tbh, Athos after a Filla's Might can crit OHKO anything, since that's (30 Mag + 10) x 3. Doesn't hurt that Athos is a god in flesh when you get him, and Canas is reliable the whole game.
And that would be why I never bothered to use Athos. It's just like "Oh, you put in all this effort to train up your magic users? Well here's a magic user that completely invalidates ALL of them."
I mean sure his non-magic stats aren't amazing, but still, magic is all you need for Luna.
