Why is the ability pickup important?

Hey everyone, I have been training my shiny new dragalge and while training I imagined it being on land, but it being a giant seahorse made it pretty hard for me to imagine it. So I went to bulbapedia and searched if they only appear in water or also on land. As far as I discovered they only appear in the seas which cofused me a bit since they are not water type but poison/dragon. This Pokedex entree kinda confirmed it: "Tales are told of ships that wander into seas where Dragalge live, never to return." So this made me wonder, why does the underwater field not make an exception for dragalge? "Non-water types' Speed is quartered, except for Swift Swimmers." I know this might be a minor point, but I think Dragalge deserves a bit more love than this, and it would be right to make a little exception for the mock kelp pokemon.

After seeing the spontanious respond of mrs. Absolute_Zero I would like to revise my words. I really really like it, and I would even love to see more, that's why I try to criticise it as best as I can so you can make it even better! The confrontation is great, but what makes a confrontation even greater is the build up. When the tension rises before the confrontation and I'm shaking in my seat from anxiety that's when I know the confrontation will be best. Of course the actual conversation shouldn't be a letdown then, that'd be very anti-climactic, but I'm sure that won't be a problem for you that's a compliment. Still loved the story, but I want to love it even more!

I just read the second one (fernfiction) and I do like it but I have the feeling of being thrown in the middle of something and not staying untill the ending. I'm guessing you're continuing it or was it a one chapter story? Would be a shame, I think there is more value to get out of it as trump would say Again very well written with no gram errors as far as I can tell
