  1. After Jacob and Slade's battle I'm going to move forward to Devin's house. And I'm really tempted to throw all the characters out of their comfort zone on that trip xD
  2. DarkLight, EXLink, Jory and Stratos Lana shook Slade’s hand while avoiding eye contact. She fixated on her shoes and didn’t see Mareek joining them. She jumped a little when she heard his voice seemingly out of nowhere. In the meantime the Eevee woke up and studied everyone gathered. When it didn’t see its trainer, it jumped of the Rhyhorn and started sniffing at the closest one she wasn’t familiar with; Danielle.
  3. Lana is comfortable around him. She's more open to him, Claude and Danielle, knows Evan and Alvin a little bit, but she's still nervous around the others. (Which I highly suggest they change)
  4. I thought only Electric types since she doesn't seem to mind Doux. And no need to explain yourself. I'm just saying I'm on Tacos side with this one.
  5. I'm going to resist making jokes about this. Also: Danielle is scared of fairies??? Where did I put that Cleffa? And Danielle x Slade ain't gonna happen. Phoebe will Hydro Pump Slade through the walls.
  6. There are many, many other possibilities of messing around with Robert. Hell, depending on which group he joins he'll get full 'attention'
  7. DarkLight, EXLink and Jory “I-I’m Lana,” she said uncertain. “I-I know who you are. We share gym class and Dragon Types…” Her face turned red when Slade suddenly let out his hand. She was unsure what to do and looked at Danielle for help.
  8. DarkLight Lana looked at the Pokédex. “It looks like you really thought things through, didn’t you? And if you decided on it as well I think you know the answer already…” she mused thinking back to Danielle’s story. “I thought that Dedenne’s were responsible and this one protected Avis,” she said pointing to the Pokédex, not realizing they arrived at the training grounds.
  9. Just to be clear: the groups in a cottage aren't the same as when the PC's split up to follow a teacher. It all depends on which teacher you follow first and that's going to be your group for 2 days.
  10. I wouldn't dare. I'm a very serious host you know? Oh and she wouldn't mind huh? Maybe I should throw her in with Evan, Henry and Mareek.
  11. What did you think of this Chapter? Did you enjoy it? Flora would’ve kicked everyone’s ass if she participated, just saying. I enjoyed it but it could some more activity again. Following up on that question; What do you think of this RP as a whole? It’s the first one I joined and still one of my favorites. On to my writing in this, what do you think about it? Where could I possibly improve? I think you’re a better writer than me, so I can’t really give you any advice on this one. Which Host Controlled Character's/ NPCs feel real to you? Which could use some improvement? Erick really surprised me this chapter. He was way harsher on his Pokémon than I remember, but it makes sense. As for the improvement: Surge could use some more spotlight and be around more often. Who is you favorite NPC? Why? Explain. Clemont; nice and powerful, always around when he needs to be. He also gives that authority feeling. Who's your least favorite NPC? Why? Explain. Some of them could use some more spotlight. For this reason alone I have to say Surge. I want to see more / get to know him better. What do you think of Professor Rowan and Oak? Should I try to fit them to the mold they're portrayed as in the games a bit more, or should we just get a bit more creative? I can’t say much about them since they aren’t around that often. It would be nice to be a bit more creative with them. What do you think of the battles that have been had so far? Do you disagree with the concept of Soldiers having no idea how to really bring out a GAOs potential in a fight at this point? Yes. It fits the world since Pokémon (or GAOs) are new due to the virus. It would be strange if people already figured out how to bring out the full potential of a GAO this early. How would you feel If I told you that the rules of conventional battling for the most part aren't going to mean anything in this RP? Do you feel this adds to the realism of the story? Should one try to fight fairly, even in war? It fits. I seriously doubt enemies are going to fight fair and it adds a little extra. What do you think of the integration between the real world and the concept of pokemon done in this RP? Where can it be improved in order to make things more real? I don’t know. I can see people panic if animals suddenly transform in powerhouses and others that abuse it. Aside from that I can’t think of anything at this point. How would you feel if I tell you that a certain NPC/ HCG is eventually going to be forced to commit war crimes for their country? I shouldn’t be surprised things like this might happen, but I hope it’s not going to be Surge. And don’t punish / kill the guy or feel the wraith of Logan (even though he looks like the best candidate right now) Would you like seeing a bit of information about the world as a whole in the OP? I thought you would reveal that in coming chapters. I was expecting some future missions outside of America or something. But in general: yes. I want to know more of this world than the small portion that’s going on in Fort Bexly. What did you think of the Mini-Boss battle for this Chapter? Good idea to not do big boss battles every chapter. Facing multiple weaker opponents at the same time gives everyone some action. This also increases the teamwork with everyone in the squad. What do you think of me as Host of this? Be honest, by now, I expect nothing less from you guys. You have some great ideas to keep this going but I feel like this one doesn’t receive as much attention as PSS anymore. Is there something else you think can be improved upon that isn't mentioned in these questions? I can’t think of anything.
  12. DarkLight Lana thought for a second while patting her Nidorina. “I don’t know yet. If it’s going to be a dragon I think I’ll go for a Flygon… but I really want a Shellos at some point. Gastrodon is a great help dealing with our water weakness,” she said in a soft voice. Even though she was used to Danielle by now, she never really increased her volume when speaking. “What about you? Did you already decide?”
  13. It would be more fun to put Kenny with those 3. And maybe, just maybe, there might be one place short for 1 guy and maybe, just maybe, said guy (Alvin) has to share a room with Danielle...
  14. Notus “Didn’t Professor Cadmus say there was a wet area or something? I bet you can find some water types there… I mean it’s a mountain filled with Pokémon and they have to drink eventually right?” Evan replied. “Anyway, what kind of Pokémon do you want?” DarkLight Lana looked up. “Are you going to train?” she asked even though she knew the answer already. She was curious why Danielle was spending so much time with Jacob and Flare but didn’t want to insinuate anything. “I guess I’ll come… Rhy?” The Rhyhorn immediately responded, like usual, and joined its trainer. The Eevee was still sleeping on its back. (You can let her follow you to the training grounds)
  15. 1. Henry isn't doing any better. 2. She's supposed to be like that. (You're perfect the way you are, Lana! Don't let anyone tell you any different!) 3. Danielle is mean. First bullying Alvin and now ignoring Lana... Who's next? Oh and I'm really tempted to step in and put Henry, Evan, Mareek and Alvin / Kenny together during the trip xD
  16. Poor Lana. Ignored by her roommate AND locked inside... @Dobby: It's fine in Douxs case. But Duskull already knows WoW so that's why I'm not allowing it to know 3 support moves.
  17. Alvin started packing. He really wasn’t looking forward to go on a dragon excursion. A bug excursion, now that would be interesting! But he kept an open mind about it since Professor Cadmus mentioned they could catch other types as well. And who knows; he might find an interesting bug type he hadn’t really studied yet. In the past six weeks Alvin mostly ignored Claude and spent his time in the forest studying the local bug Pokémon, except at night. The image of the Trevenant was still clear in his head and he didn’t want to run into him again. He didn’t really bother getting to know others either. Kenny, Danielle and Henry were still annoying as hell, even more so then Claude, and Evan ignored him most of the time. Not that he complained after what happened the first day. The only one he seemed to get along with was Lana. She didn’t really bother with bug types, which Alvin found a waste of potential, but she didn’t judge him either. He threw his luggage on his bed and sat beside it. His Combee and Dwebble were both sleeping. Shellie, the Dwebble, proved to be more than capable at battling. Queen on the other hand struggled a little against types she had a disadvantage against. But Alvin knew he had to be patient. Soon she would evolve into a powerful Vespiquen. **************** Lana opened her dorm room. Rhy immediately passed her and fell asleep in the middle of the small living room. An Eevee was sleeping on his back but Rhy didn’t seem to care. For all Lana knew Rhy wasn’t even aware the Eevee was there. Again. She knew the Eevee belonged to Evan and disappeared from its trainer from time to time and got used to it. Speaking about Evan; she still felt a bit nervous around him. The two had spoken to each other before, because Eevee used Rhy as a pillow, but she never got him to open up. It was completely different than talking to Danielle, Claude or Mareek. She was used to talking to them by now and felt comfortable when they were around which helped her get out of her shell a little more. She released her Nidorina from her Pokéball and took a seat. She had already packed during the weekend. “What do you think, Queen?” she asked. “Should we get a dragon type? Flygon and Garchomp both would fit into our ground team…” The gentle Pokémon nudged Lana’s hand and the young trainer knew that Queen would be fine with whatever she decided. The two were really close now and Lana was over the moon when Queen finally evolved last week. It encouraged her she was on the right track and gave her a little confidence boost. *************** Evan watched Kyte run around and laughed a little. He got used to have Colin and his Pokémon around and considered the guy a friend. He didn’t have many of those as he didn’t really open up to people. He talked a few times with Lana and completely ignored Alvin, but that was the most progress he made with anyone since day one. Of course he had his reputation against him. Some classmates considered him violent, probably because of what happened with Alvin, and others just thought he wasn’t friendly at all. Not that he cared much about that. It gave him some peace and quiet time he could use to study; something he was terrible at. He found his amount of BP lowering because of his grades instead of increasing and had to battle people in order to not go bankrupt. The positive side to that was that Eevee and Cleffa gained enough practice. The little fairy wasn’t something opponents could underestimate anymore. Evan watched as Faith was jumping on his bed. Eevee was nowhere to be seen and was probably sleeping on Lana’s Rhyhorn. His thoughts were focused on the coming camping trip. He wasn’t sure which Pokémon he wanted to catch, but he did know that at one point he wanted to grab a ground type. Maybe he could get a better idea after seeing Devin’s Pokémon. ((Did Kyte evolve or not?))
  18. Belgiuuuuum! Anyway to make this post relevant: I still need to figure out what I'm going to do with Kage's blindness. Because Devin should know / at least suspect something by now.
  19. (This thread is for students in the rp only. Since this contains a small timeskip your Pokémon are around level 15-20. Pokémon that need a stone to evolve can do that once they hit level 20. Pokémon evolving because of happiness can do that once they hit the same level. Also there's a new character so to make this easy everyone should know her name by now. (Especially coordinators)) October 6; Dragon Type Class (Week 6) “That was everything we had to cover before our trip,” Devin said, closing the projector. The image of Salamence disappeared from the wall. “We still have a little time left so I’ll explain the schedule for the rest of the week. “As you all know by now we leave Wednesday morning for a three day trip into the Boulder Hills to study dragon types.” Devin took a seat at his desk and continued. “We hired some cottages almost halfway through the mountains. Throughout the Boulder Hills are a lot of different Dragon Den’s. The place we’re going to is close to every dragon type; including Dragalge which is a rare find in the Hills. Now, since we aren’t going to the very top where the strongest dragons live, there shouldn’t be too many problems.” He looked around the class and paused for a moment. “The only problem is, is that our group is too big. Therefor three dragon breeding specialists will join us. We’ll split into four groups. That way we won’t destroy their habitat and can learn in a safe environment. For the first two days every specialist will take a different group with them so you’ll learn about all of the different species. During these two days you are allowed to catch a Pokémon, but this doesn’t have to be a dragon type. On day three we’ll allow every single one of you to battle on a rocky are, which is completely different from what you’re used to here.” Devin paused a moment again to let everything sink in. “If you didn’t catch anything on day 3 and you still want to, just ask me and I’ll accompany you to find a Pokémon. I can already tell you that you should pack clothes and shoes that can survive a rocky walk and a wet, almost swampy, area. Professors Silva (Tyron) and Arlyn (Phoebe) will join us. The fourth supervisor is either Rebecca or Brendan, who assist Professor Redwood, but I’m not sure which one. Those three and I will keep an eye out just in case a dragon starts to rampage.” Devin stood up again and walked to the middle of the class. “I’ve taught you everything you need to know in order to keep this a safe trip. However nature and knowledge are two different things. Therefor we will go tomorrow to my place. I have every dragon type living in my domain and I’ve rebuild it to suit their natural tastes. This should give you all an idea of what to expect so I’ll see you all tomorrow at 9am at the front gates. Don’t forget to pack your lunch!” Devin’s timing was perfect. As soon as he finished the bell rang and the last class of the day ended.
  20. Alright this is what I'm going to do: Chapter 1a is done. (Only Colin and Evan were still talking but I'm going to move forward. I can already tell what Colin's answer would be). Chapter 2 starts with an announcement of Devin and free time for students. I do this because timing sucks at this point. I have a job interview to prepare for tomorrow morning and overall have a busy day. Chapter 1b is still going. Timezones are a pain in that group so they'll probably have one chapter less (at this rate), but it will cover the same amount of time. -.-' I was too fast again. Does anyone know how to change a topic title? It should be 2a instead of 1b... Found it xD
  21. Like any of the three would complain.... @DarkLight: Yes, that map! I've tried to find programs on the internet to make it but failed. I made it in paint and it looks ridiculous. Also: Evan isn't a NPC xD I use him as my PC that won't reveal his backstory just like that. He also serves another purpose which I hinted at when he was in detention.
