Graterras: Dark Destinies [OOC/Sign-Ups]

Sounds like I'm in trouble lol Murdoc, how you want to do this? You want to start with me being your apprentice? If that's the case I might change my backstory a bit to fit with yours. Or will it happen in the story?- 68 replies

Graterras: Dark Destinies [OOC/Sign-Ups]
Chim replied to Raindrop Valkyrie's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Character Name: Ryger Faction: Thieves Guild Class Descriptors: Thief (he’s also a blacksmith apprentice for appearances) Appearance: Ryger has long blonde hair that reaches the base of his neck. He usually keeps it into a ponytail. He has blue eyes, is 16 years old and 5’3” tall. His arms are a bit more muscular than the rest of his body from the hard work at the blacksmith. During the day he usually wears his blacksmith clothes; a dirty grey shirt and brown leather pants. When he goes out stealing he wears a dark clothes and cloak to conceal his face and hair. Personality: Ryger behaves friendly and polite towards people and customers. He also shows respect for people with high ranks in the city, but deep down he doesn’t care. Ryger sees everyone as a potential target, unless they are customers who visited the shop not long ago (to avoid a pattern). He doesn’t trust people and has a habit of collecting things that are hard to get, no matter what the value is. He also enjoys the thrill of locating his target and taking it without getting caught. His goal is to collect enough money so he can spend the rest of his life in wealth. Background: Ryger grew up in the slums. His only relative was his selfish, alcohol addicted father. Ryder was forced to take on various different jobs such as polishing up the shoes of the rich or bringing around errands for a very little paycheck. He did it for years without complaining until his home situation became worse. Ryger’s father lost his low payment job and forced his son to give everything he earned to him, just so he could spent it all on alcohol. Ryger barely had anything left to eat, let alone some ‘new’ clothes or shoes and his father still demanded more money or would kick him on the street. Ryger did what he was told and as time passed by, he grew more and more bitter. Life wasn’t fair and soon he learned that if you want something, you have to take it. He started to hone his thieving skills by pickpocketing from the rich and stealing food from carts. Months passed by and Ryger, who kept some money to himself, became careless. His father caught him eating fresh bread and demanded to know where he got it and how he paid for it. Ryger refused to answer and it got into an ugly fight which resulted in him running away, with nothing but a knife (the first thing he stole). Desperate and without a place to go, Ryger became more bold. He resorted to breaking in and stealing more valuable items. He stayed undetected for a long time and even found a place to call home. One day, two years ago, he was almost caught. Ryger left a house with a pocket full of money, when some guards ran into him by accident. In an attempt to shake his pursuers off, he ran into a nearby blacksmith to hide. The smith found him and thought Ryger wanted to steal from him. Ryger was able to persuade the man with a story about how he wanted to make it out of the slums by learning a skill. The smith felt sorry for him and hired him as his apprentice. On that moment Ryger thought about starting a new and honest life. He threw away his last name and sold everything he had stolen with exception of the knife, but his good intentions failed. The thievery had become a habit. It was who he was. He tried to resist it, but the temptation was too much. Only a few weeks after he was hired, a snobby, unthankful and very rich lady shoved the door in his face when he brought her husband’s new sword. A week later the new sword was hidden under a plank in Ryger’s home. It was the only time he ever stole from a customer. Ok, the only thing I haven't figured out is how he joined the thieving guild. Maybe he can join them later?- 68 replies

Can we combine a class with a normal job? Because, like Murdoc, I had an idea for a thief / apprentice blacksmith to keep up appearences. But corrupt politician sounds fun too... So if Murdoc goes for smith, I might go for that...- 68 replies

Graterras Chapter 2: A Second Chance [IC]
Chim replied to Raindrop Valkyrie's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
After Nero explained his plan, Sigurd stayed quiet. He didn’t agree with Nero’s plan and remark about honor not being important in battle. In every other case he would’ve spoken up, but not this time. The wind felt still uneasy while carrying that disgusting feeling. It was the first time Sigurd had felt such a wind and he was taken by surprise that someone could pollute the most beautiful, yet unpredictable, element out of them all. He saw it as an insult to the purity of the Lady Aelia and knew this Death Knight must be slayed, whatever the cost may be. He took a deep breath and started to pray. Oh Lady Aelia, this foul creature is polluting the very wind you created. As your humble servant I will not let such action pass by. I will slay this creature whatever the cost may be. My life, my honor, my skills, it all belongs to you. Even if I fall in this battle, I hope I will have honored you. Sigurd opened his eyes again and spoke up. “I don’t care anymore. Normally I would be against an ambush after you agreed on a one-on-one battle,” he said to Nero. “But this time I’m willing to participate. That bastard is violating the wind with his impure existence, thus insulting the Goddess Aelia. I will follow the plan as long as it results in his death.” -

This looks really interesting. It's a lot to take in and I'm a bit confused about the abilities as well. But the people above me already asked all the questions I had ( abilities and memory loss). If I understand it more after your explanation, I might join.- 45 replies

Graterras Chapter 2: A Second Chance [IC]
Chim replied to Raindrop Valkyrie's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Sigurd had made it almost to where Orpheaus was, when he saw Odin getting up. He was unable to see the dwarf earlier from his previous location, but that would explain the behavior of some of his companions. Sigurd respected Odin and felt relieved that he was save, when he suddenly started to shiver. An unnatural ice-cold wind was wrapping around him, like it was trying to strangle him. It carried the feeling of death and made Sigurd nauseous as he froze for a moment. He heard Brass saying something about the Death Knight but most words were lost in the deadly wind. Sigurd knew the giant Victonari was right as he yelled a warning towards his companions. “Guys, we’ve got company!” -
The ride with Onyx cleared Trystane’s head. He decided not to think about the old woman anymore as she either was plainly nuts, liked to scare tourists or ate too much of the wrong herbs; which would explain the smell. Meanwhile it was already late and almost time for the resurrection he had heard so much about. His curiosity got the best of him as he delayed his search for the black market and decided to go take a look. He was still skeptical about it as it was probably a trick played by people with power to gain even more influence over the commoners. After a few more minutes Trystane noticed he came closer to the Holy Grounds. The streets were packed with people and it was hard to find a decent spot to watch; at least if you weren’t riding a 5’8” horse. After making his way undisturbed through the crowd, ignoring the few swearing people as they got out of the way, Trystane found a decent spot to watch. (I decided to move Trystane to the Holy Grounds as everyone else seems to be headed that way)

Graterras Chapter 2: A Second Chance [IC]
Chim replied to Raindrop Valkyrie's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
A piece of the earth hit Sigurd in the back while he was running. He felt how the air left his lungs as he fell on the ground and tumbled towards the forest. He got back up and grasped for air. His back felt sore but he didn’t find any serious wound. Well, since I’m not wearing any armor, Aelia must be protecting me. He thought with a smile. Time to get back into this fight! Sigurd looked around for a moment and saw Orpheaus and Xavier surrounded by skeletons. He started cutting and slicing his way back to help them out. -
Storm Drain Gastrodon is pretty solid on Ground Mono.

Graterras Chapter 2: A Second Chance [IC]
Chim replied to Raindrop Valkyrie's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Sigurd kept cutting down skeleton after skeleton. He remembered Marcus’s challenge, but deep down he mainly did it to fight out a silent battle with Orpheaus. This time he would prove how a real warrior should be. He was so cut up in the little competition, he drifted off and was fighting alongside some villagers, a small distance away from his companions when the Golem showed up. Sigurd started cursing and made his way back. He watched as the Golem didn’t seem to take too much damage as it made its way to Akuma. “So you’re made of Fire eh? Let’s see how you handle some Wind!” Sigurd moved his blades to create some more wind around him. “Take this!” he yelled as he released a compact force of wind that took, if you watched closely, the shape of a boomerang. -
Logan had been applying first aid to the General during the entire battle with the giant bird. His GAO stood by in case the bird would come their way, but the rest of his squad handled it pretty well. Meanwhile Logan was able to stop the bleeding and put a bandage around the General’s head. “Can someone help me get the General to the med ward? He needs further attention,” Logan said while grabbing the General under his arms.

“What? But… but… she was just he-,” Trystane took a deep breath and smiled a little. “Never mind. I’m so sorry Miss, I didn’t mean to startle you. I bumped my head earlier today and must be experiencing some after effects.” He started to scratch his head, still keeping up his fake smile. He was seriously confused. Who was that woman? What did she want from him and could she really see into the future? “I think I need some fresh air. I might be back for that meal though.” He took the young woman’s hand and gave her a kiss while making a small bow. “If you would excuse me, Miss.” With that he left the inn, went to the stables and took Onyx with him. He didn’t feel comfortable leaving the horse alone and maybe a small ride would clear his head.

“Would you like to book a room?” a young lady who just appeared behind the counter asked. Trystane didn’t respond but looked a bit surprised. The statement of the elderly woman had caught him off guard and he was a bit confused. “Uhm apparently I don’t need one tonight,” he said. “But I’m looking for a meal. By the way, where did that old woman go to?” he asked while trying to catch a glimpse of where she went. “And why does it smell like an herb shop in here all of a sudden?”

Trystane smiled and thanked the old lady while making a small bow. He was always happy when he found a place with generous people, it made him feel a little at home. He took Onyx’s reigns and walked casually to the stables. After he gave the horse some hay, water and made sure it couldn’t escape, he went back into the Inn. “Thanks again for the free food for my horse, but I would like to pay for my share!” he said with a big grin. “So, do you have any more rooms available? I don’t know how long I’ll be staying though.” Suddenly his face became more serious as he leaned towards the woman and started to whisper. “But don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone I’m your new favorite customer!”

Logan noticed Lionel chose the same path as him. “We’re not letting it get away with this, are we?” the former cadet asked. “No, of course we won’t. If the General’s plan works, we should be fine. However I’m concerned about the other side. Sid and Clint together are able to blow everything up,” he said with a small smile. “Maybe we’re lucky they didn’t get any grenades.”

Just like I posted in the other RP's I'm involved in: I'll be leaving on holiday this Monday. I won't be online much and can't post. I don't want to hold back the story so if someone could bunny Eugene if necessary.. Sorry for any inconviences but it was pretty much a last-minute call. -
Considering that last post this is going to be a bit awkward... I'm leaving this Monday on holiday until the 10th. I have my laptop with me and I probably have internet access, but I won't be online much and I probably won't post until the 10th. I would appreciate it if someone could bunny Sigurd until then. Or you can knock him out for a week (Maybe Hukuna since you've pretty much figured him out?) Anyway, sorry for any inconviences...

Trystane walked around eyeing the festivities and holding Onyx’s reins in hand. He had come to Cithalos because a big city was a great place to find some clues about the black market. And who knows, that information might involve some particular slave-traders he was eager to meet. Even Cithalos, known as a Holy City, should have some darker inhabitants who were hiding in plain sight. And what better way than a festival to spot some thieves or other shady characters with ties to the black market. Trystane paused when he saw a small inn. “Excuse me; can I have some water and hay for my horse? It has been a long journey.”

Graterras Chapter 2: A Second Chance [IC]
Chim replied to Raindrop Valkyrie's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Sigurd had a hard time keeping his mouth shut after he saw Orpheaus wearing his golden armor again. He only did so because of Bjorn’s promise. After he took a seat, far away from Orpheaus, he took a deep breath when he suddenly noticed a new face. He eyed the woman for a while without really knowing why he found her interesting. He shook the thoughts off as Orpheaus asked for questions. “I have one. What will the big guy be doing?” he said while pointing at Brass. “He might be useful if he comes with us.” Sigurd tried to be as polite as he could without sounding forced. If he could pick any Victonari to fight alongside with, it would be Brass. -

Eugene felt tired when they finally reached the forest. He wasn’t paying much attention where they were going, when suddenly a portal appeared. Eugene watched as the man went through, closed his eyes, and followed. He wasn’t certain he did the right thing, but he didn’t have the energy to find a safe place on his own. When he opened his eyes again he saw a small room filled with people. Apparently there were more newcomers and when one of the men explained the room situation, Lawrence offered his room to Eugene. The teenager nodded, stayed close to the wall as to avoid the others, found the staircase and went to Lawrence’s room. He quickly shut the door behind him and walked towards the bed without really taking in his new environment. As soon as he laid down on the bed, Eugene fell asleep.
