  1. If that's the case, I'm not gonna use that anymore, but we'll see how it goes from here anyhow. By passive, I mean that my character is not the type to seek out attention by himself (which I was too late to realize by my last post on day 1 of the RP), so I attempted to interact with it a different way.
  2. Long story short, I needed a more passive way to interact with the RP.
  3. Thomas tried his best to focus on his hearing, when, at last, he heard the voice of someone who spoke reasonably. He did not know who the voice belonged to, but would try to follow it. He tried to get through the crowd that was now hectic and loud, but could not do so and ended up falling over, hitting his head on a table. His vision turned cloudy and could barely keep his consciousness up, but did his best to nonetheless.
  4. Thomas heard the crowd and its enthusiasm for rebelion. Everybody's in favor of a rebelion... perhaps... is this what the white-cloaked man wanted? Chaos? Violence? If so, then they're achieving that task greatly... I'm greatly in opposition to this, but I won't be listened to by this crowd, the mood is against it, and greatly. I need to look through this crowd for someone who shares my opinion, and knows how to treat it rationally...
  5. Thomas could no longer keep his silence. This is a trustworthy group of people... all of them are willing to do something about the inequality between gifted and others, and the doubt between the population... He got up from the bench and walked over to the group. "Hello. I have heard a good bit of your conversation. My name is... Far. That's what you should call me. I have kept myself hidden for the duration of this day, as I didn't want to fall to someone untrustworthy. Anyway, I like your ideals and goals, and I strive toward the same ones. Anyway, I hope we can keep what is going on somewhat confidential. We don't want any information leaked, or things may get out of hand."
  6. Well, it would be Pokemon. Any version on the Game Boy / DS consoles would do. Other than that, i'd probably live in the world of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. What do you mean, that's just Pokemon again? Anyway, if it'd be any other world, i'd probably choose to live in the world of Infamous.
  7. While Thomas was heading back to the Merchants Quarter, he heard rumours of what was now taking place at where he just left. He turned and set a course back. It was not a long walk, considering he stopped to buy some food on the way to the quarter. When hearing these rumours, he quickly finished his bread and made his way back. Upon arrival, he noticed a group of people discussing what must have been a result of the earlier golem incident. They were around a man who seemed to be shaking. He caught a glimpse of a golden light, and as a result of his surprise, didn't hear much of what followed. He sat down on a bench and decided to observe what would happen next...
  8. Well, I think i'll revoke what I said on my last post, as there are still many events on day 1.
  9. In Pokemon Red, I beat Gary just by using Venusaur. I was only 7 years old, too...
  10. I'll be posting by the time the meeting at that pub is underway.
  11. Thomas heard the woman's remarks. A meeting at the steelwood sword pub... who will attend and what will be discussed? I should go, if I want to get to the bottom of this. I'll have to find a way to attend the meeting in a way I won't stand out, so I can either blend in with the other members, or listen in from a hiding spot. Also, there's the chance that she is an accomplice... the second option would be the safest. My hearing ability will be useful for that, too. He quickly left the scene and headed back for the Merchant's Quarter.
  12. Alright, i'll be more careful. Thanks I fixed my roleplay post, so there shouldn't be any interference this time.
  13. Thomas backed away from the crowd, deep in thought. This was an irregular event that he has never seen before. Is there a particular reason to send the school in such disarray? And if so... why? Either way, the first step will be to find the man cloaked in white, and how he did so... he definitely did something when those flashes of light appeared, so it's most likely a trick of some sort. Either way, The Scales and The Shield will not like this. Thomas was a school student that had sided with The Scales without hesitation. However, he had kept his identity hidden with a mask when joining. His real identity was unknown to anyone this way, so he could walk around fairly freely as long as he didn't reveal much too personal information. Furthermore, because he didn't socialize, people didn't question him, which was useful. Of course, it's still too early to be careless, and he knew this.
  14. Anyway, I made some changes to the personality, mainly, so check out the new post
  15. I'll keep trying, and I do admit I contradict myself a lot in the post. And yes, it is indeed my first try.
  16. You make some good points, i'll fine-tune it. Thanks for the tip Also, he can't be a thief, since that would go against his sense of justice. Just to point that out.
  17. Name: Thomas Farland Gender: Male Age: 27 Race: Caucasian Appearance: 1.84 meters (or about 6 ft, if prefered), black hair, brown eyes, has a somewhat hunched back when standing Personality: Has a very strong sense of justice, sees only "good" and "bad people" and doesn't divide humans into any other categories. A calm thinker who tends to analyse all possible outcomes before making actions. Doesn't express emotion very often and is a bit of an introvert. Gift: The ability to manipulate sound waves. He is able to create a space where sound can be manipulated in many ways. One of them is being able to create a high-pitched tone in a small space that can leave the target dizzy and tired, thus allowing him to get close somewhat easily. The space is only about enough for 1 person to hear, and the tone lasts for about 10 seconds. Another is the ability to simulate the voice of someone they know, in order to trick an unsuspecting target, thus allowing manipulation. However, if used for more than 9 words, the rest becomes difficult to discern and cuts off, thus not being usable for long messages. Cannot be used on the same person if that person has been affected by that ability in the last 24 hours. His own hearing sense is powerful, and can hear even the slightest movements, breaths and other sounds, which can help him in many situations. He develops this ability at the age of 25. Finally, the last is emitting a powerful blast of sound that can deal significant damage to the target. This leaves them weakened and gives Thomas a good opportunity to strike. Furthermore, this ability can shatter certain solid objects. Backstory: At the age of 4, Thomas' mother was killed by an unknown criminal. He was raised by his father, who worked as a police officer. Because of his father catching criminals, his sense of justice developed at the age of 5. He dreamed of influencing justice throughout the city, and turning it into a better place. This idealology made him some enemies. There were rare times when he was scared or angry, and would emit a blast of sound when under these emotions, which he always kept inside him until he couldn't take it. However, this mysterious power didn't frighten him, it made him happy. It meant he could serve justice more efficiently. In his teenage years, he did independent research into crime in the city. He never published it, because he knew that he would then be easily targetable, and would probably be killed. He kept the research to himself, so that he could learn the patterns of the unjust and wrongdoers. He also chose to train himself to use long-ranged weapons, and has decent accuracy when throwing items, such as knives, and is capable of using the crossbow. He didn't want to rely on his powers too much, as he wasn't able to use them very well yet. At the age of 19, he got a somewhat good idea of what he could do, but was not any closer to gaining good control over his powers. He began to look up to The Scales, the goverment party that influenced law throughout the city. At the age of 27, his story begins... Additional Details: Very agile, can climb simple buildings and objects, and is capable of running fast. He learned this during his endeavors in elementary school against the bullies. Also has a strategic mind, but on rare occasions he overthinks certain situations, thus throwing himself into loops or doing something illogical. Also, he has low physical strength, and is not good with hand-to-hand combat. Because of this, he got his preference of long ranged weapons, and is able to use them effectively. He only enters close combat if absolutely necessary.
  18. I greatly support this, since I play on Showdown. It's a great simulator with few issues, so there should be no issues.
  19. Today I learned that Berlin is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Wall.
  20. Watch the new legendary be a Mega Rayquaza. Calling it, guys.
