Rose gasped in pain as she flew back into a wall before falling to the floor. I'm really tired of injury, she thought angrily, struggling to her feet. Even with Kenny's healing, Rose's shoulder still wasn't in too great of shape and split open from the impact. Quickly she retreated into the shadows and focused on the succubus. The first thing the young woman did was to send a high power pyrokinetic blast toward the demon, though she didn't bother looking to see if it had worked or not. She then began to run, drawing pencils from her bag and quickly turning them to daggers with her sleight of hand. Each left cuts on her arms that bled freely as she silently navigated the circumference of the demon's realm. As Rose ran, she flung daggers toward their opponent with only a brief glance to ensure where she was aiming.
I hope this works, she mentally huffed. Rose had calculated that the only way to kill this foe would be the same way that she, Kenny, and Byron had killed Aighan-- a stab through the heart. However, her current goal was just to incapacitate, so she aimed anywhere she could-- eyes, wings, the viper-like tails--unsure if she was making hits or merely annoying. Taking a double take, Rose gulped. Oh great. I thought she'd be tough enough without snakes. The young woman stopped for a minute in the shadows and backtracked a ways, so that her location might not be given away yet. We have to get close to her heart, she thought in a panic, yet she'll see any of us coming from miles away. There's no way that this will work, unless-- Her eyes widened as she realized a way to distract their foe and give the others what they needed most-- time.
Summoning every bit of courage she had, and knowing that it would probably end in her death, Rose ran toward one of the viper-like tails and, at the last second, used her spear to vault over the viper's head. As she was in the air, the young woman shut her eyes, thinking one thing. I hope this works.
