I vote Tales of Destiny. I'm part way through the game and I'd be interested in hearing other people's opinions on it. Final Fantasy games tend to get lots of reviews as it is, and the other game is newer so it also has a better chance of getting reviews.

To take nature's blessings without offering your thanks could only bring misfortune upon them all. "Wait," Alleria said, walking to stand before the two deer. She knelt, careful not to get too close to any of the organs, and began to pray. She could not remember the exact words the elders would say, but she did as best as she could remember. "We thank you, princes of the forest, for offering your lives so that we may be fed. We thank you, Yathdiriel, for blessing us with them. May Drauthier watch over their spirits in the afterlife and may they harbor no ill will against us. Amen," she added at the end, mostly for the humans' benefit. She had heard it was common for them to end their prayers in such a manner. She got up and began picking up the the logs to put them in the fire pit. She worried about what Megaira was going to do with the bones of the deer; but as her presence had likely saved the lives of Rhea and herself, she didn't feel she could protest much. She had prayed for the bucks and that was all she could do for the moment. After the logs had been gathered in the pit, Alleria cast a simple fire spell to set them alight. She sat near the warmth of the fire, suddenly feeling very cold after all that had happened.

As of episode 10 there are no shops that sell them. However I've gotten a few over the course of the game so I know some do exist. (There's even an event where you can give a hyper potion to an injured skitty and then you can keep the skitty). If you have episode 9 or earlier still on your computer you can use a pokemon with the pickup ability (like pachirisu) to try and get hyper potions. Unfortunately pick up is broken in episode 10.

My pokemon are still in the mid 50 range despite beating episode 10, so these numbers may seem kind of low. hp: gyarados (198) atk: gyarados (189) def: samurott (128) spatk: alakazam (143) spdef: gyarados (131) speed: alakazam (138) Gyarados is my highest leveled Pokemon by 3 levels so I guess it's not that surprising...and Alakazam is my second highest so that makes sense...Samurott is 4th though (Camurupt is 3rd).

Hook up a Wobbuffet. It'll either the be the best idea ever or even worse than magickarp. I'm not sure which.

I would also the add the optional battle against El's snorlax to that post. Startegies for the garchomp would be fun too. For Noel if you have a Gyarados with moxie and are able to set up a dragon dance or two to outspeed him you should be able to sweep. As for Serra, get drought Ninetales and save yourself the headache I went through. Save Walrein for last. Against Aya I remember leading with Alakazam and emolga to kill of tentacruel before it could get an attack in. Save the Muk for last.

The moment when I finally beat Serra because for once none of my attacks missed and she didn't get any critical hits.

I used to have a pachirsu too, but I ended up picking emolga over it because emolga also had access to flying type moves. You should have seen an emolga early in the game and picked it up.

Yeah lots of my Pokemon have terrible natures. I'm not into competitive Pokemon so I didn't know any better. Lv 58 gyarados (moxie/lonely) bite, ice fang, aqua tail, dragon dance Lv 55 alakazam (synchronize/careful) psychic, shadow ball, recover, calm mind Lv 55 camurupt (solid rock/hardy) eruption, lava plume, earthquake, yawn Lv 53 samurott (shell armor/relaxed) aqua tail, water pulse, revenge, retaliate Lv 52 emolga (motor drive/adamant) spark, shock wave, discharge, acrobatics Lv 49 mawhile (hypper cutter/impish) faint attack, crunch, sucker punch, iron defense I'm thinking of training up Scrafty and taking out Samurott for it. I'm hoping Mawile will be more useful in 10.5 once it gets fairy type moves.

I know Mankey is also in the game as another fighting type you could use after evolving it into Primeape. I'd have to recommend Scrafty though. I beat Noel with double dragon dance moxie gyarados.

I had the same problem he did. First I didn't even get an email validation. Then I found the link to resend it, so I clicked that and got my email. Then I followed the link the email gave me and it said I already completed my part of the registration process and had to wait to be approved by an administrator. I waited over a week and wasn't approved, but I couldn't post or PM anyone for help. I got someone I know in real life who had an account on here that was made much earlier to ask someone to approve me. And that's how I'm able to post here now. So yeah this needs to be fixed. I've seen a couple people asking to be approved on status updates...wish I'd thought to try that when I was having my problem.

Could you list ALL the moves each Pokemon knows? I hated getting surprised when a Pokemon super effectived one of mine by using a move outside it's typing. This would just help everyone be 100% prepared.

Serra was the hardest gym leader for me too. I was stuck on her back in episode 9, and even though they said they slightly weakened her in episode 10 there was no difference that I could tell because she was still incredibly hard. I only managed to beat her in episode 10 because they fixed moxie. I've heard she's much easier if you have drought Ninetales, but if you don't have that she's almost impossible. You can get a Vulpix from the beauty salon if your lead Pokemon has high friendship. Train it up and get a fire stone to evlove and and you'll have Ninetales. Just make sure it had drought or try to breed for one that does. You can also get Macargo from the volcano area by Kiki's gym, it has double resistance to ice type moves. If you don't want to train up new Pokemon (I didn't either) you're going to be in for a long, difficult, rage filled battle. This is what I eventually beat her with after a billion tries and pure dumb luck where she didn't get any critical hits, none of my attacks missed, and my quick claw activated multiple times. Lv 50 Camerupt (lava plume, yawn, earthquake, flame burst) held quickclaw Lv 49 Gyarados (aqua tail, ice fang, bite, dragon dance) lv 50 during battle Lv 49 Alakazam (psychic, shadow ball, recover, calm mind) Lv 47 Samurott (aqua tail, water pulse, revenge, slash) held mystic water Lv 47 Emolga (acrobatics, spark, volt switch, shock wave) Lv 43 Mawile (iron defense, faint attack, crunch, baton bass) lv 44 during battle Gyarados received many moxies. Only gyarados, emolga (unused), and mawile (critical condition) were left alive.

Alleria was relived when the Megaira took over the fire pit. She decide to sit next to the human girl, where she had a good view of what Dok was doing so she could learn something about fire pit making. No way was she going to get exposed for being clueless at something everyone else probably knew how to do already. After a few minutes of silence Alleria heard a sound in the direction Nash and Crag had went, but the others didn't seem concerned so she let it pass. She figured Rhea would rush to their aid if something was wrong. Speaking of Rhea, Alleria thought the girl was probably bored just sitting there in silence. She decided to attempt to hold a conversation with her; after all where better to start than with the least threatening member of the group? Perhaps Megaira would join in as well and the three of them could have some female bonding time. The thought almost made her laugh. "Rhea," Alleria began, "have you known Nash long? How did the two of you become acquainted?" She figured it was as safe a topic as any. Besides, if nothing else it would help pass the time until the others returned.

If it makes you feel better I don't really know what I'm doing either. I feel like my character is too anti social and un-trusting, but I tried to make her reactions fit with the descriptions in the OP...and on top of it all I've never role-played before so I have no idea if I'm doing it right or not.
