Fairy Tail Episode 174: ok so, it's the moment of truth, the battle of the dragon slayers. We get a very close battle, Sting thinks he has won, so we see a flashback of him treasuring his friendship with Lector. Then Natsu gets up, states his superior experience is going to make the difference, reveals that he saw through all of Sting's tactics, and proclaims that he is going to take on both Sting and Rogue by himself. Got everything? remember this when the next episode comes.

That "leaked list of Gen 6.5 Pokemon" you can find around the internet? Clearly a fake. No starters, no early rodents/birds, a cheap Volcanion recolor... Heck they even stole Calfin from us!

the reason im calling fakes as there are so many type combinations that are very uncommon or nonexisistant beforehand though nintendo can pull out several at once i doubt sevearly that they would use every type combinations that fans have been asking for like that they have a pattern with typing to and this is just overbord even for GF

Fairy Tail Episode 173. it is VERY telling, when an episode's title refers to an event that doesn't actually happen in that episode, but rather in the next one...
-
Fairy Tail Episode 172: this episode accomplished exactly nothing. Lucy angsting over losing to Minerva, a bunch of red herrings concerning the still unrevealed plot thread, and a random Ichiya moment. This following a string of 3 great episodes in a row: this is one of the reasons why I have mixed feelings towards this arc...
-
Fairy Tail Episode 171: why is Lucy always taking brutal beatings? Whenever a villains wants to send a message to Fairy Tail by beating one of our heroes to a pulp, they always go after her...
-
Fairy Tail Episode 170: this was a great episode. The bait and switch with Chelia being implied to have Zeref's power was clever (as it kept people guessing about the nature of God Slayers), Jellal's sub-plot was expanded on with a healthy dose of intrigue (Millianna and Kagura now suspect Erza of having lied to them!) and we even got a cute moment with Mavis. Great stuff.

Fairy Tail Episode 169: the episode where my issues with this arc begin. The main problem of this arc is that there are too many plot threads crammed into it, so in this episode they tried to solve the problem by literally removing one. Laxus unceremoniously wipes out Raven Tail, and they are never mentioned again...

Fairy Tail Episode 168: I was thinking... Isn't Millianna way too skinny for the kind of rack she has? Minerva gave me a similar impression, as well. That can't be good for their health...

Fairy Tail Episode 167: drunk Cana winning a power competition by blatantly cheating was hilarious. Well technically it didn't count as "cheating" because there isn't even a rule for what she did, but still...
-
Fairy Tail Episode 166: say what you will about Erza, but even the most tenacious haters must admit that, when she proclaimed that she would take on all 100 demons of Pandemonium in one go, it was a hell of a mark out moment if there ever was one.

Fairy Tail Episode 165: an intermission episode, but a solid one. Many subplots are advanced and expanded on. A detail I particularly liked: Lucy is used to being addressed formally, while Natsu is embarrassed by it. That's a nice touch to remind us of their different backgrounds.

Fairy Tail Episode 164: Kagura is a character I really like. She is strong, she has a simple yet relatable backstory, she is attractive but not fanservice-y, and her introduction immediately solidifies her as a big deal. I wish she had been given more screentime in subsequent arcs...

Fairy Tail Episode 162: sometimes this series reminds me why I like it. A side character like Elfman getting the first victory for the guild was the right decision, it contributed to the overall feeling of the series, that everyone is important...

Fairy Tail Episode 160: http://i.imgur.com/FPAJWM6.png Welp, I guess ghosts have this kind of needs too.
-
Fairy Tail Episode 159: I like Flare. She's cowardly, unscrupulous, and has a crazy streak. It's almost a pity that they humanized her almost immediately, she made for a very good heel, of the "love to hate" kind.

Fairy Tail Episode 158: http://i.imgur.com/8URYJyX.jpg This has got to be the best way to end a recap ever...
-
Fairy Tail Episode 157: I love this episode. The teams being introduced, the hype being built, Mavis being the most adorable ghost ever... My only qualm is that the MC is not voiced by Tony Schiavone. Come on, it is a fighting tournament that includes a fan-favorite named Sting! It was right there!

My issue with Sun/Moon is that I would have to buy a Nintendo handheld to play them. But outside of Pokemon, there are't many Nintendo games I am interested in. And there is also the fact that Pokemon games have little to no replay value...

I think they have potential to have some replay value (you can get different Pokemon, maybe choose different story paths, try out sidequests) but they don't really pull that off well. Just as an example, some Pokemon that appear late in the game are almost never used: for example, Ursaring in HGSS or Braviary in White.

So back when Redemption first started, I stated that I liked the chances of these people: Dark Desire, Caradius, Fezzdog, Flynn Last Repel, Shadow Star, Sir Bagel. How are they doing these days? Haven't followed the league at all lately...
