  1. I'll give you a breakdown of what happened/we learned about each character this episode. Tengan - Tengan entrusted his hope to Mitarai, using this killing game as a way to force his hand into broadcasting his hope video to the world. Neither he nor Mitarai are aware of the repercussions of doing so. Tengan did not intend for Mitarai to participate in this killing game. To make sure it still continued until Mitarai would be effectively forced to share his video, he made sure that Mitarai's NG code was to make use of his talent, which includes showing people his hope brainwash video. Mitarai - Mitarai is incredibly resentful of the fact that he has never done anything good for the side of hope and has only contributed to despair. This anger has boiled up inside of him, and now that he has his chance to spread hope. He wants to ensure that no one can stop him, and that he gets his moment to shine. To accomplish this, he broadcasts this brainwash hope video to all the soldiers entering the site of the killing game and to Asahina in order to prevent Naegi and Munakata from interfering. He truly believes that what he is doing is right though, being completely unaware of the fact that brainwashing to bring hope is just as malevolent as brainwashing for despair. Asahina - Home girl got the short end of the stick once again. Got brainwashed by Mitarai to restrain Naegi until she was brought to her senses. Not even a few minutes later she gets shot in the leg and begs Naegi to go stop Mitarai while she's left bleeding. Munakata - My dude saved Naegi and Asahina before they were almost killed, and goes on to create a diversion to stop the soldiers from getting to Naegi and Asahina. Naegi - Dude's gotta do what Naegi does best, be our protagonist. He's trying his best to get to Mitarai to talk some sense into him and stop him from what he's doing. Gets cornered by soldiers. Hagakure - Yes, you heard me. He did something. He dove in front of Naegi without any shots being fired and immediately surrendered, and created a diversion for... Togami - Mr. Affluence appears with his secret service dudes and smacks the shit out of the soldiers attacking Naegi. Chisa - Girl is chilling in the afterlife theater watching this all go down. She's in her normal mindset here, and tells Junko after her speech that hope is just about to begin. Junko - Shows up to explain how Chisa lead Munakata down this radical path to eliminate despair and was responsible for the divide between Tengan and Munakata as a result. She also summarizes Tengan's reasoning for starting the killing game. Komaru and Toko and Monaca - girls got brainwashed from Mitarai's broadcast Hajizuru - My dude killed a bunch of people and we saw his silhouette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Juzo - unintentionally fucked it all up by disabling the wristbands whoops
  2. Y'know, I trusted Ryota for so long thinking he could do no wrong until now, so now I'm going to appreciate how cute Hajime was early in despair arc.
  3. Unless I'm missing something, Gozu's death had nothing to do with them living or dying.
  4. Well, for that to line up with my thought that it symbolizes the survivors of the killing game, I guess that 4th petal would have to represent Makoto.
  5. So I don't know if I'm just stretching things at this point, but while watching the end credits for mirai-hen, I guess I found some symbolic meaning. The person holding the flower is quite obviously Makoto. Throughout the end credits, he's seen bending over, being buried by petals. I assume these petals represent the lives of all those that Makoto was unable to save (All of his classmates in his first killing game, all the members of the FF that died in this killing game, and maybe, if we're stretching it, the people that lost their brain function in the Neo World Program.) We all know Makoto is easily weighed down by the death of his friends as represented through his thoughts during the suicide brainwash video. At the end, he begins to rise again from the petals that were covering him and the flower in his hand shows 5 large petals and 3 small petals. Perhaps this entire time, the flower was foreshadowing the survivors at the end of DR3. The five large petals represent the five remnants of despair that Makoto presumably restored hope to through use of the Neo World Program and the three smaller petals represent the remaining three survivors of the killing game (they're smaller as Makoto did not directly help them, he only worked alongside them to reach the end).
  6. It might not have said you got the mystery gift with the notification, but it's likely you still got it. Good luck figuring out which skin it was.
  7. Not by TM, which you could probably gather from looking in the guide.
  8. When you bout to decay so you pull out the annie and hit em with those godly roams
  9. There's not a single reliable source that says that Dratini will be obtained in that way if at all.
  10. Come Tuesday, it's likely we will be geting our song for worlds, which seems to be from Zedd and called "Ignite," based on the recent teaser. Edit: Zedd just confirmed it
  11. i'd rather chiaki die on the side of hope than live on the side of despair.
  12. It's heavily implied in the scene following the ending credits of the episode.
  13. Thank you guys, I really appreciate it! That was a horrible time, we don't talk about that.
  14. Oh yes Steven appearing would make me so happy.
  15. welcome to the numbers thread I will be your despair guide for the day back to 1 you go
  16. To be honest I liked Juzo because he was pretty damn attractive at first. My opinions shook when I saw that he was the inspiration for Hajime to go through the with the Izuru Kamakura project. But as soon as they started revealing how much of an outsider he was in his own group and they were dropping hints about him loving Kyosuke, I hopped back on the Juzo fan train. Though Ryota is still my favorite. Also edit your post next time Pbood. If that was a double, I'd be merging your post, but there'd be a warning slapped on there too.
