Catch a Karrablast in Chrysolia Forest. There's an in-game trade system with an NPC: trade your Karrablast with the NPC, which is in Spinel Town (6th gym) for a Shelmet, which will then evolve.

I don't know whether that's possible, but that'd be cool. Yes,but well worth it. Editing overworld sprites' colors isn't that hard, I think, as you can edit the entire sprite sheet at once. The ones with special patterns though, those will be harder.

I actually tried a dark color after trying this lighter one, but i decided not to use it because I liked the contrast of the white and the red so much. But I'll post it now anyway:

Catch a Dunsparce under the Grand Stairway, then go to the upper floor of the Research Centre on Route 1. There, you can trade it to a scientist for a Tyrogue, which evolves into Hitmonchan.

Basically this, and the trainers in the Grand Hall are also quite a nice source of XP and EVs.

These sprites are cool! Just to remind you, you don't have to use black outlines everywhere. It's sometimes best to just use a dark shade of the color next to it for the outline, such as pink at the hair in this picture above.

I really like those colors combined! One small nitpick: Serperior's top left red "curl" still has some blue in the tip. Here's Patrat colored like Disney's Timon! (Bouffalant as Pumbaa?)

Shiny Garchomp's blue and red parts of its body are slightly lighter, but it's no big difference.

The classic vulture looks great, but it's still too close to the normal Mandibuzz sprite, so my vote goes for the Blood one. The flower addition is fine, but I think you used too many flowers. I suggest you only keep those on the feet, neck and tail. It's just a bit overflowing now.

Making the full tabards and hats is indeed going to take a lot of work. These Johto versions are great, so we can use those instead! I'm working on a chicken version of Pidove (for the lols):

I like the Blood one most, or the Polar one, but the yellow on that one is slightly oversaturated, IMO.

This is already in the game. You can reduce EVs by buying special berries in the Department Store. They cost 1000 and reduce an EV by 10 points, and slightly raise happiness level.
