As he spoke, the wind around the ships began to pick up slightly, with the clouds getting ever darker. Gonzap could only respond with a deep laugh. "Looks like the winds are howling boy. Only one of us is going to get out alive. And I'm gonna make sure it ain't you," Gonzap roared, readying his axe. "Come on you lot, try and take me on!" [Ally Phase] Madante could only sigh at the apparent insanity of the pirate captain before him. Clearly he wouldn't quit until he died, even in these circumstances. "You are quite the fool Gonzap. You should have quit while you still had some of your men alive. Instead you decided to make them fight a hopeless battle. As members of the Royal Guard, we will put an end to this madness." Idei rode towards the mercenary, firing two shots at him. The mercenary, having been preoccupied with Belros just a moment ago, did not notice and paid for his inattention with his life. Cheat Sheet:

Darius' magic strikes true, engulfing the mercenary in darkness, bringing him down to his knees. Belros, having grown accustomed to the sword he used a moment before, fumbled with his first knife strike, completely missing his target. His second strike was more refined however, striking the mercenary. Cheat Sheet:

I guess I'll just have to treat them to my axe," Gonzap says with a smirk, readying his axe for the impending fight. Do not fret Karik, we shall finish this soon and make sure that you are fully patched up. Though it seems that our healer did quite a nice job herself. And you too Cadence, I've not seen anything quite like the aid you gave Karik. Perhaps you should teach me after this fight is won," he says before moving towards the last pair of Gonzap's men. Rayne's first attack catches the mercenary off guard, pegging him in the hip. Suddenly in a moment of focus, Rayne fires off yet another javelin before the mercenary could even respond to the first. Unable to do anything, the second javelin strikes him dead, and he collapses on the deck. Cheat Sheet

The archer's boasting was short-lived as Darius enveloped him with dark magic, quickly finishing off the already wounded man. Cheat Sheet

Eon "Yes, I believe that takes care of all my business. Let us go and wait for Leon and the others," Eon answered, not being able to think of any other things he would care to do at that point.

Inspired by his nearby commander, Belros manages to get off two successive strikes onto the archer. Karik's weaker strike hit his mark, bringing the archer to his knees. However, still with some life in him, the archer aims a shot at Karik. "Ye think you can just turn traitor and waltz off do ya? Let me show you what happens to traitors," he cries out before leaping up and firing a shot right at Karik. Unable to dodge, the arrow pierces right through his chest, forcing Karik down, nearing death. "Let this be a lesson to all traitors. You only leave when you're dead. Hope you don't make the same mistake in your next life," he snarls out, spitting in the downed pirate's direction.

Eon "Well done you two," Eon states in his own voice. "That wasn't nearly as hard as it seemed was it?" he asked the girl. Though really, he had expected this to be slightly harder for himself also. He was glad to see that Bridgett wasn't the type of person who constantly tried to back out of things. Dealing with individuals like those, while not impossible, certainly took a toll.

Eon "Weren't you supposed to be buying something?" Eon brodcasted in a loud, stern voice. "You know that I certainly can't go in the store that easily, which is why I need you to go for me. Now go back to the counter and try and talk to the shopkeeper. Or if you can't, have Morning Arrows do it. It seemed to be capable of interacting with others, so use that if you must."

Eon "Accessories or consumables would be the most likely bet. I doubt they have practical weapons or armor for me," Eon responded. He didn't think that the armor this place would have would actually fit him, and accessories tended to have some magical properties...usually. This world may be different, but even then they could be used for research or something.

Mercenary 5 moves to Q23 [Ally Phase] "We've almost finished dealing with these people. Just a bit more and we can get back on track. Hopefully soon, the clouds seem to be rolling in," Madante notes as he rushes towards the archer. Eon "I'm not too surprised. Most people don't expect a dragon's voice to suddenly pop into their head. Though like this, you can let me know what's in the shop, and I can see if anything in there is something I may want for one reason or another," Eon thought to her, glad that she was apparently familiar with telepathy. This made a few things much easier. "Now then, when you go into the shop, I'll be in front of the door so you don't run out before you actually get the supplies you need. And if you have any questions, just communicate with me through the link and I'll try to answer them," Eon finished, hoping that the girl would be ready to go into the shop and actually finish a purchase.

Eon "Hmm, I'm not quite sure. I haven't been able to go into any of the shops for obvious reasons, so I couldn't say what specifically I want. That being said, I think I have a solution to that," Eon finishes, before making another telepathic link, this time towards Bridgett. He was starting to get back into the groove of using his telepathic abilities now, considering his earlier interactions with Aurora and It that Embraces. "Just to make sure, you can hear me like this correct?" Eon thought to the girl, making sure that the telepathic link worked before sending her into the store.

Eon "Well that's certainly an idea. It will certainly be able to keep her from leaving until she actually manages to complete the purchase. And who knows, maybe it will make future shopping trips easier for her in the future," Eon replied, personally amused at the idea proposed. Strange yes, but potentially effective. "Provided you're fine with it Bridgett, we could try out that idea. I'm not doing anything too important right now, and I'm sure it will work out for both of us."

Eon "I see. Morning Arrows must be very important to you," Eon said, slightly curious about the origins and design of the device. With that, he takes another look at the shop. "You know, I was going to see if I could pick up something, but thinking on it, I'm not particularly sure of how well received I would be. And I'd rather not cause too much of a scene unnecessarily. I'm unsure if extra motivation would be beneficial, but perhaps you also picking up something for me may somehow let you complete your transaction without running away beforehand. What do you think of that idea?" Eon asked the girl. He had no idea how well this plan would work, or even if she would agree to the idea at all. Nevertheless, it was worth a shot at the very least.

Eon "Oh. I see," Eon remarked, chuckling a bit. It seems he had come across a shy one. As amusing as this situation could be, he figured that trying to help her manage this would eventually be beneficial to everyone...somehow. "Is there any particular reason you get scared? Is the shopkeeper truly that intimidating, or do you just not know what to say?" Eon decided to inquire, thinking of potential ways to manage this situation all the while.

Eon "Indeed it is," Eon remarked, glad that introductions managed to work out relatively smoothly. Though, taking a look at the woman, he noticed that she didn't actually have anything from the shop. "Oh, did I hold up your shopping at all, or did you already finish looking through the store," he inquired, wondering if he may have come to her right as she was beginning to shop around.

Eon "Potions...maybe they'll work. I've seen some types of them work on far stranger creatures than myself, so they'll probably work out," Eon remarked, hoping that the girl wouldn't be too terrified of him. Speaking of which... "It occurs to me that I don't actually know your name. I suppose introductions never got that far in, but that's a moot point now. I am Eon, you?" Eon asked, hoping to learn about who the person he ran into was.

Eon With Hellfire Knight having gone to the meeting place, Eon decided to figure out if any of those potions were still around. He wasn't sure how useful they would be for him, but maybe they would have some effectiveness. It would certainly be convenient. As he hovers above the streets, he sees someone clearly distressed, and a shop nearby. Hoping that the person has any goods from the shop, Eon decided to ask about the wares in the shop. He could try going into the shop of course, but that would likely cause more problems than solutions. "Excuse me miss, you wouldn't happen to know what the nearby shops offer would you?"

Eon "So...in essence favor is a force acquired through victory and socialization to an extent, and is used to power your realm's technology? Hmm, sounds rather interesting. I don't think my realm has any real equivalent, or at least not one that I've found yet," Eon says, trying to both confirm his understanding of this favor system and think of any civilizations that he knew that were either highly advanced in technology or used techmaturgy in any way. "Then again, as it stands right now, my realm only had about 3 or 4 civilizations that were incredibly advanced in technology. And if memory serves, one of them may or may not be on the verge of self-destruction. I suppose I'll get to see how that goes in a few millennia...provided the whole planet doesn't go up in smoke. Technology-based worlds at that stage have a tendency to make quite a scene when they fall apart. But again, I'm rambling, and potentially boring you with nonsense. I do thank you for your description though. I may have to look into it at some future point if I ever get the opportunity," Eon states, writing a few notes in his book regarding his newly acquired information on favor.

Eon "It's fine, though I am curious about that bit on technology running on favor. I don't believe I've heard of any system of technology referred to as such," Eon mentioned, bringing out his book and flipping through the pages, trying to see if any reference to "favor" was present in the context described. Upon finding no particular mentions of it, Eon decided to learn more about the technology this person used. "Well, seeing as how it isn't referenced at all in here, I suppose I can talk with you about it, provided you're willing. What was the technology on your realm like, and how did it interact with this favor that you mentioned?"

Eon Eon was somewhat confused as to the sudden burst of static that occurred before the Hellfire Knight started actually speaking. He wondered whether or not they were more mechanical overall for a moment, but decided that it wasn't a pressing issue. He did however catch a little bit of their questioning of what he was, which was understandable. "Yes, finding things that actually work for me can be quite a hassle. And yes, I am a dragon, though I apparently don't resemble the normal dragons this crowd seems to be used to. Then again, even in my realm space dragons weren't the most common of sights. Though that's another story for another time. What about yourself? What was your realm of origin like?" Eon decided to ask, curious about the individual before him.
