It looks like the 4th and 6th generations have won along with Dark and Electric types Oh hello Greninja. Over 40% of the type votes gave Dark and Electric while coming in a close 2nd with 30% of the votes were Ice and Flying. I didn't really care which generation I got. I was only curious with the typing. Anyways... I'm gonna try to keep it even and use 3 of each typing, maybe even 3 of each generation if it works out that way. I will probably begin this playthrough tomorrow sometime. In the meantime, any suggestions as to what Pokemon to shoot for would be helpful.

Like Hilda said, either choice you make will not impact the ending, just who you fight first. However, there is a choice later on in the game where you battle someone. Depending on the choice you make will determine whether or not you will keep battling them over and over again. Ultimately, there's no effect that occurs to the end game. Just different dialogue.

So after finishing up Episode 13, I really wanted to continue playing using different Pokemon. After looking at a few recent posts I got this idea to incorporate a Monogen run along with a semi-Monotype run. I'll call it a Generations Duotype for now. Come up with a better name if you'd like because I'll be the first to say that I'm not that creative when it comes to naming things. In this run I'll be allowed to use only 2 randomly chosen generations of Pokemon. Due to the severely limited options of Pokemon, I have decided to allow myself 2 randomly generated Pokemon types, which is why I called it a Duotype. I will be using Eagleby's interpretation of the Monogen challenge. All of those rules will be applied. I will let the poll run for a day or so before a decision is made. Please let me know if I need to clarify a few things, I'm running low on sleep and I probably could have missed something.

Also, dwebble wouldn't have been available at this point in the game even if you went back to a previous episode if it was obtainable near Cal. I didn't catch many of the struggle bugs. I had rock slide on my 2 leading Pokemon when I battled her. Cakewalk. Basically: Your Mono Team < Gym Leader's Mono Team in every way possible

She's got a Volbeat, Illumise, Yanmega, Scyther, Masquerain, and Wormadam iirc. She leads off with Masquerain and Illumise (whichever one isn't her ace). So the Intimidate right off the bat is pretty annoying, plus Illumise has Prankster + Confuse Ray. The first turn can really devastate your team if your not prepared.

I got it on a Sunday with clear weather in the afternoon (around 3 PMish). So the event isn't broken.

Good Rod is in the first house in Spinel Town. Super Rod isn't available in game yet.

Shell bell is already obtainable iirc. I would think it would be used similarly to shards, maybe for better moves from move tutors in a future episode.

I feel like Ame mentioned at one point that she wasn't the champion, but I could be completely wrong. I don't think it is anybody that we have faced yet. Anna is a great assumption that she is in the Elite 4. Blake and Elias are supposed member still. Laura was one until E13. I still think that Laura will be reinstated in the Elite 4 in a later episode.

Focus sash can't be bought to my knowledge, especially at the point in the game where you are at. Like sheep said, there is one in the underground stairway like your heading towards the room with only Unown in a rock.

The difficulty of all the gym leaders is real. I would have to say that Samson was the easiest for me. Every playthrough I've done has swept his team with no problem. The hardest was defintely Serra pre patch, but now I would have to go with Julia or Corey. Try not using a Pokemon with Lightningrod or Volt absorb as an ability against Julia. Also, the corrosion in Corey's gym is just hell. Pure hell

When I was in high school, I took AP calc A and B. Never took any placement exams for the sole fact that I wanted a GPA booster in college. Plus, its good to have things refreshed in your mind. I'm an engineering student in college and I have been required to take so many math classes (all of which are calculus based) that I was only 3 credits shy of a math minor. Why not right? Also, my high school didn't offer this as an AP credit, but I took 4 semesters of spanish and drafting, which I felt the last one should have been AP... oh well.

During the orphanage raid, her ace is supposedly Gothitelle, but I think that might just be a placeholder. Many people have speculated that she has a Jirachi since that is what her Pokedoll is. However, I'm pretty sure at one point these were stated to be false rumors.

When I was trying to get the glasses, I just went around and placed honey on every tree that I could. It passes by the in-game time quickly. Once you have placed all the honey, go back to where you started and there should definitely be a Heracross and Pinsir fighting each other. If you still can't get it to show up, post your save file and someone will be happy to look into it. '

Well I guess you've somewhat spoiled the fun... Sneasel isn't supposed to be accessed in episode 13 at all, but you can get him if you really wanted to and think about how to get there. I'm not saying anything other than that.

I found that the other day Vinny then I got a little greedy and got stuck somewhere I wasn't supposed to be.... Oops

I would think Volcarona would be his ace considering battling a Larvesta as an Ace is pretty pathetic. I find Bennet to be one of the easiest of any character in the game. I guarantee the next time we see Bennet he will be more of a threat.

Anna had a Gothitelle whenever the Orphanage was invaded, but I think Ame mentioned something about it being a placeholder for something else. I'm pretty sure she also said that Jirachi wasn't a thing. Kiki's signature is mentioned in the list above. It was Medicham. Also I don't even think Bennet has a Yanmega. Butterfree is definitely his ace.

There are really specific Pokemon that perform so well against each gym leader, so here's pretty much one of the best ways that I used to go about battling the gym leaders: Julia - Goldeen w/ Lightningrod or Pachirisu w/ Volt Absorb. Florinia - Gyardos Kriketune w/ Fury Cutter Corey - Gyarados Diggersby Shelly - She's a double battle now, so anything that can learn Rock Slide early enough. Kiki - Azumarill w/ Huge Power Aya - Malamar w/ Contrary Serra - Drought Vulpix was best prior to her being nerfed Noel - Aggron or Escavalier You should get the idea from there. Think about the type of Pokemon you are going against and figure out what can really stop them in their tracks.

This is pretty bad necroposting, and probably a topic that should be locked. The event itself takes awhile because you have to fight a ton of Heracross or Pinsir to clear obstacles throughout the forest. That said, the last battle in South Aventurine Forest that you come to will allow you to choose between Heracross or Pinsir. If you defeat Pinsir, Heracross will want to join you and vice versa.
