Is it possible to ban an ability on a specific Pokemon? That would technically make it possible to ban Blaziken without abnning the mega (ban Speed Boost Blaziken but allow Blazikenite and Blaze Blaziken) However, I'm not going to push for that as it seems like most people would disagree

I don't know much about Manaphy, it's never struck me as being very strong, but I haven't really seen it used much either Kyurem-B may have an exceedingly high base stat total, but it's movepool is so severely lacking it's not even funny

I'm with Ame. I'm still early on, but I didn't need to get any new Pokemon to beat any of the gym leaders yet (I tried to with Rini, but the Pokemon I got turned out to be basically useless and I ended up just using my Arbok I'd had all game) So far I've only had trouble with one gym, the others all fell to my team (in close battles that required skill and not levels) That's part of why I really love this game. I hate grinding in it, but I don't really need to grind in it either

Yes. Rotom-W has a million and one thing that stop it. You don't have to hit it with a Grass attack to take it down. Virtually any bulky sweeper that isn't weak to Water can take it. And if it resists Rotom-W's STABs (I.E. Is a Grass type), being bulky is not even a requirement

I was thinking. It's also possible that such a situation might finally knock us apart, so I might be ZEL, or like, the Z and L. Or is it the E and L? I forget which is which... Definitely the L for one part though

@Glalie You do know Blaziken is quite capable of sweeping entire Uber teams easily, yes? In OU the only things that can take it down on equal footing are Talonflame and Azumarill (And they are both wary of switching in if it has Thunder Punch), Chandelure could also take it if it's only running two STAB attacks and it doesn't switch for whatever reason (Since Chandelure is immune to both Fire and Fighting) But that situation is unlikely and Chandelure is rare in OU As for the rest: I saw a comment somewhere, can't remember where though, saying that a person got into competative battling this generation hoping for a more balanced metagame. They were disappointed to find that it was just like last generation with everyone running a Blaziken or Genesect It is a major problem that these Pokemon are so common. That we have to build entire teams around countering them or run a certain Pokemon *CoughTalonflamecough* to beat them. And even then, you can't be certain your opponent isn't running X moveset over Y moveset. That can get your entire team swept It isn't a matter of "get better at predicting", otherwise people far better than anyone here wouldn't be experiencing these problems as well. Pokemon with such ability and frequency aren't just over used, they're over powered (Ouch, that was a pun...) Bur that's jsut my opinion, and I can't even really speak from personal experience. I have yet to encounter a Blaziken my Tyranitar can't beat. And have yet to encounter a Genesect at all And onto Klefki: I really wouldn't know if it's problematic or not, in Y I usually just Earthquake it with my Hydreigon and it goes down. But from what I gather it's really just annoying, not an actual threat

I don't mind grinding. Though Reborn is an exception. The wild encounter rate makes grinding quite hard, I suppose I should grab something with Sweet Scent, but that's not my style anywhales. Usually if I'm stuck at a point, in any game, I just keep charging at whatever is in my way until I reach a high enough level or get lucky enough to break it (Which is basically grinding I suppose)

I like Smogon. IDK about the community, but it sounds like practically every other internet community ever I also really like their tiers, but I also understand people that dislike them. Especially when they disallow a really cool Pokemon

I have never had a problem with Rotom-W, 2HKO at the most. But then again, I usually take down Y Mewtwo with my Mismagius (Which is in UU BTW), so I may just not be facing very strong opponents EDIT: Really I think that which Pokemon you personally have trouble with doesn't say much, different people are good at different things and have different teams. I use both Rotom-W and Y Mewtwo as setup fodder for said Mismagius, but nearly my entire team dies to Aegislash Genesect has always come off as being pretty tough to beat. Not because of its typing or stats, but because it has such a massive movepool. You can never really have any idea what it's going to do, and it is pretty good at all of what it can do

Well, haven't gotten all that far yet. But probubbly Rini. A situation like the one Reborn is in might be enough to knock me into that state
