Evan still has doubts. He knows helping RoG isn't the way to go and I wanted to show that by giving him some more dialogue with Jaime, but Dobby beat me to it. I'm still figuring out how he would react to Claude's approach. And he feels bad for the bird. He's not dumb so he knows there's a reason why it's so attached to him, but since he doubts himself, he also doubts if he's the right trainer to take care of Skarmory. If Claude tells him that Skarmory is going to kill Ryan in the future he might think it's because he let it come that far. (None of the PCs know who actually 'killed' Ryan)
-
Btw about that Skarmory; I don't really mind if a PC wants to take care of it. At this point Evan would be willing to trade it. I just looked for something that could pack some power early on (without using it) and that looks a little more intimidating compared to the rest of Evan's team. Skarmory just fit the bill but that doesn't mean it will stay around for the entire story. It just helps to start the actual plot.
-
First thing that comes to my mind is Skarmory. It's capable of flight and rocks do neutral damage. I really should make a second word document with the teams and moves. No way in hell am I going to remember all these NPCs movesets. I'll be glad if I can remember Evan's pokes...
-
This isn't really competitive so just pick what you like. I decided to make Rhyhorn a powerhouse from the start because Lana is meant to be a supportive character. Alvin is just for my pleasure later on Also I'm picking Evan's team on pokes I really like using at that time / personal favorites. I try to keep diversity in mind but that's about it.
-
Lana isn't going to be so easy compared to other NPCs. I made her Rhyhorn a powerhouse to tank hits. You better take advantage now because in later chapters it's going to be even harder to take down.

Lana “Protect!” A blue sphere popped up around Shellos just in time to avoid Erce’s attacks. “So you’re after Shellos? I chose this team to take hits and deal with your offensive power so I came prepared for situations like this,” Lana said. In the crowd some students felt their jaw drop on the ground. Who knew Lana could handle herself against Mareek? The girl herself was completely absorbed into the battle as she tried to lure Mareek to follow her pace. “Rhy, Rock Blast on Erce.” The Rhyhorn turned around, completely ignoring the damage Nemo’s attack did, and focused on attacking Erce. “Shelly, Hidden Power on Nemo. Throw him off Rhy’s back.” As usual with the Hidden Power attack, white orbs surrounded the Shellos before they took on a deep, poisonous looking, purple color. Dobby Evan didn’t bother with the group gathering around Danielle. He was interested in Mareek’s battle and how well Lana would do and didn’t even notice Claude coming over. “Huh? About what?” he asked, obviously caught off guard. He glared over the boy’s shoulder at Danielle’s group. “If it’s about her I’m not interested in making up and becoming friends.”- 1255 replies

Lana “The rain isn’t to detect Erce. I already expected she would be too fast to see,” Lana responded. “Rock Smash.” Rhyhorn got up in the blink of an eye, positioned himself between the incoming rocks and his partner, and started smashing the rocks with his horn. “Rhy, clear the field, Shelly, Water Pulse on Nemo!” This time Shellos went for power instead of multiple small water orbs. She held the attack for a while, gathering more water only to release it as soon as the Rhyhorn was done creating an opening. Apparently Lana had decided to play Mareek’s game and concentrated on taking Nemo first.- 1255 replies

I have little to no time in the weekend. Every Saturday I have 3 hours between work shifts and I can't always spend them on updating. And these last Sundays have been busy too. Tomorrow I'm gone for the entire day and it doesn't look like I'll have much free time soon. Also having 2 fields doesn't really make sense since this is a mini Pokémon League. Everyone already qualified so I followed the anime and gave everyone some 'spotlight'.

Lana This was it; being pressured from the start. She expected nothing less from Mareek. He kept his promise and went all out. The stones on his side of the field already set his plan in motion and even though Lana was surprised, she didn’t show it. There were only 2 options; go after Erce or after Nemo. The first option wasn’t really there since she couldn’t see the bug type and her Pokémon were too slow. If she went after Nemo she would probably play right into Mareek’s hands. The Breeder didn’t respond and thought for a minute; rushing things would be her demise. Wasn’t there a way to locate Erce? She could try and flood the field like Jacob so the splashing would give away her location, but she was probably hovering in the air. Lana took a deep breath. “Rain Pulse,” she finally ordered. Shellos yelped in excitement and started to move in a very weird way, causing a heavy rainfall over the entire field. The little slug then grinned and started to blast multiple little Water Pulses. They didn’t pack as much power as one big attack, but hopefully the swordsman in front of her couldn’t stop all of them. In the meantime Rhyhorn hadn’t moved a muscle.- 1255 replies

Hosts (Surge) “And that brings us to the last battle of the first round. Mareek and Lana, please make your way to the field.” Professor Redwood was still giving the comments since Marco was still without a mic. “Oh yes, information; Mareek is a trainer and the main threat to Jacob to win this tournament. Lana is a shy Breeder and some people think she doesn’t stand a chance. Personally I wouldn’t underestimate her ground types… Also the two are pretty good friends. I expect an interesting match.” Zephyr and Commander Lana stayed quiet during the conversation of her fellow students. She felt like she was interrupting something she shouldn’t and tried to morph into the walls. Though she had to admit her childhood friend and the boy from Orre seemed to get along really well. She was glad when she heard Redwood’s voice calling her to the battlefield and disappeared without disturbing the duo. Lana The Breeder was first to arrive at the battlefield. She felt nervous and tried not to pay too much attention to the crowd. She already released her Rhyhorn and Shellos since Mareek knew who she would use. The water type looked around with a big grin on her face, full of expectations while the Rhydon looked like he was sleeping like a log. Somewhere in the stands “I spy with my little eye…” Jeremy Brand teased when he saw the old man and his granddaughter. “Oh, hello Mister Brand, I didn’t see you there,” the old man replied respectfully. “Please, call me Jeremy. Craig (Redwood) told me you would be here but it took me a while to find you in this big crowd. So how are you two doing?” he asked, turning to the girl with the hoodie. “How’s our new-“ “Yo, give me all yo moneys Richman,” the female replied. Her fingers formed a gun aimed at his head. “For Arceus sake, can’t you behave for once?” the old man sighed. Brand chuckled and played along, raising his hands like he surrendered. “It’s alright Franck, but I’m afraid I have to disappoint my robber. I just invested bigtime in this stadium and the ones used for the League. I hope the results will have your approval.”- 1255 replies

“Ace, come back!” Logan quickly commanded. He took out the capsule and a flash of light absorbed his favorite monkey before the woman would pull the trigger. “Sorry about that,” he said to the Kadabra, “but we had no idea if you were hostiles or not. We have no idea where we were teleported. I’m a medic so I can treat that wound if you allow me.” He raised his arms to show he meant no harm to the foxman.

If too many people get involved and accuse him; it's over. He won't say anything and will join RoG. So be careful with what you do.
-
That's because it's the latest ship. You can always try but be sure to pin him down. If he has an escape he will use it. Aside from that I'm not sure if he would come clean or not...

Lickylicky might be fun to use in an RP... Maybe I should give it to an NPC or Evan... Interesting.

If I don't mention Pokémon to pick from you have free choice. In this case I was too lazy.

Hosts (Tacos and Azery) The audience fell silent and so did Marco. “Uhm what just happened?” he asked flabbergasted. “I have no idea…” Redwood said. He looked at Devin for support. The Elite Member just shrugged. “Max couldn’t deal with it. He probably expected an easy battle and wasn’t ready for the fight. His bad start made him lose his confidence and to avoid a complete failure he forfeited. Of course by running away he didn’t make himself quite popular.” That was an understatement. When the crowd got over what happened, they started booing and yelling insults, coward was the most polite one, at Max. Even Henry didn’t receive so much hostility. “Block H! The last block! James and Liza, please make your way to the field!” Redwood tried in an attempt to keep things from escalating. Stratos (Galen) “Sounds like a blast,” Sarah said. Her sarcasm was almost touchable. “And who is this super smart kid you’re talking about?”- 1255 replies

“No, we’re not,” Logan whispered to the civilian. “We had a… little incident and are looking for our squad. We don’t even know where we are but that doesn’t matter. Get behind that counter and stay there. I don’t know if we’re dealing with friendlies or not…” He then turned his attention to the soldier with the light. Figuring he was too late to hide, and to possibly create a distraction for Lars, he readied his gun. “Who are you? If you say we are AWOL for being here, doesn’t the same count for you?” he asked, holding his place next to the door.

Snap is officially MIA. She's been gone for 6 weeks now so I doubt she'll be coming back anytime soon. Tses will receive the same treatment if he doesn't come back the next 2/3 weeks.
-
He has a new function now. I'm just introducing the complete League situation so PCs like Jacob, who aim for the League, know more about it.
-
Devin is the oldest E4 member and the old man is retired. He's almost 70 hence the 'past their prime' comment. Also none of the current E4 members are related to each other.
-
Alright as long as I know you aren't MIA like Snap and Tses. (And potentially Bfroger) The Champion won't be making an appearance for quite a while. That was the wrong part, but both of the 'new' characters have a link with the league.

Hosts (Tacos) Marco was about to yell in his mic again when he noticed the thing was gone. “Hey,” he whispered, “what happened to my mic? I can’t host like this!” “Ah I think one of the co-workers said it was broken and they had to fix it. They will give you another one as soon as possible,” Redwood lied. He knew what happened and out the corner of his eye, barely visible in the distance, he could see a broken mic. Devin Cadmus had reached his limit. Some things, like yelling into his ear, simply annoyed him. Redwood continued. “Next up are Ryan and Max. Not sure if it’s coincidence or not, but they have very similar Pokémon. Ryan has a Spheal, Luxio, Bagon and Phanpy while Max has a Wailmer, Electrike, Axew and Swinub.” ((You can pick 2 out of the 4)) Stratos (Galen) “Boooooriiing! When are we starting the mission? I can use some action,” Sarah yawned. Apparently she wasn’t the only one unimpressed by the ongoing battles. Matt seemed to be asleep with his chin resting on his chest and even Pierre was awfully quiet. Somewhere in the stands “Seriously? Noobs. This doesn’t even count as decent training. Ymora drew the short straw this year if that’s all they can do…” “Behave yourself, will you? And what’s with the hoodie? Are you planning to rob this place?” “That sounds like fun actually, gramps. And you know I don’t want to be recognized. It would be bad for my image if people saw me hang out with old people past their prime.” The old man sighed. “Remind me to ask Devin to knock some sense into you next time the two of you have a battle. And just so you know; I can still take you on and battle circles around you.”- 1255 replies
