Rein stretched herself over her desk, yawning silently. She noted her fellow Laylite's late declaration with disinterest. It was not her place to question others' personal decision. Also she just could not really bring herself to care. She pulled a thick novel from her bag - a small pastel green backpack with a prominent sequined red-and-pink heart on the front - and flipped to a bookmarked page, starting to read.

You had me at "magical girls" As everyone knows, I have time constraints, so participation is an issue. But MAGICAL GIRLS THOUGH. I'll give it a shot, and if I can't keep up, I'll show myself the door QQ (Also, since we're talking about the Myers-Brigs test, last time I checked I was an ISFJ, which apparently means I'm well-suited to leading a cult. Go figure.) Forum Name: Acquiescence / Code: PIRULUK Character Name: Purity Revynjahlsmyrl (Reh-vin-yaz-merl), Alias "Rein" Age: 15 Personality: The first thing to note about Purity is that she hates her name. She hates it to the point where she refuses to go by it, always introducing herself as "Rein" instead. Her greatest desire in life is to get to whatever age marks the legal limit for applying for a legislative name change. Anyone who calls her by her name is likely to end up getting hit in some way. On the whole, Purity is a very quiet, reserved, extremely violent girl. Violence is often her first answer to any problem. It is also often her second, third, fourth and fifth answer. She rarely speaks, and tends to keep to herself. If you slight her, she will not say anything, and will probably not show any form of reaction other than silently attacking you viciously. Her personality has led to her being mostly isolated from others around her, and she doesn't really mind - it takes effort to constantly punch people who annoy you after all. However, despite her violent tendencies, she is not an impulsive person. Purity is more than capable of reasoned thinking and rational decision making - it's just too much trouble most of the time. Appearance: Purity is slightly shorter than the average 15-year-old. She has shoulder-length silver hair that she pulls back in a ponytail, holding it in place with a cyan heart-shaped hairclip. Her skin falls on the paler side, and her eyes are a vivid green. This combination of features, along with her usual stoic expression, has led some to remark that her face has a doll-like quality, a remark which Purity neither appreciates nor takes offense at. Clothing-wise, She normally dresses casually, as it's too much trouble to put on anything more elaborate. She is most frequently seen in a simple blouse-skirt combo, with the occasional baby blue cardigan. The colors she wears around varies greatly, as she mostly just grabs whatever's closest to her. However, if her parents are around, they have an annoying tendency to put her into elaborate dresses in the Lolita fashion, which Purity harbors a strong distaste for. Line of Belief: Practicing Laylite Modifier: Elemental

Note I will be ded for the next 3 days or so. Either bunny Roose if necessary, or assume she's in a quiet, brooding, unresponsive mood.

[WIP/Draft/CW: Fanfic]Harry Potter Fanfiction Help Needed!
Code: PIRULUK replied to elfen's topic in Creative Works
Um. Yes. Um. Hmmm. The first thing I'm going to note is that this story does not need to be in the HP universe at all. You're not using any of the systems elucidated in the reference work in your plot, nor do any of the plot elements seem particularly relevant to your intended plotline. The second thing I'm going to note is the insane amount of trainwreck potential. You introduce this new "Mother Magic" character, what are her motivations? What is she? How and why does she exist? How does her existence tie into the general scheme of things? What is the "Conflux Realm"? How/Why does it exist? Was it artificially created? What are the political relationships between this realm and "everywhere else"? The mother of your OC basically overdoses the father with enough love potion to force him to fall in love, then to father a child, but he still has enough self-awareness to kill her to avoid social stigma? How and why does your OC look exactly like Harry? Genetically speaking, that's almost infinitely improbable. And you classify "dark magic" as magic that is driven by instinct, but the source material clearly identifies the Cruciatus Curse as a Dark Magic, which requires imagination and concentration, along with the measured intent of inflicting pain, to be effective. Furthermore, you're fundamentally ignoring the source material's conceptualisation of magic. You're creating a system where magic flows independently and in accordance to personality and mindset, where focusing on studying a subset of magic causes a person's aptitude for magic to favor that branch of magic. However, in the source material, you can see through the study methods and practices at all the magical academies that specialisation in a branch of magic does not enhance your innate proficiency for that branch, just like how specialising in say, neurology, does not enhance your inherent proficiency in terms of the workings of the brain. It adds on to your learned proficiencies, and there is no logical basis to suggest that learned proficiencies can be inherited. Simply put, you create a metric ton of questions and holes, and if those aren't properly filled in by the conclusion of the story, the fic is going to fall apart faster than a decade-old rickshaw with rotting wood and missing screws in a hurricane. -
Of course, he's FAAAAABULOUS~ I like how you decided to illustrate the eccentricity of his character btw, it's beautifully done: appropriately overt without becoming unnecessarily annoying.

Roose kept quiet throughout. She was trained for combat, not stealth. She would be of no help on a scouting mission. She did, however, have to stifle a laugh at Gradun's oblivious stubbornness. Here was a man who did as he pleased, conventions be damned. He was completely and truly himself, a being who excused himself from the scrutiny of others. Roose was a little jealous. She no longer remembered how to be herself, or what "being herself" entailed. Her ears twitched. Her robes rubbed uncomfortably on their sharp tips. Roose bit her lip in discomfort.

Roose bit her lip. The old man's brief was incredibly vague and uninformative. No information on enemy troop strength, appearance, species, quality or even origin. She did not like rushing into battle thusly blinded. Shifting her hood to further shadow her features, she calmed herself and asked a question. " You say that we will be rewarded. On behalf of the Order, I would like to inquire as to what form of renumeration you are offering. Please understand, while it pains us to see lives in danger, as a knightly order answering to both the king and our own deity, we must extract payment as a means to justify our involvement in situations outside of our inherent jurisdiction. If I deem the payment to be inadequate, I'm afraid I will have to, as acting representative of the Order, withdraw our participation in this campaign." Under the table, Roose's knuckles whitened from being clenched tight. A part of her hated what she was doing, but it was restrained by the disciplined, professional side of her. Rules were rules and protocol had to be followed, no matter how repugnant.

FYI Since I'm typing from a phone, most of my responses will be short and erratic QQ Also for Roose I'm going in a very different direction than I normally go for my female characters. We shall see where this leads :x

Roose Brightborn stepped up to the large oaken doors, clutching her plain white robe closer around her to ease her nerves. The large temple before her stood in stark contrast to the otherwise humble surroundings of the town of Winter's Bite, its ornately decorated thoroughfare backlit by rows of blazing torches, casting a gentle shadow on those who sought refuge beyond it. Roose muttered a silent prayer to Bartimier, imploring his protection, and adjusted her hood, ensuring it concealed her distinctly pointed ears. She took a deep breath and collected herself, then set her eyes and walked through the great doors. The portal opened into a longer corridor, dotted with doors of various colours and shapes. Of all these, however, only one was lit with the silent sheen of firelight. It was towards this door that she ventured. As she opened the door, a large table appeared before her. Upon it was set plates of food, small in quantity, similar in quality to what was regularly served in the mess hall at the Order. All in all, not an extravagant meal in any sense, but one she was very familiar with. At the head of the table, a single human male, clearly older than Roose, sat, alongside an older man. She clenched her fists to prevent them from instinctly cupping her ears, and spoke in as much of a neutral, confident voice as she could: "Greetings. I am Roose Brightborn, of the Order of Bartimier. I have arrived as a representative of the Order in response to your plea for help." She reached into a small satchel bag under her cloak and removed a stack of parchments, placing them carefully on the table before her. "This is the proof of my identity, as well as the record of the Order's favorable response to your request." She felt a desperate urge to ask permission to take a seat, but she restrained her intuitive reactions in favor of what she was taught - asserting her stance as an independant, autonomous entity from her client. She rolled up the papers and drew a seat along in the middle seat along the left side of the rectangular table - enough to indicate she was not subject to the man sitting at the table's head, but not enough to be seen as a claim or superiority. Her feet quivered in her warm fur boots as she waited for either of the humans to speak up. Her face, however, remained impassive, a mask created through years of training and practice. She placed her hands firmly on the table, not moving an inch to remove her hood.

The "accurate" way is just a transliteration of your phonetic name into katakana. The fun way is not only inaccurate but also wrong; Japanese has no kana for anything starting with L,neither is there a kana for "tu", and "ari"/"rin" are two characters each. The best way to get a japanese translation of your name is to find out the meaning of your name, translate it into Japanese, then work out a kanji for it. Tl;dr Whimsicotts
