Suguri SP Suguri dashed in one last time and was surprised when she was met not by a ranged attack, but a fist flying towards her. She raised one of her daggers in an attempt to parry and swung the other at her opponent. Though she managed to reflect its course slightly, the punch still managed to graze her shoulder, sending her flying. Everything went dark and the word WIN flashed across her vision. She wasn't sure how, but by some miracle she'd managed to win out despite the power of her opponent's assault.

Loki Loki stood up. "I've been waiting to show off all morning." She tipped forward towards the ground. Ice wasn't initially sure what was going on, but it seemed like Loki both braced herself with her arms and shifted into a roll. One Loki thudded into the floor and the other jumped back to her feet, because now there were somehow two Lokis. Both Loki's moaned and rubbed their noses. "I need a better way to do that." The one on the floor grumbled. Wendy "Um, yes? I thought that was obvious." Wendy told Anemone. "I asked for one of the manager's rooms so I could have greater privacy and nobody raised any objections." She wasn't sure what Anemone was getting at, at all. Apparently Anemone had found a piece of the puzzle that Wendigo hadn't, but Wendy already knew this was her room so that couldn't be the missing piece.

Loki Loki seemed visibly upset by this question. "No, still nothing. At all. No height, no boobs, not even weird body hair." She scowled towards the curtain where Genie had disappeared. Wendy Wendy jumped back in surprise at Anemone's outbreak, it was of course rather startling in the wake of the previous stillness. "Whoa! Slow down, what?" Wendy couldn't keep up with the sheer volume of information spouting from Anemone. Hopefully some part of it would provide answers once Anemone calmed down and elaborated.

Aries "That's good to hear." Aries smiled and placed a bowl of chicken soup in front of Mommo. "I was worried for a while there, but you pulled through. It, it was really great." Aries seemed to be a bit at a loss for words and just kind of stared at Mommo for a bit. "Just fuck already." The voice came from Aries's pocket. The god's face flushed bright red with embarrassment. "Ram! Shut up!" He hissed. "No, you shut up. This awkward flirting is driving me nuts." The pocket voice shot back. Aries pulled a ruby pendant out of his pocket and glared at it. "Mommo, meet Ram. He's my mech's AI and a giant pain in the ass." "You're the pain in the ass. What I am is the guy that keeps you out of all the trouble you try to get yourself into. Like girls." "He is also that." Aries confirmed in a sarcastic tone. Pointedly adding, "If he keeps being a bother I'll stuff him in a drawer."

Suguri SP vs. Shinobu, Turn 2 Suguri SP: Occupy 24. Beam Knives 30. 0 hits. 0 grazes. Loses 0 HP. Gains 8 energy. HP: 18/30 Energy: 80/132 Status: Field: Groundbroke [30, 31, 33, 34, 35] Shinobu: Occupy 27. Earthshatter 32. 1 side hit. 2 direct grazes, 3 side grazes, 1 far graze. Loses 13 HP. Gains 70 energy. HP: 14/27 Energy: 131/148 Status: Suguri SP Nothing more needed to be said. Neither of them was happy about this, but neither was willing to back down either. Suguri ducked aside from her opponent's seismic assault and countered with a set of rapid slashes from her knives before jumping back once more. They'd both taken some hefty hits, it seemed unlikely this would go on much longer. Suguri readied her knives for one last charge. Yet even more significantly, for the first time in millennia, she felt happy.

HP: 27/27 Energy: 61/148 Status: Suguri SP Suguri took only a moment to asses what was happening. She recognized her opponent, after all they'd been in close proximity moments before. It didn't seem abyss was going to give them a choice in fighting, so she simply accepted that it had to be this way if she were to return to her duties. "It doesn't seem we have a choice but to fight." she called, "I don't have anything against you, but I have to go back." She hoped that would be enough to prevent any hard feelings as she charged forward to slice at her foe with her beam knives. Unfortunately for her, she completely missed. She managed to raise her knives in a counter stance just in time to block the first of the electrical bolts that flew her way, but she couldn't defend against the full attack.

HP: 4/15 Energy: 86/142 Status: -1 move Mokou As always, being pulled into these fights was a bit of an inconvenience, but Mokou wasn't too concerned about it. Her opponent was among the newcomers, although she'd had little interaction with this one. She charged in and slashed at him with a set of flaming talons, taking a blow to her shoulder from his attack as she did so. Her attack failed to connect and she backed off. She wouldn't be able to move as effectively next turn, it was unlikely her body could take the hit. So now she needed to see whether this was an opponent worth spending her energy on or if she should just let him have his win.

Just before everything went black, "WIN" flashed in front of her. If this was winning, she didn't want to do it ever again.

A nice lady had just taken her in and offered her cookies when the mean head lady had suddenly taken her to this rectangular prison. "..." I don't want to fight. She pleaded, but her cries went unheard. She didn't want to destroy anyone like the mean head lady said, but she saw her opponent readying their weapon and knew she didn't have a choice. "!!!" Noooooooo! She cried as she summoned her robot allies to her aid. Several beams of white light tore through the air between herself and her foe, a hail of bullets firing at her in return. Two of them flew close enough to scare her, but she managed to stay just out of their way.

With absolutely zero warning, the world vanished. It was replaced by an arena, crafted from stone just like everything else. It was rectangular in shape, with spectators inhabiting seats along the short ends of the rectangle. The two unfortunate enough to be called to face each other stood just below these spectators, facing off at a long range. In the center of one of the longer sides of the rectangles was a being whose face was easily recognized: Abyss herself. Her voice appeared in the minds of both gladiators in her pit at the same time. "Destroy them." Matchups Terumi vs. Rei Suguri SP vs. Shinobu Sheriff vs. Nibiiro Akemi vs. Mokou Begin PMing in moves for the first turn immediately

So, this is a big deal RN. It always is but 2k18 fucked it up so it got bigger for a bit. Curious what people's opinions are. In my opinion microtransactions are usually bad but can work well in some cases, even in games with an entry price. They should be viewed on a case by case basis rather than judged as a whole.

Caliber Caliber seemed to think for a while before nodding. "Alright." She started walking towards Cheryn inside the shield bubble with the expectation that it would either dissipate or follow. Cheryn herself was beginning to feel the strain of maintaining her barriers. It was only the slightest sensation, but the feedback told her just how dangerous this fire was. If Caliber was wrong about the damage potential, it could prove disastrous.

Loki Loki perked up happily. "I like this name, it sounds cool." she said, "Miss Scary-Eyes said it had something to do with an ancient trickster or whatever." She was well aware of and genuinely took pride in her nature as a prankster, so the name was more than welcome. It was at this point that Genie reentered the room, she waved off any attention and headed over into a curtained off area of the room separate from Ice and Loki. Caliber "The fire wouldn't spread far enough to harm anyone, it would only have a chance to burn this room and the one attached." Caliber told Cheryn, her voice hollow, "I couldn't let this horrible place and all these torturous machines stay intact so that they could be used again, no matter how low that chance. I couldn't risk it. You say what about Tallow. This is about Tallow. So just leave me alone." Wendy Wendy and the eye both froze along with Anemone.

Suguri was slightly confused by the strange taste of the food, but she was hungry so it didn't matter all that much to her. She scarfed it down rapidly, taking the cook's warning about their possible summons to heart. Unfortunately, it seemed only one of the other was interested in working together, that didn't bode well. Still, at least one was more than none. She would make an effort to communicate with them further once they were done with their own food, for the moment she needed some more information. "So, where can we find this Saki?" She asked. Mokou "She has a bakery a little further down." Mokou told the silver-haired girl, "I can lead you there." She removed herself from behind the counter and headed towards the door, next to which she stopped and waited to see if anyone would follow.
