Typically I'm used to "the protagonist" meaning the main character when there is a clear, single mc. That only leaves one beyond the four you listed (and Elma is fine so fuck you if that's what you're insinuating). Psure most people mean the same thing, thus the higher amount of flak they get compared to the secondary and tertiary characters.

After two hours of fight, research and perseverance, I'm glad to announce that the pix-attack has been countered. The first episode of TTOAF is now clean and immaculate just like before

To most people this little troll is probably just an inconvenience that spooked you and gave you a quick laugh, but for those of us who make our home in the rp section, it's a major hurdle that completely invalidates our ability to post properly. pix~
The fact that this went through shows that we've either been forgotten or deemed inconsequential, a stupid April Fool's gag is more important than remembering we exist. pix~ This is extremely inconsiderate and flies in the face of ribbon's own rules. pix~ If fun at others' expense isn't fun, why the fuck are you all still having fun at our expense? pixpix?
What's worse is that while this is the first time it's been so egregious, this is far from the first time ribbon's leadership has forgotten about or outright trampled us. pix~ It wasn't that long ago that one of our few representatives had to step down because the rest of the auth team constantly ignoring her and putting her down was caucyng severe harm to her mental health. pix~
There was a time when I cared about this place, and worked hard to build something that I could enjoy and be proud of (and others have worked harder than me), but constantly being treated like we don't exist or don't matter is cruel bordering on heartless and I'm pretty fucking sick of it. pix~
At this point I'm starting to think we're not welcome here, and we should just all give up and move our roleplays somewhere else. pix~ If the auth didn't outright throw a party, I'm sure they wouldn't care enough to notice until long after we were gone. pix~

The forums will, but someone will have to manually go through and edit any ruined posts that need fixed (which we've been promised will happen so at least it won't be out problem to do the cleanup)
Grammar, tone, and flow are all important in writing. pix~ But even if they weren't, do you honestly believe that reading seven paragraphs of "pix pix pix" everywhere wouldn't get extremely obnoxious? pixpix? Especially after you spent an hour painstakingly toiling over those seven paragraphs
How would you feel if you spent an hour making something and then someone else dumped a bucket of glitter on it? pixpix? Everyone knows you're not the one who put the glitter there, so it's fine, right? pixpix?

The Pokemon Anime was at it's best in XYZ, where it went full on Shonen.
Why can't we go back to that? Sun and Moon wasn't awful, but I liked the Pokemon anime better when it was full on shonen.

I think I'm gonna give the Fate series a try. granted idk where that one would begin...

If you want to avoid reading the various vns/light novels/manga:
Fate/Zero first, it introduces the mechanics of the series best of the anime imo. Be aware that this and the next series are mutual spoilers for each other
Then watch Unlimited Blade Works because it's deeply intwined with Zero
If you don't mind waiting for the next one, you can watch the Heaven's Feel movies as they come out, otherwise watch them all at once as soon as the last one is out
If you have the stomach for it, watch the Studio Deen adaptation of (mostly) the Fate route, but be aware that it's hot garbage compared to Zero/UBW
Watch Carnival Phantasm and the Emiya cooking show if you like comedy
Play Fate/Extra and if you like that, play the rest of the Extra series (you'll have to read a summary of CCC since there's no translation as far as I'm aware)
Watch the Apocrypha anime if you're enjoying the series. It's got a lot of fan favorite characters in it, though it's generally considered to be a weaker piece of media
Now is a good time to pick up Fate/Grand Order if you're willing to sell your soul. If you're attached to your soul, wait a couple more entries
If you liked Extra, watch the Last Encore anime, though be aware that it falls flat very quickly around episode 5
If you're in this deep, pick up Prisma Illya
If you didn't regret that, your soul is already bound for hell so you may as well play Grand Order
Once you've beaten all of part 1, you can check out the GO related anime

The Infamous Harry Potter Fanfiction known as "My Immortal" has a higher goodreads rating than Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Scarlet Letter". That fact is almost as funny as My Immortal itself.
One of these books is really poorly written, with overly long descriptions about peoples clothing, and the other is My Immortal.

When I was little, I used to watch a lot of PBS Kids.
A few of the shows that I watched were stuff like Dragon Tales, Maya and Miguel, Cyberchase, Barney and Friends, and Caillou.
I recently dug up a few of those shows and decided to see if they hold up.
Barney and Friends was something that I watched... I don't remember if I enjoyed It. All I know is that If you want a Big, Purple, Villain character in the next Smash Bros, then we have three options: Ridley, Thanos, and Barney. There were even a fair amount of Ballot requests for his inclusion, although it never really caught on as a meme like Shrek, Goku, and Spongebob. Oh, and reflecting on it now, the show is lifeless and boring.
Maya and Miguel is... ehh? The animation is good, and each episode had a conflict and resolution. The character design is a bit boring, but honestly, I don't remember this one all that well. It's not outright terrible like Barney, but I'm mixed on it.
Dragon Tales is decent, apart from taking the Giant Fire Breathing Dragons I thought Charizard, Dragonite, and Metal Gear RAY were and turning them into friendly, fun-loving dragons. It was a decent, feel-good type of show.
Caillou is infamous for being outright terrible, and I am not denying that. Even as a child I was bored and irritated at this show. Nothing actually happens, and I swear that Caillou's parents are high on drugs the entire time.
But my Favorite of these shows, and the only one that I tuned in regularly to watch, was Cyberchase. I adored this show. And looking at it now, It still holds up. The characters are likable, It manages to make mathematics seem interesting, and each episode had an actual plot. It's kind of like ReBoot for little kids.

On N: Unique is not the same as good, that's the epitome of how I feel about him. It's good that Pokemon tried something different, but there was just way too much focus on that singular aspect of his person and it wasn't really developed so much as repeated a bunch. I do appreciate that he comes back in BW2.
It's funny that you should mention Silver, because I sort wanted to bring him up in my initial response. I think he does sympathetic antagonist way better than N.

I really, really don't like N and I found BW's story to be severely overrated. N is just a really one-note character hidden behind a disguise of novelty.
Colress was fascinating, one of my favorite characters across the series, let alone antagonists. But he really did not get much time to shine and generally he felt less like an antagonist and more like a side quest.
Cyrus is still the best, far and away the most interesting antagonist in the series. (Well... I haven't played past XY so IDK how anything past that is, but I've not heard anyone lauding or deriding it so I assume there's nothing amazing.)
