  1. After he slayed the Goblin, Sigurd immediately had to defend from incoming attacks. The three Lizardmen weren’t very skilled, but they were annoying. Their wild attacks didn’t leave much room for counterattacking and it didn’t help that more Goblins showed up firing arrows everywhere. “You’re all such a pain!” Sigurd yelled as he used another wind technique. This time he blew one of the Lizardmen forcefully away, creating some space. He was planning to do something about the Goblins on the roofs first, until some of them dropped dead. “Well that’s handy...” He took his stance back, facing all three Lizardmen. “Come on! Let’s see who the Goddess Aelia smiles upon today!” He dashed forward to his opponent on the left. His sword met his opponents Kilij, trading blows, leaving the beast wide open for Sigurd’s second sword.
  2. Sigurd watched closely as he picked his first enemy. His eye fell on the Goblin who threw his spear at the Elf. Using the wind to accelerate, he dashed forward. As soon as he reached the enemy, he launched a strike at the Goblin's chest, rotated, and prepared to launch his second sword at his opponent's waist.
  3. Sigurd dropped his mug when a man with arrows in his chest claimed they were under attack. Odin and his son reacted immediately and so did a few adventurers. He stood up while the Half-Orc, who was responsible for the earlier prank, yelled what Odin had done for him. You’re not the only one who thinks like that, Half-Orc. The young Templar put on his cloak, grabbed his swords and walked over to Odin. Meanwhile others had taken up arms. “It looks like I can cut something else then steak,” He said while putting his hand on the Dwarf’s shoulder. “Let me show you the Sacred Dance taught to us, Whirling Dervish, loyal to our Goddess Aelia!” Sigurd took his battle stance, prepared to follow the Elf that charged recklessly at whatever was waiting for them.
  4. Ok thanks. For some reason if it's about elements I assume it's Pokémon standards with being super effective and all...
  5. So I was wondering if a character who manipulates an element, like wind, has a (dis)advantage over another element user?
  6. The more Logan saw about the GAO’s, the more interested he became. He was fascinated by the transformation Surge’s GAO had after touching a stone. He wondered if his own creatures could do that and decided to ask Professor Oak or Dr. Ray in the near future. For now, he would focus on what Crush meant by giving him grass. Maybe there were GAO that could manipulate grass? Logan was in deep thought, trying to come up with other theories, that he missed part of the commotion. Apparently Oak’s fox-man used some kind of attack on Lars. It didn’t take long before Erick and Clint got involved and even Nathan, who didn’t seem to be very fond of Clint. Logan wondered if he should check on the situation even though it wasn’t his business. While Logan wasn’t paying attention, Crush found an interesting looking GAO. The turtle walked towards the creature, which looked like a spinning top, and looked at it with curiosity on its face.
  7. Ok thanks. I was just wondering since I tend to make Logan the 'learn by experience' type instead of learning everything from Ray's lectures. Edit: Updated my post from when I first released them with the pictures. Might use them later on when they evolve.
  8. “That is some interesting Silverware, didn’t know the steaks were that though around here” the Dwarf, who introduced himself as Odin Thunderbrew, said. “Well I heard Dwarves like their meat in big chunks and straight from the bone, so I came prepared.” Sigurd said with a smile. He accepted the mug from the Dwarf, took a sip and said: “My name is Sigurd Olafson. With a fine brew like this you would be a hero where I’m from.” Sigurd emptied his mug and studied Odin. The Dwarf had a friendly and somewhat trustworthy face, for as far you can trust a complete stranger. “Thanks for that. You seem to know a lot about this place. Any place you recommend for staying the night?”
  9. I'm thinking about using these pictures: Chimchar Squirtle But I'm not sure about the Squirtle... What do you guys think?
  10. Oak explained to Logan what had happened to Chimchar. Apparently his Squirle, Crush, had an advantage over Chimchar. “So we have to consider affinities as well,” Logan mumbled to himself. With that in mind he noticed Crush’s reaction towards the storm. The turtle was startled when lightning attacks flew around in the direction of the forest. Crush turned his head and looked like it was on guard. Logan studied the unusual behavior. Normally Crush acted cool and looked down on other GAO, but this time he looked panicked. “You don’t like electricity, do you?” Logan asked. Crush shook his head, pointed to the forest, himself and then towards the monkey in Logan’s arms. It only took Logan a few moments to figure out what Crush tried to tell him. “If you get hit by lightning you end up like Chimchar after he took a water attack…” Crush nodded. “Interesting,” Logan said while putting Chimchar back in its sphere. “What else causes you to faint?” The turtle looked around, looking for another GAO with an advantage over him. Apparently it didn’t find any, so it ran towards the forest, picked some grass and gave it to Logan. “Grass?” the cadet asked confused. (( I'm not sure if Squirtle can know his disadvantages. If he doesnt, just let me know and I'll delete my last sentence.))
  11. Sigurd had barely taken a seat at an empty table, when a Dwarf Paladin entered the tavern. The Dwarf was greeted by his father who offered everyone free Ale. The young Templar smiled, removed his grey cloak and laid his swords next to him thinking he came to the right place. He was looking for an adventure and according to the older Templars you could easily find one if you enter a tavern and listened to the stories. So that’s what Sigurd did. Or rather tried to do. The Shadowed Isle sounded like a place full of mysteries to him, but up until now he was disappointed. Hunger and a hard daily life was all he could see. Of course his own youth wasn’t exactly easy with the harsh winters; he was under the impression that life around here was much harder. Or maybe he wasn’t used to it anymore since his days in the Temple. While the Dwarf came closer to his table, talking to other travelers, Sigurd noticed how warm it was. He grew up in cold climates and got used to it. He preferred colder temperatures with a nice breeze since the wind is a gift from the Goddess Aelia, blessing warriors and adventurers alike. Sigurd stood up and relocated his table a bit so he faced the door. He waited for the Dwarf to arrive, while trying to catch a cool breeze.
  12. Logan wasn’t sure if he should release Chimchar again with the other GAO’s around. Especially since the monkey had taken an interest in Clint’s Tyrogue. He stared at the sphere in his hand when both Erick and Clint asked how Chimchar was doing. Clint even asked for advice on how to call out for attacks. “I don’t know either,” Logan said. “I told Chimchar to attack and it started to scratch. But I’m pretty sure it has a way to manipulate fire.” “To answer your first question: I don’t know how my monkey is doing. It did seem restless and active before.” Logan took out his second sphere and released Squirtle first. The turtle looked at the other GAO’s intently before facing back to Logan, with a questioning look on its face. “Before I release your buddy, I want to know what you can do. Show me an attack.” It was a simple order and Logan expected an attack like his Chimchar used earlier. The turtle didn’t hesitate and spit a jet of water out of its mouth into Logan’s face. “Ya, thanks for the shower buddy.” Squirtle seemed to enjoy himself as it started laughing and rolling on its shell. “Not bad,” Logan said while using his shirt as a towel. “Listen, when Chimchar acts up and goes after one of the other GAO’s here, use that water attack to crush him.” Squirtle stopped laughing and excitedly nodded. “Someone looks forward to attacking Chimchar. If you like the idea of crushing opponents, I guess I’ll call you Crush.” The Squirtle smiled at that nickname. A few moments later Logan released Chimchar. The fiery monkey started to act up immediately. After it saw all the other GAO’s around, it found Tyrogue. But before Chimchar even had a chance to do something, Squirtle used its water attack. “You got to be kidding me. Crush, only use it when he actually does something!” Logan said. Crush shrugged and started to gesture something when it got hit by a fire attack from Chimchar. Crush wanted to retaliate, until it noticed that Chimchar was swaying and collapsed. “Chimchar!” Logan took the monkey in his arms. “Professor Oak! There’s something wrong with Chimchar!”
  13. Everything happened so fast. One moment Logan stepped down and the next he was in a room with the Sergeant and the rest of the cadets. Some of them told their version of what happened and he heard his name coming up. Logan had no choice. He stepped up after Nathan’s version. “Sir, I’m to blame as well. I was curious about Clint’s giant rocksnake and my own partners. So I accepted the battle.” He looked at Clint. “You have nothing to apologize for. We’re in this together,” he said with a faint smile before he turned back to the Sergeant. “Anyway, the imposter interfered with the battle. Our partners didn’t like it and started fighting again.” While Logan was talking; his Chimchar jumped on his shoulder. “As soon as this little guy got thrown away by the imposter’s partners, I stepped down. I thought it was the right thing to do since I was facing someone with a higher rank. Clint didn’t step down and was in trouble. I should’ve had his back, but instead Erick did.” Logan turned to Clint. “Sorry about that.” Chimchar started acting up again. Apparently he was curious as what had happened to his opponent. Logan took the fiery monkey and put in on the ground. He looked the Sergeant in the eye and said: “Clint and Erick battled the intruder until the interference. Sir, if Clint receives punishment, I should too.” Logan was determined. He wouldn’t let Clint down after the guy had stepped up for him.
  14. That didn't help me. I got sucker punched by his Croagunk killing it in 1 hit >< Anyway, that was on my first playthrough and Corey destroyed me back then. I remember beating his Crobat with Pachurisu. It's bulky enough to take a hit or 2 and dish out with electric attacks.
  15. So we are supposed to use pictures? It's a bit confusing since Supernovae changed his post, but I went with Tamer's storyline. If that's wrong I'll change it..
  16. Oak interfered with the battle before it even started and took Chimchar with him, dropped it on the ground and started doing something on the table. Logan knew he was in trouble. He tried to draw Chimchar’s attention before it did something else and was caught off guard when a white light flashed, blinding him. As soon as Logan opened his eyes again he saw Tyrogue crawling over to Chimchar. He knew the monkey would start fighting again and tried to find a way to stop it without drawing too much attention, but he was too late. Oak released his own monster. Something weird that was way more powerful than his monkey and Clint’s Tyrogue. Both creatures were thrown away by Oak’s orders and sound of breaking stone and water could be heard. Logan was worried about Chimchar and wanted to check on it, but Oak started yelling at him and Clint. Suddenly an owl-like creature was facing him and Squirtle. The turtle wasn’t impressed, but didn’t react. “We’ll stop! We just didn’t have complete control over those creatures, that’s all.” He looked at Clint for back-up.
  17. Logan was surprised when Clint requested a one on one without using his Onix. "I accept your challenge," he said while looking at Clint's Tyrogue and his own monsters. Chimchar looked ready to go while Squirtle's shell looked sturdy and more reliable for this match. Logan was about to pick the turtle when he saw Tyrogue smashing his knuckles together, drawing the attention of Chimchar. The monkey went over to his opponent and looked back at Logan, ready to start the fight. "Looks like you're ready." Logan had no idea what to do. He didn't know what attacks Chimchar could do. "No point in thinking too much. Chimchar, attack!" The monkey ran over to Tyrogue and scratched it. That didn't seem very effective. Maybe I should go for a fire attack next? Logan wondered as he waited for his opponent to move.
  18. “It’s cool cause if ya have to go up against me I’ll be sure he takes it a little easy on ya.” Logan didn’t need to hear more. Even when Clint suggested he should release his creatures as well, he had already decided to show him. He could already imagine a big dinosaurlike thing showing up. That will make Clint shut up.. “Chimchar and Squirtle,” Logan said with a smile, “Let’s see what you guys look like.” He opened the spheres and saw a little monkey with its ass on fire and next to it stood a blue turtle. Logan stared at them. He didn’t know what he had expected, but this wasn’t it. That thing Dr. Ray released yesterday and Clint’s Onyx looked far more ferocious then these two. And to make things worse, both of them didn’t like each other. Chimchar was drawing attention by making backflips while Squirtle looked down on him, which made the first one retaliate. Logan rubbed his head. “This isn’t gonna be easy.”
  19. Chimchar is by far the best fire type early in the game. (I got a modest litleo with moxie, wth?) I also recommend getting that Magikarp and get that Kricketot. Trubbish can be helpful, but isn't that necessary. And about Crobat: Swoobat is available early with psychic attacks and there are decent Electric types. Spam Charge Beam and it won't be that much of a problem. Last time I killed it with Pachurisu.
  20. Logan stared at the battlefield. He was impressed how well the creatures listened to Erick. He looked down at the spheres in his hands. Apparently he had a Chimchar and a Squirtle, whatever those things were. He was wondering if they were allowed to release their creatures. The other cadets started to ask Oak some questions, until a giant rocksnake appeared. Logan jumped away, startled by how huge that thing was. “What the hell did you release?” he asked Clint.
  21. Swept Florinia 6-0 with a Kricketune... How the mighty have fallen!

  22. If you don't breed: Aqua Ring for recovery or Acid Armor to get his defense up. You can also check the move tutor to see if you can get Aurora Beam for now... I don't know which TM/HM are available at this point so maybe someone else can help you better with that.
  23. Eevee is only lvl 5? Dang, I forgot since it's been a while since I got it. But if your team is lvl 46-53 I don't see any problems with evolving it into Vaporeon. It learns Hydro Pump at 45 (according to Bulbapedia). Just go with with the one you want to use and maybe get a 7th team member. That way you don't have to pick between a water of a psychic type. For that last teamslot: Don't pick Drapion. Half your team is already weak against Ground.
