trick. Shedinja is great because you can get it in the Wasteland and it gets False Swipe from Serra's Mansion.
  3. It gets Aqua Jet and Huge Power, so it's got ridiculous attack power and speed isn't an issue since it has a STAB priority move. In comp, if you see someone set up a Belly Drum on this thing and you have nothing bulky that resists Water typed-attacks, you're in trouble.
  4. For Azu's 4th, Superpower if you need some Fighting coverage, Aqua Tail for a stronger yet slower Water STAB move or Body Slam to deal damage while waging status-war. If you need a Flying move, Bounce is pretty much a Flying version of Body Slam, just less accurate. You could, however, get a Zoom Lens from the O.Dept Store to boost all moves' accuracies by 20% if you're slower than your foe. And I'll PM the guide to you in 10 minutes or so, just gotta find it.
  5. Hope you enjoy your stay! Should you need any in-game team advice, come visit me check out and make a topic in the Team Showcase section and watch me slave away we'll see what can be done about that.
  6. I blame it's Speed (although it's defenses are nothing to write home about either). Not high enough to be considered fast, not slow enough to be Trick Room material, it's...weird. In comp, I have no trouble using it with a Choice Scarf, but otherwise...
  7. 1. I'd say go for Dragon Dance, Scrafty is bulky enough already, and with some improved Speed and Moxie, not much prevents it form sweeping. You can get Ice Punch with either set-up move. However, you need a Buneary (Obsidia Park) for it. It'd be Medicham>Buneary>Scrafty to get a Scraggy with Ice Punch, then you breed said new Scraggy with your Gyarados. Keep in mind that gender is important, the female and the egg are always the same species, unless one of them is a Ditto. So you'd need a male Medicham, female Buneary, hatch a male Buneary, a female Scrafty, hatch a female Scrafty and a male Gyarados. If you have a female Pokemon, but need a male, just breed said Pokemon with anything female which shares at least one Egg group (what's part of what Egg group can be seen easily on Bulbapedia). If you need a female but have a male, you're gonna have to wait until you get Ditto. 2.Azu doesn't get Ice Punch, it's not one of it's Egg moves (to see whether a certain move is or isn't an Egg move of a Pokemon, check said Pokemon's Bulbapedia page, they also list who gets it that move). However, Belly Drum and Aqua Jet are still available. It's a male Poliwag/Poliwhirl with Belly Drum>female Azumarill, then breed it with a Golduck/Seel/Buizel/Tirtouga with Aqua Jet. Note that Azurill is a baby Pokemon and those can't learn, so you need at least a Marill to do any breeding. 3. For this one, you need to go back to E12 or earlier, good ol' Gen 5 breeding mechanics (a link can easily be found with the forum's search feature). It's a male Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir/Gallade with Psychic> female Spiritomb, hatch a male one and level it up to level 37 so it learns Nasty Plot, then breed that with a female Yamask/Cofagrigus. If you wish, I could send you a "breeding guide" of sorts. You're wouldn't be the first to ask, so I already have one composed.
  8. Noctowl is also great for this gym.
  9. Th-thanks PWB, that actually did it, somehow. Entertained, confused, guess it's all the same... Corner Muahahahaha
  10. Then why do you reference them щ(ಠ益ಠщ)
  11. Pretty sure he means the forum's nightclub, a section only available to Ace Members (those who 1) posted 500+ times and bought a shop item for 6k RRupees or 2) beat the Reborn league while it was still a thing).
  12. Yeah, if you're not setting sun, keep Dry Skin. Maybe temporarily swap it for Sand Veil for Terra/Hardy, but that's that.
  13. Just as I've been slightly pissy over a bad luck streak in battles, this gent brightens my day http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-181749973

While completely ignoring that Giga Drain did 30% to him. You don't mess with Tangrowth.

What a shame, I wanted to fight a Mega Banette once.

  14. Pick Fennekin as your starter. Dephox can use that Trick Room TM we get from Radomus- almost a must for slower teams.
  15. I know what you mean with a final team, I'm also using a "final team". The Eeveelutions really aren't all that great in Reborn (except for Sylveon). Alakazam is quite great, but if bulk is what you're worried about, go grab yourself a Reuniclus. Several times bulkier than Alaakazm while having barely lower base Sp.Attack (125 instead of 135). Speed is also no concern, since we got that Trick Room TM from Radomus, which Reuniclus can use. With TR, only 7 Pokemon can "outspeed" Reuniclus. TR is also a very useful move in general, especially if you don't EV train.
  16. Sorry 'bout that Corner, dozed off for a bit over here. Morning, PWB.
  17. "Non-water types' Speed is quartered, except for Swift Swimmers" Brb, making a Trick Room team.
  18. Oh, I know, but in the first Team Showcase topic OP made, that's the style he decided to go with, I'm just going with that. And yes, main reason I recommended Reuniclus in the other topic over other psychic types was it's bulk and the stats to have utilize Trick Room itself, rather than just setting it for others, if need be, although a TR team needs it's TR-er to stay alive. It can stay in and fight, but if it's "fast" bulky offense, 3 other members of the team cover that, all 3 of which are "expendable" since they don't have TR. Regenerator actually is a good idea, then, huh. Guess I messed up on that one. But regarding Screens, that's an option as well, quite a viable one in fact. But Reuniclus is then reduced to being a utility mon-not that that's bad, but the current one can hold it's own in a fight better, should OP be down to only Reuniclus. And Grass is quite a valuable offensive typing, so at the very least E.Ball should be kept (imo). Meant to respond here, but Losty posted exactly what I had in mind when putting this team together, frightening impressive.
  19. The fourth move is Trick Room, and that's kinda Reuniclus main purpose. Also, Recover is unnecessary, we have healing items. Shadow Ball is also not necessary, Scrafty, Chandelure and Heliolisk all have 1 Ghost/Dark move each. It could be used if he wants to sweep with Calm Mind, but he has others to do that, better to go for Energy Ball instead of CMind, especially since we have yet to face any gym weak to Grass. And for Chandelure, if you're not feeling HP Ground, it also learns Trick Room.
  20. Just to clear something up, IVs really don't matter much. The difference between the best and worst IVs for a stat is 31. In contrast, a + Nature and a Neutral nature have a 25-ish point difference between them, EVs (if you EV train, though it's not necessary) give about 70. So really, who cares. And the "Ditto event" is the one in the factory, correct? If so, you'll sorta-soon get another chance to get it. But to address the issue at hand, Meowstic, Zoroark (yes, I was what you wrote) and Golem could really go now. They've outlived their usefulness. Anyways, you're missing out on a great opportunity by not giving Blaziken Baton Pass, just check Bulbapedia to see what can be used to get it BP. But, If you go back to E12 or earlier (but back-up your save first), you can breed Drilbur/Farfetch'd/Zangoose>Mawile>Blaziken to get it BP and Swords Dance as well, though Bulk Up can do the job as well. Whether you'll keep Night Slash on Barbaracle or give it Cross Chop is up to you, but keep in mind that the Psychic and Ghost gyms have both been beaten already. Also, Lens. Stone Edge and Cross Chop/Night Slash both(?) have a +1 crit rate. If you add a Scope Lens on top of that, that's 2 moves with a 50% crit rate each. Razor Shell also doesn't make contact, so you could even give it Sniper instead of Tough Claws. Or give it Wide Lens. So far, only wild Yanma can get us those, but those things boost moves' accuracy by 10%, so Stone Edge (and Cross Chop?) would have 88% accuracy instead of 80%. It's something. Special Crobat is best Crobat. Nasty Plot, courtesy of Honchkrow, Air Slash, HP Poison for STAB #2, Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse (soon) TM. There's also a Black Sludge on a container in the Wasteland, search around the forums or run around with the Item Finder to get the thing. I'd still say to just scrap Zoroark, but if you have to keep it, give it Extrasensory, keep Night Daze, some Hidden Power (Fighting would be neat) and Sucker Punch. Nasty Plot is an option as well, but with that "bulk", you won't get to set it up 90% of the time. You also get TM35 Flamethrower at the end of E13, which Zoroark learns. Now, you could add a Durant. It's (almost-)unique Hustle ability essentially gives it a 190 Base Attack Stat. Iron Head and X-Scissor are obvious STAB moves, Dig is great coverage. The fourth move can be Hone Claws (E12- Skorupi), Rock Slide (E12- Shuckle or Dwebble(soon)), Thunder Fang (Drapion) or Crunch. Next, utilize Blaziken. 1)You could bring that Granbull out, it would be a great, but only if you pass it some buffs from Blaziken. Play Rough, Outrage, Crunch, Double-Edge works out, I guess. 2)Krookodile is also a very good option as well. Outrage, Earthquake, Crunch, Double-Edge. It also gets Moxie. 3)Scrafty would be great to utilize those buffs. High Jump Kick and Crunch as STABs, Ice Punch from Hitmonchan>Buneary>Scraggy. The fourth move could be Dragon Dance as back-up-buffing in case Blaziken falls, or Fire/Thunder Punch, gotten the same way as Ice Punch. Just give it 2 speed boost, even if you don't give it any Attack, it has Moxie. 6th, either keep that Zoroark (eh...) or add something like...a Grass type. Leavanny has a great niche in having access to Sticky Web (technically, only Sewaddle does, at level 31. Swadloon/Leavanny don't learn it, so you'd have to hold off on evolving it. It can also use Blaziken's Buffs. Although Sleep was nerfed this gen to last only 1-3 turns, Lilligant's QD set still works. Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance/Energy Ball, HP Rock (Rock covers all of Grass' weaknesses except for Poison). Gogoat can also take advantage of Blaziken, but it's own set of Bulk Up, Aerial Ace/Brick Break (BB TM soon), Earthquake and Leaf Blade/Horn Leech is quite effective as well.
  21. Play RoughTM, the manliest, most terrifying move ever. Invented by Dobby
  22. Just to add something here, for the team in general: Sylveon has access to a 390 BP move. Get yourself a new Eevee through breeding with anything in the Field group or Ditto, level that Eevee until it learns Trump Card at level 45.TC gets stronger as it has fewer uses left, 200 BP for the last one, but Pixilate gives Normal moves a x1.3 boost and then a x1.5 STAB boost, that's 390 BP for the final shot of it. Noivern has 3 Flying attacks there for some reason. I think you'd hugely benefit from giving it Tailwind, Super Fang would also be great for bulkier foes, Boomburst and Dragon Pulse are also available via Heart Scales. Instead of 2 Fire attacks and Rock Smash, you could keep one of the 2 and add Shadow Ball/LightScreen/TrickRoom/Will-o-Wisp.
