  1. About those keys: 0 is ground floor, 1 is first and so up. Every floor goes to room 29 and highest is floor 7. Girls dorms are located in south-east corner, boys dorms are north-east. If you leave the hall (only those that received a key number) you'll face the gate that's south. I'm working on the map right now and probably end up asking Can't Type's help. (I thought you volunteered before, if I'm wrong just tell me) RoG members: I decided to start with Pineapple and Zephyr. The recruiting happens in group anyway so Flux and Snap can easily join in later. Expect the IC somewhere today / early tomorrow. (my timezone)
  2. EXLink32 The woman at the desk took the papers without saying a word. The badge on her shirt gave away her name was Rebecca. She was wearing her usual lab coat and started looking up information on her computer. “Slade Kafkin,” she read from the monitor. “Here are some documents. This is a map from the Academy Grounds, your student badge and code. At 6 PM professor Redwood is holding a welcome speech in the Contest Hall so please be there.” She stood up and went over to one of the boards and grabbed one of the keys with number 213. “Here you go. This is your dorm key. Use you badge to get access to the building. Feel free to explore the Grounds!” she said with a smile before turning to the next student. TurboAura A guy with a lab coat and glasses took the papers and started typing on his computer, just like his colleague did next to him. He grabbed a key with number 125, grabbed the student card and gave it to Robert. “Have fun exploring the grounds, but be in the Contest Hall at 6 PM,” Brendan said. Tacos As soon as Slade walked away from the desk, he handed his papers to Rebecca. She repeated the same action as before, this time taking a key with number 202. “The rest of the things you need are in your dorm. You’re free to explore until 6 PM!” DarkLight A woman named Nathalie accepted Danielle’s papers. “Welcome to the Academy!” she said while starting to type. She rolled her seat back, grabbed a key with number 008, and rolled back. She gave the key, papers and remark about Redwood’s speech and seemed a little stressed. “Have fun!” she said while sighing. The line on her desk kept getting larger and larger by the minute. Can’t Type A man in a sweatshirt received the papers and looked a bit lost. His name tag was upside down but was readable anyway. Tyron, the P.E. teacher, was clearly out of his element. He was by far the slowest out of everyone sitting behind desks, but he had volunteered anyway. He took a look at James’s form and went to grab key 016. When he came back the boy was gone. “OOY JAMES, WHERE ARE YOU? I NEED TO GIVE YOU SOME STUFF!!” he yelled a bit panicking. Murdoc Nathalie took the documents without looking at Kage’s face. She handed him the documents he needed and grabbed a key with number 027. She explained everything to him so fast she almost stumbled on her words. When she finally calmed down she finished her sentence: “Anyway, just be at 6 PM in the Contest Hall.” She never noticed Kage was actually blind. Dobby A young woman named Phoebe started looking Claude’s data up. She grabbed a key with number 101, frowned her eyebrows and started to chuckle. She remembered who had the other key because the guy was rather weird. She was about to say something when she got distracted by Tyron’s yelling. When she looked back she noticed Claude was gone as well. “HEY, FRUITY GUY, COME OVER HERE WILL YA?” With Phoebe yelling added to Tyron’s, this was bound to be an interesting day. Damn guys, you're way too fast. My bones can't keep up xD
  3. Well looks like Claude doesn't want to get his dorm key and stuff. And I'm going to have a lot of fun with him
  4. I would've let a certain drill sergeant be extra 'nice' to you Updates are coming. I almost got to eat though. And no leaving the building, your PCs are getting some stuff.
  5. Dobby's PC is from Kalos as well. @Zephyr: I'm just glad no one is from Pallet Town.
  6. Hoenn is the closest region so it makes sense. Sinnoh on the other hand isn't very popular (only Pineapple) and Johto also has 1 person iirc.
  7. This is only for those that signed up as students. The RoG Members topic will follow. August 31, 8.27 AM Professor Redwood left the Contest Hall. After doing a last check-up of the equipment, everything seemed to be ready for his speech later that day. He looked at the gates, then on his watch. The first early birds will arrive soon, he thought. Everyone knew that the gates opened at exactly 9 AM, but some people wanted to arrive before the mass or were just too excited to wait. It was then that his attention was drawn by a figure walking up to him. The sun was low and blinded Redwood a bit, but he recognized the silhouette. How could he not? The man walking up to him was 6’2” and looked a bit intimidating with his red hear and beard. But Redwood knew better. The man was one of the kindest people he knew, and he knew a lot of people, and very popular with students; Devin Cadmus, current leader of the E4 and master of Dragon types. “Good morning Devin, what bring you here?” Redwood asked. “Hello Professor, I was just checking if everything was ready in the Entrance Hall,” Devin said a bit concerned. “What went wrong this time?” Devin sighed. Every year something had to go wrong and every year it involved at least either Phoebe or Tyron. “Phoebe can’t remember where she put the box containing the dorm keys. Students can’t go into their room unless they are opened with a master key.” Redwood raised his eyebrows. Of course, of all the things they could lose, they had to lose the keys on the opening day. “Remember me we should use electronic locks next year. That way students only need their Academy ID Card,” he said rubbing his temples. This was exactly why he let his secretary deal with all this stuff. “And what are those papers you’re carrying, Devin?” “Hm? Oh, I almost forgot about these. I was just looking through the list of new students. We got a lot from other regions this time too. Did you know there’s a kid in here that ran away?” “Ah yes. I already called his parents and told them I accepted his apply into the Academy,” Redwood said while walking towards the Academy building. “That must’ve been a pleasant conversation,” Devin remarked sarcastically. “You have no idea… They started yelling, called me irresponsible and something about giving a bad signal to kids running away from home… I just asked them if they preferred if I left him on the streets to lead the life of a thug…” Devin chuckled. He knew all too well Redwood never declined a potential student, no matter their background. He followed the professor without saying anything and mentally prepared for the frustrating adventure that awaited them: finding those damn keys. ********************************** A little while later Devin managed to find the keys. He came to the conclusion Phoebe simply forgot to pick them up in their respective dorms. “I’m so sorry!” she said for about the hundredth time. “I was so sure I picked them up last night!” “No harm done, Phoebe,” Redwood answered. He stared at the massive information board located above a broad staircase. The board contained the details as to where to find everything in this massive building. Students automatically came face to face with it when deciding to go to the left or right in order to reach the first floor. On the ground floor, next to the staircase, were two large openings. The one on the right had a sign that indicated the cafeteria was there. The doors were open and if one peeked through it, they could see there was a place for every student. But since a lot of families visited on this day, one could choose to sit outside as well. The doors on the left side were closed. They lead to a corridor filled with classrooms, but it was impossible to reach them. The entire left side, if you faced the stairs, was closed off by 8 desks containing a computer. The computers were all connected to a big central machine that was connected to the power source. It was flanked by two massive wooden boards containing keys. Devin and some others, including Tyron, were still finishing up hanging the keys by pairs in numerical order. *********************************** Meanwhile the clock reached 9 AM and the gates opened. The first students, and some of their families, made their way down the path to the white Academy building. All they had to do was waiting in line at one of those 8 desks with their sign up papers in hand.
  8. I'll just do it. I made a PC to make it a little easier for me to deal with such a big group. Also while looking back through the characters; a lot of them come from Hoenn. Some share the same hometown and all. Anyway here's mine: Name: Evan Reeves Age: 15 Birthday: May 17 Personality: Evan can be impulsive when making decisions, doesn’t deal well with stress and doesn’t show his emotions. He learned to keep up a smile no matter the circumstances. Appearance: Program: Trainer Starter: Eevee Hometown: Lilycove City Background: Evan comes from a rather poor family not so far from Lilycove City. His mother works in the museum and raised 3 kids by herself: Evan’s older brother Jaime (16), Evan and his little sister (12). Both brothers dreamt of becoming the region’s champions and traveling around with Pokémon, despite the objection of their father. The man, who barely could keep a job, ordered his sons to stop the foolish dreaming and look for a real job. He even went as far as the forbid them from having Pokémon. Later they found out that the reason: their father failed miserably at becoming a trainer. Needless to say the young boys rebelled. They befriended, in secret, some wild Pokémon including an Eevee. It was around that time their dad left for Johto. He used the excuse he could earn some money there so they could live a normal life. In reality he joined Team Rocket for the money and never looked back. Evan wasn’t aware of this until 2 years ago. His brother had an accident with his bike and ended up in a wheelchair. The costs went up and Evan’s mother started working double shifts in the museum. Jaime felt guilty and as a way out blamed their father. He told how he heard the conversation before their dad left. The guy despised his life and earned for money so bad he was willing to join a team of villains. And for the first time Evan realized his dad would never come back. He and Jaime decided not to tell their little sister and aim for their dream again. They decided the best way was for Evan to apply for the Ymora Academy, while Jaime worked on his recovery and went to Hoenn Academy instead. Students IC will go up in a few minutes. Still writing the intro.
  9. I was playing around with that idea... And it could work since RoG has a somewhat different timeline...
  10. “Son of a…“ Trystane started. “How did it do that?” he asked Aaron. Still confused and not waiting for an answer, he started to pursuit the weird frog.
  11. Ok, I think this should be enough people. As soon as Flux and Snap complete their sign up sheets I'll open up the IC threads. And I also decided to make a PC character instead of using Lana all the time. I'll get that profile up somewhere tomorrow as well.
  12. You can do with your team whatever you want. You can also have more then 6 like the others, but I'll leave it more up to the RoG members to decide. Also I don't think I mentioned this before: RoG members, unlike the Students, are allowed to use berries in a battle. Those guys don't play by the rules and some of them even use their Pokémon to attack their opponent directly.
  13. Logan turned around when he heard someone yelling. No, not someone, he saw himself. The fake Logan was charging with a combat knife while the real one moved closer under the disguise of Smoke’s attack. The real Logan wasn’t the best in hand-to-hand combat but shouldn’t be underestimated either. He grabbed his opponent by the wrist, turning the knife away from him, and tried to flip his fake over the shoulder.
  14. And how far can we control the fight with our doppelgangers while Sid finds a solution?
  15. You get your second one immediately. The rest you can catch during missions.
  16. I'll add Galen to the list. And I added Zephyr's character as well. She finished her character earlier today. So when Flux and Snap finish their PC's we can start.
  17. Well it's up to you. I should've made that timeline earlier though. Younger kids could've been raised in the hideout and used to deliver messages and things like that.
  18. I updated timeline. Your character is 18 so from the year 102. Considering your backstory (team galactic's plot) you joined somewhere 109-111. Those organizations didn't care about using young innocent looking kids to gather information. You wouldn't have had your own pokémon or be involved in anything big happening though. LT-system is still new and was introduced at the same time as the organizations showed their faces.. Most characters would be around 4-5 when that happened. Only exceptions that are still around are Rocket and Plasma. (Consider this to be first generation growing up with the LT-system)
  19. Since the history is a wall of text, I made a timeline. This can come in handy for those RoG members since they could 'switch' organizations. Be aware: you would be very young in your first team. (Bibs, your character was only 7 or 8 when joining Galactic) Timeline Edit at 3.30PM: I updated the timeline. I made a typo earlier and something came up so I had to go. And I forgot to save my timeline so I posted it anyway xD
  20. Good point. I didn't think about that, but I see no problems why I couldn't implement it. Every region can have it's own dialect but there has to be some sort of 'main' language. After all the Academy attracts a lot of international students and it would be a problem if they don't understand each other.
  21. I hope it will work out. I planned the things to happen for all 3 years... xD Well that gave me something to work with. And it happens to fall perfectly in what I had planned for the RoG members anyway. I was thinking about starting tomorrow / Tuesday. I'm just waiting for Zephyr, Flux and Snap to fill out some more for their characters. And since there are 4 (and later on 5 with Stratos) RoG members I'll do separate threads. They are in a different area and won't run into Students anyway so I like to keep it separated for now.
  22. If that's what you want to do. I was thinking that they would know, but you can say he didn't fill it in in his forms. But first day either Phoebe or Devin will find out. And Devin won't be fooled easily. Edit: @Pineapple: Yes. There isn't a species clause. I think 4 people already mentioned Gardevoir as a possible addition to their teams.
  23. Accepted. And damn, I never thought so many people would be interested. So far I'm at 11 students and 4 RoG members o.O And I finally finished some RoG members. I'll update them in the character post.
  24. This. Those programs aren't all that important. I'm not going to do each class since that would be boring. (I will do some but all of you will be there, regardless of the program) Most 'events' will be excursions and things outside of class. And then you can do what Murdoc said. @Snap: Looks good. As soon as your backstory is finished I'll add your character to the rest of them.
  25. Didn't you open up an interest check for this before? And if it didn't work out back then... Plus the timing isn't in his favor either. I might get a post up for this, it's taking longer since I'm a bit busy at the moment. And since this world is far from what I'm used to, I want to take my time and not just post something for the sake of it.
