There's no Vs Seeker, but rematches through phone calls might be a thing in the future. In the meantime, there are trainers that you can keep battling inside the Grand Hall (Look for people close to the area where you received your first pokémon, to the right ->). Or if you are already in the Circus Area, you can battle one of the clowns near the "shards stand" too.

Seeing as Zorua can become other pokémons as well, I suggest you try looking around again. It might appears as a different pokémon in a different alley. Or it might also appears as a Zangoose somewhere else. As long as you can access all the alleyways, you'll eventually come across it again.

Interesting concept, but I'd be more interested if when you died, you lost your account (Loses name, items, stats, etc) and you had to create another one from scratch. Mankey can breed with Growlithe and pass Close Combat, that's why the first ones had it. Without going too much in-depth, since Etesian's guide is way better for this, you'd first need to breed your perfect Growlithe with another Growlithe/Ditto and get a female one, so you can breed with a Male Mankey that knows Close Combat, and get the move again. ...yeah, you're probably gonna waste more time with this. Some people will probably suggest you breed with a Destiny Knot in one of the pokémons, but there's only so much a Destiny Knot can do~
