Rose opened her eyes into slits and stepped out of the staircase slowly and into the open. She had thought of a backup plan in case this happened, and was ready to put it in motion at a moment's notice. Speaking aloud for a moment, Rose replied to this angry woman, "Fine, I'll do as you like only if you keep your word." She slowly dropped the magic of the Freeze "charm" and tensely waited for her friends to be let free. Rose was well aware that what she was going to do next would piss this demonic woman off greatly, and wanted everyone in the clear before she struck. Movement caught her eye, and she assumed it was Kenny, who had slipped off into the shadows. /Hopefully he can improvise,/ Rose thought to herself wryly, knowing that because no one knew what she was going to do, great improvisation and skill would be needed in the next few minutes.

Rose looked at the fight they had entered in horror. Watching Byron's shot zoom toward the winged creature, Rose lifted her spear from the ground. She no longer needed to to walk and would now have to use it again on an aggravating demon that wouldn't quit. But before that... Glancing around the area, Rose noted that Ixidor and another girl were there, looking shocked with the fighting. Another, older woman was there as well, but it was difficult to make out her features. For a split second, Rose wondered whether they were aiming at the wrong target before deciding there was only one way to find out. She heard a thump further away on the ground, and knew that Byron must have hit his mark. "Freeze," she said quietly, to where only Byron and Kenny could hear her. She had her eyes closed, and hoped to freeze all three of the women, but was really concentrating on the unknown woman who was hidden by the dust. "Kenny, Byron," Rose muttered, hoping that her spell was working, "I'm going to stay here and hold them for a bit, find out more about them. You all go help Ixidor." She knew that Ethic didn't like Ixidor, but the kid had saved her life and she would do the same for him. Slowly she moved backwards into the staircase, trying to avoid being seen by the others that were fighting.
