DarkLight and ExLink When the young couple entered the tent they were greeted by a dark blue Gothitelle. The Psychic type opened some purple curtains and let Danielle and Slade in. The Old Woman was sitting at a round table decorated with scarfs. Apparently she decided they were too hot to keep around her neck like she had when she predicted Ryan’s future. Everything still smelled like mint and incense. “Welcome Sweeties, what do you want to know?” she whispered with a mysterious voice. Jory and Azery “I have the same feeling,” Kristen whispered. “Do you think something is following us?” Commander (Henry’s Dad) and Stratos (Mareek) “Thank you, Sir.” Lana bowed and accepted the money. “Java, can you get the change please?” Stratos (Galen) Evan glared at the man in front of him. “Your friends forced that metal chicken on me and same for the Zubat. And for an organization that doesn’t like gaining attention and refuses to inform me about their plans, that Skarmory really was a bad idea. That thing doesn’t do anything except drawing attention so really, thank for that!” The sarcasm was obvious. Evan didn’t like being used by people, especially if they refused to tell him what he was supposed to do. “Are you the only one they sent over?”

I asked you to sent me your final team (3-4 Pokémon at this point) and the rest of your character information just to see if you changed something or not. If you sent me those details I can change one of the non existing NPCs out and make new brackets.

Zephyr and Commander (Henry) It didn’t take long for Henry to catch up to Raiza. Her Litwick was still entertaining the bunch of Sableye with the fire and shadow displays. Jory Kristen smiled and blushed even harder. She secretly thanked whoever made this Haunted House dark enough so her red cheeks weren’t visible. She squeezed Jacob’s hand and gave him a little peck on the check before she felt something, Shade the Duskull, floating behind her. “Did you feel that? It’s like something’s watching us,” she said distracted. Azery Shade was still lingering around Kristen and Jacob. He stared intently; unaware he was interrupting their little moment. Commander (Henry’s Dad) and Stratos (Mareek) “Thank you Java,” Lana said, receiving the Suicune statue. She handed it over to the man and said with a quiet voice: “Legendary statues are 12 BP, sir.” Stratos (Galen) Evan glared at the man in front of him. So they were here after all… And to make it worse he couldn’t escape them. “What do you want? I don’t know anything about what your organization is trying to do so leave me alone!” he hissed barely loud enough so only Galen could hear him.

DarkLight “Ooh thanks Larvesta!” Brand said cheerfully. He patted the Bug type and drank his coffee. “Kalosian isn’t it?” The CEO was a smart man with a lot of knowledge. He obviously knew his coffee well. “Anyway, before I get sidetracked; do you remember the trip to the Boulder Hills? Some unfortunate actions happened and the paperwork that came with it… And then there’s that woman who kept bothering the board but now I’m still getting sidetracked! This won’t do so I’ll just show you.” He took something out of his pocket and showed it to Danielle. In his palm was a black and yellow ball. “You won the art challenge and this Ultra Ball is the prize. It isn’t available in the Academy shop and quite expensive so you’re one lucky girl. Congratulations!” Zephyr The Sableye’s watched in awe when the Litwick put on a show. “Saaaable!” one of them stepped forward and wanted to know exactly how the little candle did this shadow trick. Jory “Are you flirting with me?” Kristen asked. Lucky for her it was still dark so it was hard to see her cheeks turn red. She giggled a little when suddenly a Duskull appeared and stared them down. Azery Interesting. Another ghost, but Cofagrigus wasn’t planning to give up so easily. He kept standing perfectly still until the flame got too close. The coffin started to sweat and eventually started moving around. ((Shade is with Jacob. Cofagrigus knows where he is))

Stratos (Mareek) and DarkLight Lana was quiet, like usual, when she met Mareek’s mother. “It’s fine, we can handle it. You just go and catch up with your mom.” She bowed again to Ms Sisto and mumbled something that sounded like nice-to-meet-you. In the meantime Jeremy Brand entered the stall. He was wearing a dark blue suit that even looked a little sportive and trendy, in between casual and strict business. He admired Mareek’s work for a while before he located Danielle. “Aha, you must be Danielle Chastain! I’ve been looking for you! I’m Jeremy Brand, the head sponsor of the Winter Cup.” He extended his hand. “Nice to meet you.” Stratos (Galen) “Yes, I am. Do I know you?” Evan asked uninterested. Zephyr, Commander, Azery and Jory Since Evan was occupied, the other boy, Nico, let Raiza and her Pokémon in after she paid. He then turned his attention to Henry. “You want to enter? One ticket is 5 BP or Pokédollars.” The inside of the Haunted House contained Ghost Pokémon. Combined with the relics it was one of the better Houses out there. Darkness was overwhelming and made it easy to trip. The ground was uneven and had small hurdles to throw people off, creating perfect moments for a bunch of Sableye to scare whoever they found. The sound of wings and screeches created by a flock of Zubat and Sableye giggling completed the House. Almost in the middle was one other Pokémon; Cofagrigus. He was hiding in between other coffins containing mummies. When James passed he started to follow the student. A cold breeze blew in James’s neck and every time he turned around, Cofagrigus was standing still against a wall, pretending to be a coffin. Raiza on the other hand was surrounded by deep red eyes. The Sableye were attracted b Litwick’s fire and were studying their fellow ghost type. Somewhere between Raiza and James were Kristen and Jacob. They came close to one of the many hurdles; little wheels in the ground, and it didn’t take long before the Redhead lost balance and fell against Jacob. “Oh, sorry!” she giggled while making no effort to regain her balance again.

No, when Ryan 'dies' there is a Skarmory present. Celebi didn't show it to Kage because she was too exhausted and couldn't show him the complete picture.

Btw Tacos the unknown bird the Fortune Teller mentioned is a Skarmory in case it wasn't clear. She only saw the shade while Gothitelle saw the full picture. (And no she doesn't know Gothitelle told you that.)

Sarah and Matt (New RoG Agents) “Hurry up! I don’t want to miss the festival!” a young girl with curly brown hair and green eyes said. She was shorter than her conversation partner but that didn’t stop her from bossing him around. “Why are you so hasty? It’s not like we have the day off to enjoy that stupid festival anyway. If only we were allowed to participate in the battles we could’ve shown those noobs what we’re made off!” the boy complained. He looked older than the girl despite being the same age. He had a thick eyebrow that stood out and combined with his muscular arms it gave him an intimidating look. His black hair and grey eyes completed his appearance. Sarah sighed. “We could at least try and enjoy ourselves, you know.” “Wooptidoo,” Matt replied with the necessary amount of sarcasm. “You really are no fun when you can’t battle. You should try to find something else you can enjoy besides training, Musclehead.” “Shut up, go and bother someone else, preferably Pierre. Where is that idiot anyway?” Sarah shrugged. “He said something about arriving a little later… Oh hey, we’re here! I’ll see you later, Musclehead. I’m going to enjoy myself for a little while so you can go ahead and find our Team Leader.” This time it was Matt’s turn to sigh. He watched Sarah ran off to the different stalls and slowly made his way through the crowd, pretending he was interested in what was going on around him.

Azery “Yeah, he flew into the Haunted House. If you want to go after him you’ll have to buy a ticket. 5 BP or Pokédollars, prizes are made by that old man over there so I can’t change them.” Zephyr and Stratos “I guess we have no choice but to do our best. I never expected to face one of the favorites in the first round…” Lana mused before Raiza wrecking balled everything. She almost let out a giggle when she saw her childhood friend’s face. “Hey Raiza, are your parents already here?” Jory “I don’t care who my opponent is. I got some new tricks up my sleeve to try out. Top 32 just isn’t good enough for me!” Kristen declared before following Jacob. She walked right next to him when her eye fell on the Haunted House. If she pretended to be scared, would Jacob hold her? Or should she try to sneak up and scare him? A small grin showed on her face before she dragged Jacob over to buy tickets.

I barely leave this cave section so I have no idea what you're talking about. James can win his first round since the only ones I control are Kristen, Lana and Alvin. Like DarkLight said Kyle is Claude. When it comes to official school stuff and teachers I will use the original names Kyle and Kageharu. And now I'm too lazy to quote. @Tacos: I use 'white eyes' when I refer to someone who is blind. Gothitelle can't see faces in the future, only descriptions. Also the battles are the next day. I will move at a slower pace so everyone can get the interactions going and the Coordinators can prepare for their performance. The announcement was just to get the students hyped and maybe put some pressure on them.

All the Blocks were randomized. The only ones I had together were Mareek and Kage / Shiro and Henry since Stratos and Commander mentioned that would be interesting match-ups. I have to admit I was tempted to switch Kenny and Slade... But randomizer is randomizer. Edit: I also decided to put Mareek against Lana. So that's where I did made a switch since she was originally in Evan's Block.

Evan was sitting in his room. Colin had left a few days ago and he had he entire place for himself. He enjoyed the extra space but at the same time he felt like something was missing. Colin had been his best, and probably only, friend in the entire Academy. He sighed and watched Faith chasing Vlad the Zubat. His room was the only place where the bat was free to fly around without questions. During the past weeks Evan was careful enough not to show Vlad to anyone with success. His plan to keep a low profile however failed miserably. Skarmory loved to get to know people and attention and usually did something to stand out. Even recalling the steel bird didn’t help as she simply left her Pokéball a few seconds later. But if Evan was completely honest his newest addition wasn’t completely useless. He had tried her out in a few battles when he was low on BP and she easily swept through teams. She was far stronger than any Pokémon on his team and listened surprisingly well on the battlefield. Faith stood absolutely no chance and even Triton, his Vaporeon, failed to win even once. The only one that could do some decent damage was Nike, the Vulpix, but she wasn’t strong enough at that point to defeat Skarmory. Things were probably different now as Evan managed to evolve her with the use of a Fire stone. Evolution was the only exception when it came to the three Pokémon limit rule so now his team was pretty decent looking; a Clefairy, Vaporeon and a Ninetales. Everyone, even the people that didn’t like him, hated to admit he stood a fair chance at winning the cup. His chances would probably be even higher if he had used his Skarmory, but he decided against it when he sent out Nike instead. It happened on one of those days he doubted every decision he made so far and immediately set his final team in stone. Ever since that day he had been concentrating on Nike’s training schedule and it went well. Evan got up out of the couch and decided to go to the festival. “Sorry Vlad, but you have to stay hidden for now. The rest of you can stay out if you want.” He recalled the Zubat and passed by Slade on his way to the stalls but didn’t say anything. His Pokémon followed behind him, with Skarmory only a step away, when he passed an old man at a Haunted House. The man was cursing and appeared to be upset about something. When he saw Evan he desperately grabbed the student. “You there, boy, I need your help! My wife is sick so now I don’t have anyone to run my candy shop. I’ll have to do it so can you take over the Haunted House? It’s very simple; when they buy a ticket you have to push the blue button to let them in and when they get out push the red one. I’ll pay you for it so thank you!” Evan didn’t really have a choice as he was pushed into the selling booth. “Try to gain some attention by letting your Pokémon do something. In the back you’ll find some things to dress them up if you need it.” Five minutes later Vlad was flying around in the Haunted House trying to scare people while Triton, Nike and Faith walked around trying to get some attention from people and led them to Evan’s cabin. On top of the house was Skarmory. She was obviously in her element and had some fake blood on her razor sharp wings, beak and the rest of her body. She looked intimidating and behave like she just killed someone by giving sharp cries like she was about to start a war. The plan helped since she gained a lot of attention and customers. ****************** In the meantime it was the clock hit 1 PM. A giant projection on the school building showed Marco the commentator. He was tall and handsome. Short brown hair, blue eyes, but what stood out most were his white teeth. Every time he smiled they were visible. “Good day ladies and gentlemen!” he smiled, “welcome to the Ymora Academy. I’m Marco and I will be your host. You may know me as the man who reports every major tournament in this Region! Now as you all know the Cup starts tomorrow. 32 of the strongest first years made it through the preliminaries and will fight it out for the title of Winter Cup Champion! All battles will take place in the Stadium and a randomizer will choose the field. All trainers are limited to use only 3 Pokémon throughout the entire competition. All their teams are already known by their opponents to make it extra hard and exciting!” Marco grinned again and waited for a few seconds. “Now without further ado let’s get started! These 32 talented trainers will be divided in 8 different blocks.” 32 photos of the remaining competitors displayed for everyone to see, even on television as this was a live match-up lottery. “Now let the randomizer do his magic!” The pictures started to move around and four of them came to the front, one by one. “Block A: Kenny, Karen, Laura and Robert! Their battles will start at 10 AM tomorrow! Kenny versus Karin is the first match followed by Laura versus Robert immediately after! Whoever wins this block will face the winner of Block C!” The pictures started to do their magic again and this time Block B was revealed. “Shiro versus Alvin and Henry will face Kaido! These battles will start after Block A’s first battles are finished! The winner of this block will battle the winner of Block D!” In the meantime the next pictures were ready. “Alright Block C is James versus Paul and Danielle against Liza!” Right after Marco was done talking the next four battlers were shown on screen. “Mareek versus Lana and the second battle is Kageharu against Julie! These are the exciting battles for Block D” “And this brings us to Block E! Jacob versus Nico and Slade is going up against Victoria! Whoever survives this block will battle the winner of Block G.” “This is going fast so stay with me! Block F; Evan versus Kylie and Louise against Max! The last man or woman standing will face the last competitor of Block H!” “We’re already at Block G. You already know what that means; the winner will battle whoever wins Block E. Now let’s see who will our competitors. Sissy will battle Gerard while Kyle will go up against Nadia!” “This means that the last four people will be put in Block H. Raiza versus Kristen and the last battle of the first round is between Ryan and Bert!” “Thanks for watching the drawings with me and I will see you all tomorrow! And may I remind you that our talented Coordinators will officially open the festivities at 9 PM? You don’t want to miss that! Have fun and I’ll see you tomorrow!” The screen went blank again. Immediately people started talking, especially those that knew the competitors. Friends and family cheered them on loudly while some of them looked very nervous and pretended to laugh.

I'm randomizing the names right now. Only 2 PCs will be in the same block, the rest are NPCs. If they don't have a familiar name you can decide if you want to do the battle or just mention you won. (First round everyone is paired up against an NPC) Louise is the only excepting since that's Snap's character.

"Sounds like a plan," Trystane said, looking for Argo. "I don't need much else so I'll take care of the food and water." He called over Argo and left. The young Hunter couldn't wait to get out of his place. ((Where are the others?))

Jory Kristen put her hands on her hips and pretended to pout. “He would say you lost because you didn’t stand a chance! I know all your tactics and tricks, Jacob!” She put her finger against his chest and poked him a little. “I didn’t just sit on my hands while you were doing training.” She grinned and looked him in the eyes when she suddenly saw the clock behind him. “Oh it’s almost 1 PM! They will announce the schedule soon!” Tacos “So you want to know about your death?” the Old Lady said. “Well then, let’s take a look at the cards, shall we?” Her voice suddenly became more mysterious as she laid tarot cards in front of Ryan. She looked them over for a moment, frowned and shuffled them back. She tried again and the exact same cards appeared. “This can’t be right,” she mumbled and tried over and over again. After the fifth time she stared at Ryan with sad eyes. “Dead is coming into your life, sweetie,” she forgot to use her professional voice. “No matter how many times I shuffle the cards, Death is present. The only thing that isn’t clear is who will die. Maybe the Crystal Ball will answer that…” She placed the Ball in between them and stared deeply. “I see something moving…” Suddenly Gothitelle’s eyes started to glow. The Psychic type was standing left from the Old Woman, out of her vision, when she too started to act weird. Her eyes rolled back and a high, yet gentle voice spoke through her mouth. “Your death is uncertain, young trainer. A lot of strings will influence the outcome. Some are more prominent then others, especially the one with white eyes. Look for the cry of a Skarmory for that will be the key.” The Gothitelle’s eyes returned back to normal as she started to pant heavily. She pushed her powers to the absolute limit. Her trainer didn’t realize as she acted like she wasn’t interrupted. “I see a lot of different shades behind you, Sweetie, and one is circling above you… it is some kind of bird but the species isn’t clear. That’s all the Crystal Ball is showing me. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Consider this a free sessions from me,” she gave him a warm smile. The Gothitelle seemed to gaze right through him.

Jory Kristen giggled. She loved it how passionate Jacob was about winning the Winter Cup, but couldn’t help to tease him a little. “I’m sorry to be the one to burst your bubble, Jacob,” her face was deadly serious. “But I’m the one who will kick your ass and win the Cup!” She gave him a playful push and a wink. “Don’t worry, I’ll allow you to be second place. I bet your family would still be proud with that achievement.” Stratos and DarkLight “It’s not that surprising. Your wood carving is unique and people can use it as decoration in their house,” Lana replied. She was dressed similar to Danielle but in green instead of blue. When Zared poked her and pointed to Slades parents. “Should we go over there?” Lana asked uncertain. She had no idea what Zared wanted to achieve. As far as she could tell Danielle was helping out another customer. Tacos The Old Lady was still getting her stall ready. “Oh, come in my sweet boy,” she said with her friendly voice. “I’m ready in a minute or so. You can take a seat by my Gothitelle over there by the table.” The Fortuneteller didn’t bother using a name. It was a part of her mystery act. After she was done lighting some candles the tent was filled with the smell of mint and incense. She took her seat and looked Ryan in the eyes. She was dressed in dark blue with multiple scarfs other fortuneteller’s used. She had a gentle face and appeared to be somewhere in the late fifties. Her hair was grey with some dark spots like she used to have. “Now, Ryan, you’ll have to be more specific. What about your future do you want to know?” She was still using her normal voice.

I completely forgot... Danielle won but didn' receive the price so I'll fix that later. Also I saw no problems with the movesets.

TV-commercial during the past few weeks Come one! Come all! It’s almost that time again! You know what I mean; the Winter Cup is about to start! The students attending our Region’s pride are going to battle it out to decide who the best is amongst the best. 32 students from each year qualified themselves for this grand stage! You don’t want to miss this. Do you want to see the possible future champ in action? Or maybe a young prodigy you personally know is entering the competition to win this small Pokémon League! And there’s more. This year we have a special surprise for those that reach the finals. I won’t spoil everything but you, the audience, will love it. So if you want to see this spectacle live come to Ymora’s Pokémon Academy! The festivities start Monday December 1 at 9 AM and will end at Sunday December 7 at 9 PM. December 1; Academy Grounds 9 AM The students had a lot to do these past couple of weeks. Extra training was almost impossible next to classes, preparing the stalls and battling in the preliminaries. In the end 32 first years managed to qualify themselves. Just like every year students gossiped about the remaining competitors. Some, like Jacob Robertson and Mareek Sisto, were considered the favorites to gain the title. Others were less popular. Henry Baldwin had by far the most people rooting against him. His previous opponents had prepared strategies to deal with that Vulpix only to find out he somehow traded it for a Skitty. Nobody likes to lose to a Skitty in a trainer battle. Needless to say many students considered it cheap or cheating and hoped to see him lose. Last, but not least, there were a few competitors not much people had confidence in. Many even asked themselves how the hell they were still in the competition while they weren’t. Lana Everheart and Shiro Advent were considered the weakest. Surprisingly Kage and Claude had the biggest fan bases. There was a little rivalry going on, like every year, between the different Programs. The Breeders rooted for Kage. At first it was a little awkward when they found out he was blind and they never noticed, but they quickly got over it. Especially when only a handful of breeders managed to qualify and Kage was the best amongst them. Almost all the Coordinators were cheering for Claude. His outgoing personality made him popular and so did his battle style. Many considered him the one who would show those Trainers what a real Coordinator was all about. ********************** Galen successfully infiltrated the Academy. Teach gave some last minute advice to lay low for two weeks until the Cup started and use the time to explore the Grounds. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to meet his team before he left HQ. Some unforeseen circumstances delayed their arrival for days. Right now he was in his ‘house’. RoG had prepared an apartment for him to stay at, not far from the Academy. Last night he received details and green light to start the operation. He was finally allowed to make contact with Evan Reeves or make a move whenever an opportunity arose. *********************** During the weekend all stalls were prepared and ready. Aside from those that were set up by students, there were some outsiders. A burger stall, bouncing castle, … but the one that stood out most was probably the fortune teller. The stall was run by a friendly old woman and her dark blue (shiny) Gothitelle. The woman only arrived on Saturday and already the strangest rumors were told by students. Some said she was a witch, a descendant of old Nomad Tribes that worshipped Giratina while others swore she could actually see the truth. Two girls told everyone who was willing to listen how the old woman suddenly spoke with a weird voice while her eyes rolled around as she predicted the their future and claimed she didn’t remember anything after. The entire time the Gothitelle pretended nothing happened. But as time went by the students forgot to gossip and prepared their stalls. It was 9 AM and the first guests already came through the gates. Most of them were family members. People that just wanted to watch the battles and experience the festival usually came later. ((Summary; you can all decide which family members will visit your PCs (or none) and can control them. Max level is around 25 (not much time to train) and only three Pokémon allowed to use in the Cup. The fourth Pokémon can catch up later, but this is to keep it fair. Stratos it is up to you when Galen walks through the gates. The students already saw him but none of them spoke to him.))
