Nessie Considering the sheer number of people about, it came as no surprise to Nessie that she wasn't recognized. She was pretty good at going unnoticed after all. "I don't recognize you either." She said in a happy tone, "I'm Artitha, most people call me Nessie." Having already come to the conclusion that she was a long ways away from her home, she felt rather comfortable discussing herself. It was nice to be a little more open for once.

Nessie Nessie also managed to land herself in the mess hall, although she was uninterested in eating. Really she just wanted some rest. She remembered unleashing Excalibur, but everything after that was a blur. Unsurprising, considering how much it drained her and all the emotional baggage that came with it. She didn't say anything to Hikari initially because she was tired, but once Hikari sat down she spoke up. "Hello." she said halfheartedly. It wasn't exactly the best speaking up.

Kevin "Our destination hasn't changed," Kevin explained, "just the urgency of reaching it." Even when he reached the more crowded cultural district, Kevin continued speeding. They managed to make it through without incident, stopping in front of a Japanese comic shop on the southern edge of the area. "This is the place." Kevin said, "Any way for you to disguise or conceal yourself before we go in?" (OOC: Can't update map atm)

Cardinal "She'll be fine once you leave." Cardinal said, "I'm projecting my power through you, if you're not here she'll turn back on." Lord "Memory erasure isn't his only talent." Lord explained, "Nor has he always used that talent, it's more recent that he's been trying to hide his existence. I'll make the arrangements for you to meet him during tomorrow's audience. Queen's flexible, he won't mind that you don't show up." Lord then moved past Solomon, heading directly for the teleporter. It was clear that their conversation was over. "Do be careful around Adam." She shot over her shoulder just before she left the room. It wasn't entirely clear whether this was a warning or a threat.

Merlin "Suici-?!" Merlin started to freak put before realizing what he mwant, "Oh, yeah, I guess that was sort of suicide." She shrugged casually. She was kind of pretty sure that she would have gotten another chance later. She wouldn't even remember this master when that time came. "This form is just a temporary one." She explained, "I didn't really consider it to be any sort of final death. Not even Ansuz actually returning could make me give up the dun of living." She shook her head and continued, "And you're right, I did pit us at a disadvantage, I apologize for that. However! If you don't turn out to be a crazed, parent slaughtering lunatic with way too little confidence in your masculinity--I mean seriously a giant magical laser canon? You'd be hard pressed to make it more obvious that you're trying to compensate for something--then you're most certainly on the path to being a grumpy old mage who that thinks they're infallible and refuses to believe that their worldview might be even a little flawed and subsequently drives their entire world to ruin which after relocating the population to an alternate dimension manages to almost entirely forget about the existence of magic except for one naive idiot with too many stars in her eyes decides she won't let it be forgotten and starts spreading knowledge of it to a select few which eventually culminates in a now slightly insane but still stupid, foolish, and naive witch turning an innocent little girlboy into a crazed, parent murdering lunatic with a giant magical laser cannon that's obviously a phallic metaphor!" Merlin panted heavily after finishing her rather excessive monologue. Yet somehow she felt a bit of clarity now, perhaps there was no solutoon. If everything she did led to disaster, perhaps she ought to stop interfering. An old acquaintance of hers would almost certainly have tjougt this a great idea. Which probably meant it was a bad one considering his traditionally poor judgement on the matter. But nonetheless it was all she could think of. "...I forfeit." She said sadly, "As per the agreement, we'll do things your way." (OOC: Hoo boy, that was hard to write without a million TTG spoilers, but yay, Merlin angstdump)

Official unofficial Shiori sheet. she's not so much a proper character as an NPC I expect to be very relevant due to her power level being so high and her allegiances so fragile Name: Kitani Shiori Age: 22 Alignment: Neutral Evil Tier: A Appearance: A young and fair Japanese girl with black hair and brown eyes. Consistently found wearing some form of cosplay for her job Magic: The prodigal daughter of a long-lived mage family of fifteen generations. She is very knowledgeable in magic, although her combination of skills makes one wonder as to what that magic might be used for. Has an affinity for Wind magic Offense: A; Shiori's family specialty is crafting weapons out of the air itself, using a technique called "Air Sharpening." She can create nearly invisible weapons of almost any type so long as there is air at her disposal, her weapons must be created in hand but can be released without consequence afterwards. Weapons crafted in this manner are extremely sharp and can slice through most anything, although thick metals will stop them. Shiori can also attack in more standard ways such as firing magical blasts or using bursts of wind to push and shatter. Defense: D; Although not as adept at defense as she is in other areas, Shiori is still capable of placing decently powerful wards and crafting simple magic barriers. To a small extent, her Air Sharpening can be used to cut through ranged attacks. Utility: B; Highly adept at scouting using a special technique that turns the air itself into a familiar of sorts. This familiar is almost entirely undetectable by means of magic and essentially its only trace is the unnatural breeze it causes when it moves. Shiori can also perform many other basic scouting techniques. She is well versed in the manner of magical poisons, many of which she can synthesize directly inside a target given the proper circumstances. Finally, she can greatly enhance the speed and eyesight of herself and allies. Mana: A; A formally trained mage of a long bloodline, has a large amount of mana at her disposal. Other: Considers life to be about two things: inevitable death and acquiring wealth. She's most certainly an easy bribe

Kevin "We're nearly-" Kevin's response was suddenly cut off by a thunderous crash. He looked out the windows, casting about to see where it came from. It vaguely sounded like it came from behind, but he couldn't see where from exactly. "Okay, new plan, we're getting there right now. The war seems to already be in full swing." Kevin floored the gas and shot full-force towards the cultural district. Luckily the industrial sector wasn't a likely place to get pulled over at this time of night. Merlin "Go fish~" Merlin said cheerfully. Her master's confusion was apparent, it was plainly apparent he considered this foolish. She sighed, her energy draining slightly. "Look," she said forcefully, "You're gonna need to enjoy yourself or you don't have any chance at this. Neither the game nor the war. There's no point to proving yourself if you just turn into a stuffy old mage that looks down on everyone else when you're done. Lighten up." This was going exactly like it had before, and Merlin had no idea how to stop it. The best she could do was try again and hope that this Master would be more responsive.

The sound of the cannons was like a roaring thunder resounding throughout the city. Anyone outdoors and not inside a magical go fish dimension would easily hear it (Ooc: tldr notice the cannonfire if your outside)

Merlin The world seemed to shift slightly, blocking out everything except the cards and the players in a veil of black. Merlin reached down slowly and grabbed yet another cards, causing another flash on light as she revealed it to be yet another 2. "The tingling was just the deck acknowledging that you'd agreed to the game." Merlin said cheerfully, "Everything else is just to look awesome. I'm just super lucky." She then proceeded to request another 2, which she retrieved from the pool with another flash, completing her set. She continued by requesting a jack, which James did not have. She got an ace from the pool for it, ending her turn. Hand: 5, 7, 8, J, A Sets: 2 Kevin "I'd rather not go into the details, just leave it at loneliness." Kevin said, mildly embarrassed. He then laughed a bit. Thinking about his relationship with Shiori was actually rather amusing. "She's most assuredly not to be trusted." He said, "Not exactly playing me, but we can't rely on her entirely. Don't worry about it too much, it'll be pretty obvious if and when she turns."

Kevin "How I met Shiori?" Kevin said, "Well, it's a bit weird, but the short of it is that she was lonely." The long of it involved a couple of tow trucks, a salad, and a sedan full of toasters, but Kevin wasn't quite up to recounting that story aloud anytime soon. "We got together and talked a lot, since neither of us had anyone else to talk to about anything. Eventually we started just kind of telling each other everything. she told me her deepest secret, I told her about the Grail." Kevin headed into the industrial district, Merlin Merlin reached into the pool of cards, being sure to go slow and dramatically. There was a flash of light as she selected her card. without even looking at it, she flipped it over. Fire was in her eyes as she declared, "2, I get to keep going." She smiled mischievously. All was going according to plan, James was nowhere near prepared to deal with her overwhelming Go Fish power. Wanting to keep up her momentum, she went ahead with her next move. "Do you have any 2s?" she asked again, of course knowing full well what the answer was. She seemed almost giddy, this strange decision seemed to be the most exciting thing in the world for her in this moment. 2, 2, 5, 7, 8, J

Lord "I can't exactly talk about that group," Lord said, "Their leader would probably be annoyed that I brought her up at all." Lord closed her eyes momentarily, entering a state of deep thought. She considered as many options she could think of. It was clear what Solomon was thinking, and Lord wanted to give him what he wanted. But he was too involved elsewhere right now, it would have to wait. "We'll discuss that more after the world is a little less at risk." She stated with finality, "For now there's something else that's needed from you. There's a man who goes by the alias Arcturus, he's got a funny habit of deleting people's memories of meeting him. I was discussing this with Mr. Davidson, and he suggested that the AI you've got stuffed in your brain might be able to remember him for you. In short, I was hoping you'd help us find him. He'd be a great asset in defeating the Tenth God without risking any of the Planes."

Blink "A thumbs up." Blink giggled, "Sorry, sorry, I shouldn't be laughing. But based on what happened with her first opponent, I would have expected something kinkier." Blink could think of only one way to resolve this issue. "Alright, I've determined that her sole goal isn't to get in your pants, so it's possible she threw the match. Personally not a fan of people letting me win, but hey if the Planes don't get screwed up beyond repair you guys can have a rematch with lower stakes or something. 'Course she could just be fucking with you. Best solution: We'll go talk to her. You've convinced me to mostly trust her not to try to molest you as reimbursement for her giving you the match." Tai "Nothing is wrong." Temperance said, "The heat was very hot." She made no effort to move her hand and seemed very much like the statue Tai treated her as. "This is who she is." Cardinal told Tai, "The thing in front of you has no soul, at least not a real one. I turned off her false one." Lord "About fifteen major organizations with a couple dozen smaller groups," Lord said, "in total I'd guess around five-thousand people." She picked up on Sully's change of mood and chose to ignore Morgan for the moment. "And of course we're making an effort against these groups. But finding them isn't easy, they're almost impossible to hunt down without already knowing where they are. We have to catch members outside the research facilities and follow them back. And even then, they often manage to move before we can launch a raid." Lord explained, "We've been working with an... independent group to try to increase how often we can go out, but with the Tenth God's looming threat, that's gone to the backburner." The Diviner Leonard spotted Mommo enter and understood that Morgan was being intentionally ignored, so he decided to see if he could assist them. He walked over and asked, "What do you girls need?"
