..Really? But why? Repeating the same thing for over 10 years, it was a really great change for them imo. They actually felt "badass" for once instead of having that clown vibe
-
That is true indeed, Gates did feel easier That's why I secretly hope that we won't be able to evolve our starters until post game...evolving would likely just make things easier
-
There was a time in BW where team rocket actually became kinda cool and stopped trying to kidnap a pokemon every ep... kill me if I know why they made them revert back to the petty thieves who blast off every ep :|
-
If they follow the pattern, if we see anyone, I think it will be Iris :\

Lovely Luna art meanwhile still lurking around in search of Lucia fanart

Voted for May because May is cool. The episodes with May..and also Dawn were the coolest for me, as far as the anime can be cool that is. And of course they also had Brock there, Brock will always be the coolest of the male bunch surrounding Ash

Support Can't top explorers of sky and the feels there. Ofc I'd love if this game manages to top that. Do you guys think mega evolution will be available before endgame? And do you think some bosses will be megaevolved as well? I think to properly include mega evolution, our starters will probably be able to evolve during the main story, but who knows. . it could well just be advertising a concept on that picture And now we kind of can guess that the plot will be related to Hoopa yet again .. and thus we also can kind of guess how the multi legendaries tie in there as well

But static itself deals no damage :? Even if we say a ground type gets affected by it.. Oh well. I'll never like nor approve of the ways they make Ash win most of his gym battles in the anime. That said, Ash vs Paul 1st 6v6 battle was THE best and most realistic battle Ash will ever have.. that's what would normally be happening in his battles if plotarmor didn't exist. I'd much rather him for once be prepared with counters and not just sending out a quadruple weak pokemon against whatever gym and winning via plotarmor or some magical spinning moves that go through anything
-
Can't say anything to that because I don't think the Ep15 gym will be the last level cap there will be . I haven't played Ep15 yet so I don't know, but are you saying that because you can only see lv 80 as the last number in the badge case or because of some other piece of information that presumably confirms there won't be further level restriction? I mean, in episode 14, the last thing we could see in the badge case was "75" , and yet the next number got added with Ep15. I always thought the current max level caps get included only with each new episodode, but I'm not sure

That's understandable for a creator to wish to cater to everyone's wishes, but the people came to play this game knowing it was meant to be hard / challenging, so they should probably be the ones who knew what they're getting into and should try to develop or adapt more to the difficulty, while we, the other side of the playerbase , have been playing the easy pokemon games since the beginning of their existence and I'm sure anyone can agree that it's really exciting to finally see something that will be different. Naturally, it's disappointing to see it all go down the drain because just like mainseries pokemon games, everything gets dumped down in order to be delivered on a silver platter to the people who don't like effort, instead of making them develop their skills and better themselves. There's a reason the recent generations are considerably dumber or lazier in total percentage than the generations 10 or 20 years ago.. when everywhere things keep getting easier and more hand-holding is promoted.. That's just my opinion, though. Like I said, for many gyms, setting the AI to the absolute maximum they can have would fix their issue and make them be in the golden middle of difficulty, some others could use team tweaks because they don't make proper use of their given teams. Anyway, that said, by no means am I saying, nor will say Reborn is a bad game, nor do I plan to stop playing it because it's still the best pokemon game I've ever played. It being hard and a challenge only made it 5times better in my eyes.

Do you also defeat ground types with electric attacks?
-
Yeah, people do develop a bit while playing, that much is always gonna be true. What I meant to say is that I don't think that's a major as to why the game seems considerably easier than it used to be.. It's rather a mix of various factors I'd say. Never said Reborn is like a mainseries game now, but as Gaunt said, it sure looks like it's heading more and more towards that direction. Of course the gyms are still harder than your average pokemon game, but as it stands right now, the same applies that you don't even need to keep pokemon in rotation in order to pass gyms... and yes, a single strategy works on all gyms and you don't need to adjust what you do anywhere , tested and proven in my case (even on the dittoceus). tldr Not saying Reborn should be a nightmare game, I'm saying that I'm gonna put my hopes in the belief that it's gonna start being as it used to be- a challenge that makes you think out of your comfort zone instead of going through every gym with the same team and same strategy like you can do now. Can any of you really think back to what gyms used to be like before, compare them to gyms now, and say player development is the major reason why they're easier? :| I can't. I think as it stands now, the absolute maximum AI anything in the game can get would do some gyms wonders, and a few team adjustments on some other gyms, especially Serra who makes 0 use of her otherwise very cool field.. And I still think the level-nerfs of the gyms were unneeded. Basically I guess we're on the same opinion. For the record, I never once dispelled a field of a gym leader, not even Charlotte, and still managed to win by some means, which is what made, and still makes the game most fun..except that you don't need to think so much at all anymore
-
The 1st 2 were fairly noticeable but I still have no clue what the actual reason behind the last one's tile is ...Personally don't think you need to trial-and-error in this gym , it's not that hard

Don't forget the thunder armor in Hoenn vs Tate and Liza. With a pikachu magically not harming swellow with thunderbolt but creating a thunder armor for it -facewall- The list goes on, but better not delve into it

Started back when game had only 7 eps, took a break until it had 9 ...it was quite the challenge back then and I really loved it and couldn't wait for more eps to come :| took another break until episode 13 and started a new playthrough... a lot of things didn't pose a challenge already, or weren't half as intimidating as they used to be. As we got Episode 14, I started yet another playthrough, only to find that things just keep getting nerfed, all the way up to ep15 apparently. As I've been watching my friend's playthrough, so far the only thing that posed a challenge was the dittoceus, all other things needlessly nerfed.. Scared to see the new Charlotte now, and even radomus/luna/samson- Indeed it's quite the pity imo and I hope someone out there realizes it and changes things :| but hey, at least the story is still really great still

If you mean the ability, all pokemon can have their HA
-
WELL at least it has been confirmed that the questions make a return to play a role in which pokemon you end up being!.. That's something promising along with the hunger system, but even so, the overall portrayal of the game doesn't give me the vibes of an in-depth plot /good story... oh well, we'll see when it's out I guess
-
The AI is probably not even set to 1/2 of the maximum it can be set to, from the looks of things (i.e. Serra's team spamming bug moves on Fire types, Noel's 'Fable spamming moonblast on a Fire type and the list goes on ) I am just curious to know if Reborn was made with the aim of being "not like your every other game" but for once a challenge, why does it keep getting nerfed :? Upon reading that everything from Noel to Charlotte has gotten a decrease in levels, I'm actually scared that even Charlotte won't pose a challenge anymore ..

But you can't reset the egg's contents can you?
-
Reset the egg until it hatches into a 'mish? But wasn't it locked dependin on your starter? I'm lost
-
Which event is that? I remember no police officer event o.o other than the Growlithe one. What exactly do you do? ..and where
-
Obtainable list says Shroomish is a limited event, but this still lists it as N/A. Anyone know what the actual case is and if 'Mishes are available, where and how?

Raider's Cross-monotype run through hell

I can assure you that's not the case by far I can plough through the entire game nowadays with little to no strategy, personally, and I don't think I've grown in strategic skills or anything. I've always played the same way as ever. It's just hard to not notice the nerfs and how easier they made things. And whenever you have a chance to battle Serra in her new arena with her new team, you'll find that somebody out there really hates her as her gym is quite the joke to the point that her son is a more difficult obstacle and makes better use of the field than her. For every gym out there, I'm fairly sure tuning up the AI considerably would solve the issues, but Serra's case..yeah, her team needs proper builds for the field given to her. Spamming signal beam/mirror shot doesn't exactly stop a fire type at all..
