Fairy Tail Episode 77: allow me to get my only complaint about Edolas out of the way, so that I can then enjoy the ride. I don't like how Mystogan ended up acting as a walking plot device in what was supposed to be his arc. Heck, he is overshadowed even by a pair of cats!

Fairy Tail Episode 76: Natsu was so damn cute as a kid, with those little fangs of his. Also, GILDARTS SHIFT!
-
Fairy Tail Episode 74: this is why I love this series. Even in a silly filler episode like this one, they managed to slip in a long-term foreshadowing of Gildarts, complete with Cana sighing upon hearing his name. This way, his debut doesn't feel like a complete ass pull, like it did in the manga.

Fairy Tail Episode 73: I'll bet you don't have many friends who would uproot a tree for you

Fairy Tail Episode 72: you know what? I found this non-canon mini arc to be much more enjoyable than the canon arc that preceeded it. Not that it was so hard to top the worst arc in the series. By the way, Daphne was cute as a kid: what dragon do you think she saw? Was it Acnologia? Or maybe Igneel?

Hiss, these statuses have only gotten to ep 72, so I am supposed to pretend not to know post-Tartaros stuff <.<
If you wanna talk spoilerese, then yes, Acnologia is the only dragon still around by that point... Except the dragon in the flashback does not look like Acnologia in the slightest. I guess this detail alone invalidates the whole mini arc canon-wise ;-;

Fairy Tail Episode 70: Gray willingly sides with the enemy and Natsu is captured. Good stuff for a filler arc.

Depends on how they are done and how frequently. Generalizing is bad, you know. I find Fairy Tail's fillers to be surprisingly interesting, as they often expand on aspects of the (VERY large) cast the manga glosses over. A far cry from the disaster that was the Naruto fillers between the first series and Shippuden...

Fairy Tail Episode 69: yup yup yup! Metamo-chan is the miraculous diet snack that will change your life!

Fairy Tail Episode 68: I would rant about how idiotic the whole "Caith Shelter was an illusion all along" plot point is, but frankly at this point I'm just glad this arc is over. It had started with some great potential, but some asinine decisions halfway through completely ruined it. This series deserves better and thankfully, that's exactly what it's going to gt from now on.

Fairy Tail Episode 67: ok wait a damn minute right here. We are now supposed to feel sorry for Jellal just because he is going to jail? Despite the fact that we SAW him commit the crimes he is being arrested for? Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, and I think his character was given an intriguing direction. But depicting the cops as villains (complete with ominous theme and Natsu yelling at them about, you guessed it, nakama power!) just because they are doing their job to arrest him...

Fairy Tail Episode 66: Natsu is losing. Natsu suddenly stands up and rambles about nakama power. Natsu wins. Little we knew, at the time, that EVERY SINGLE BATTLE IN THE SERIES would follow this format from this moment on.
