Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?
Masquerain replied to ArmoredGuardian's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Am I the only one that sees the eyes aren't blue, but rather turquoise or teal (aka greenblue) ?... That's not Bonnie, it's just another character from the past that has the same.... well let's just say same parallels as Bonnie. Ash has had enough of those himself where people mistook him for someone else because this and that. I see this as a way to "explain" Bonnie's relevance in regards to the Zygarde stuff I think that little girl is the daughter of the girl who got turned to stone or something, but not related to Bonnie in a literal way, nor Bonnie herself -

Think it's gonna make Yveltal and Xerneas actually appear in XY ...if even in theory -

Wasn't there also a random episode with Alexa and Sycamore announced? Apparently it's a special The Legend of XYZ -
This is probably among my favorite Generations episodes so far. The whole sequence, bgm, dialogue and everything was quite epic. That cliff though. On a side note, Archie and Shelly are exactly as I imagined them Also..

It will not. IIRC Reborn is the last pokemon project in the foreseeable future

You're not alone. Fern is an ass, but he's too petty to be worth my curses and condemnations. The moment the asshole realizes and admits they screwed up is always better than wishing death or harm upon them

Do Pokemon in the Anime/Show/Games Eat Each Other?
Masquerain replied to SurrealBeetle's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
I have always thought Yanmega to be quite badass, it's apparently a beast too. I have to doubt a dragonfly going for bears for food though. Don't bugs eat other bugs mostly?- 32 replies

Well holy sheet, damn Metagross, you scary. Not only does it get pancaked, but devoured mercilessly... That said, what DO Metagross prey on?- 32 replies

But dogs also eat their own poop. Does that mean dog-based pokemon eat trubbish/ garbodor?? Jokes aside, I believe the butterfly-eating thing is not really part of a dog's diet but more like an isolated case of cluelessness (They say pugs aren't very intelligent, but I wouldn't know). I also don't think Snubbul is based off of pugs, but rather bulldogs (i.e. their name)- 32 replies

I thought people already managed to grasp her personality was akin to this one from the games. At least I always imagined all of these characters the same way I saw them portrayed in this ep

I'm not even sure why there's an argument about this. Neither side can prove or disprove the reasons behind the art/design changes, so may as well just all agree to disagree. If you like it, cool, if you don't, also cool. It may or may not be trying to appeal to children or may or may not be trying to emulate Yokai Watch. Maybe it is to allow for more vivid animation, maybe it's not. All in all, studios always have a reason for changes and sometimes those reasons do indeed come from public discontent with the previous installment. One thing is for sure, and that is, the SM anime is going to be light-hearted and focus more on casual slice of life themes rather than intense badge-collecting and fighting in tournies or leagues and saving the world from the villains. Its tag line is apparently "a laugh a minute", so that entails they wish to emphasize a more comedic aspect this time around instead of action( hence Ash's numerous questionable faces and acts). Personally, the change isn't to my taste since I don't approve of retcons and blatant disconnecting from previous series. I like my continuity and consistency along with closure, thus I've chosen to stop being a viewer of the anime after XY&Z. Other people are free to like or dislike the new thing, as well as watch or not watch it. Now onto today's episode: Next week's preview: -

Well, their skin looks rocky , never knew its actually ..flesh. That's weird to imagine. Bianca is weird tho :| What would predators want with fruit though? I dare say they're after the meat more than anything else Are Snover even meat? They look like.... nothing much. Weavile's animal species feasts on eggs so I'm not sure they'd directly hunt for meat. Rather they'd prey on unguarded egg nests- 32 replies

I ain't really big on which birds are invasive or not but I reckon Mandibuzz isn't one of those. Vultures just lay in wait for their prey to die. It's like some creepy dood is watching you struggle to survive and just laughs at you instead of helping so rude. But anyway, I presume it'd help with decomposition or so. There are things like Sandshrew, Trapinch, Baltoy and Cacnea. We can assume Sandshrew and Trapinch provide meat I meant Sawk and Throh (but I call 'em suck and throw, I dislike them). I presume those are not meat, akin to rocks and whatnot Bananas grow on Tropius and people harvest and eat those. Snover share the berries growing on them with others We can assume Pokemon provide various means of nutrition, be it with their meat, something that grows on them or something they just ..have- 32 replies

Well, regular Rattata were in Alola so in a way, they were Alolan Rattata . But yeah, it's still another indication of the fact Pokemon do eat each other and that humans do indeed resort to murder if they find it necessary. I think all Pokemon are meat, regardless if they're a grass or water type, so long as the species they're based off of are meat. I mean, dinos and lizards and whatnot may have been herbivores but they were still meat and the prey of carnivorous dinos/lizards. I don't know where things like Suck/Throw came from or why they're born from eggs wearing martial arts outfits, but, not all Pokemon are animals so there's that I guess. Do you think Vanillish line tastes like Icecream or like ice? I think we already have cases of regional birds being found in multiple regions, mostly regions with appropriate climate for said birds. I think vullaby/ mandibuzz would also do well in the Hoenn desert. Given the nature of vultures in real life, you could also presume that Mandibuzz also feed on the remains of things that couldn't survive the desert I suppose both came around the same time since both Durant and Heatmor belong to Unova. They are also found in the same locations in Gen 5 games- 32 replies

That last episode practically "confirms" that the trio are indeed legendary dogs. The silhouettes resembled hounds or some form of dog. I still find it incredibly weird given that 2/3 of the trio are wild cats...and yet they're called dogs.. Oh well, I enjoyed these 2 episodes. It was nice to see Silver and Johto lore overall has always been awesome.

Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?

Yeah, it's presumed Alain got rid of his mega bracelet because its origins tie it to Lysandre and Alain doesn't trust that the bracelet won't be doing something else to fuel malicious intents. I think that's fair enough, I'm sure he'll get a new one eventually, maybe from Steven or Sycamore. I'm also sure he still has his Zard X stone, just nothing to use it with. I think what Alain means is that he can never win against Ash in a way that isn't the traditional battle victory meaning of the phrase. More like, Alain has realized that as a human being, he can never win against Ash's pure determination and strength because Ash was able to believe in Alain even after finding out about everything. Ash was able to not break down in the face of Kalos destruction and Ash was able to open Alain's eyes to what he must do. All in all, I just think Alain believes Ash has the qualities of a winner in a moral sense and that he himself can never match them. For the remainder of this anime, we have Serena's episode, we have an episode for RIP syncfrog, an episode where the group says their goodbyes, and then we have a random episode about Alexa and Sycamore exploring ruins in attempt to find out the secret of the legendary pokemon (Zygarde? Or maybe all 3 Kalos legends) -

Pretty sure most people classify his looks as goofy/light-hearted/kiddy rather than hideous but well. It's been a good run but the anime's done for me -

So that the yokai watch vibes can be strong and so that kids can look at a goofy kid going on a Hawaiian adventure
